First female sailor completes Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman training

For the first time, a female sailor has successfully completed the grueling 37-week training course at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado in San Diego to become a Navy Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman (SWCC), the boat operators who transport Navy SEALs and conduct their own classified missions at sea.

She was one of 17 sailors to graduate and receive their pins on Thursday. Only about 35% of the students complete the training and are pinned.

For obvious reasons, the Navy has not released her name, but she will now report to one of the three Special Boat Teams.

Congratulations, young lady.

First female sailor completes Navy special warfare training

Lolita C. Baldor

WASHINGTON (AP) — For the first time, a female sailor has successfully completed the grueling 37-week training course to become a Naval Special Warfare combatant-craft crewman — the boat operators who transport Navy SEALs and conduct their own classified missions at sea.

Navy officials said they would not identify the woman or provide more details on her — a routine military policy for special operations forces. She was one of 17 sailors to graduate and receive their pins on Thursday. She is also the first of 18 women who have tried out for a job as a SWCC or a SEAL to succeed.

The sailor’s graduation marks just the latest inroad that women have made into some of the military’s most difficult and competitive commando jobs — just five years after all combat posts were opened to them. She will now head to one of Naval Special Warfare’s three special boat teams.

“Becoming the first female to graduate from a Naval Special Warfare training pipeline is an extraordinary accomplishment and we are incredibly proud of our teammate,” said Rear Adm. H.W. Howard III, the commander of Naval Special Warfare. “Like her fellow operators, she demonstrated the character, cognitive and leadership attributes required to join our force.”

Hard earned and well deserved.

Was it a real girl or a tranny?

Ex-PH2

REAL girl and you are being rude.

There are MORE GIRLS coming along in BUD/S.

NHSparky

Hate to say it, but don’t bet on a woman BUD/S graduate anytime soon.

She was a SWCC grad. A tough course, to be sure, but not nearly on the same level as BUD/S.

Harry

Sorry you took it as rude, but nowadays you never know.

Harry

Also please note that a female power lifter from New Zealand just had her Olympic dreams stolen and crushed by a dude posing as a girl; she was booted from the team in favor of a tranny. Not rude, it’s the world we live in.

Ex-PH2

Yes, I do know about that, and trannies should have their own sports divisions. In my view, they are cheating because they can’t succeed in their own birth-related divisions. That includes high school sports where guys who fail to succeed in male sports divisions when competing for scholarships are declaring themselves “female” to compete against natural-born women/girls, just to get scholarships.

It is massive cheating and it is being allowed.

Sorry if I seemed harsh, but there is far too much trash talk about women getting ahead right now, MUCH worse than when I was on AD in the 1960s. And now it involves cheating in competitive sports.

Ironic how in the comment section the same people complaining about you being rude are the same people claiming to hate political correctness. I have been waiting for this event to happen and see the results. The results are interesting that’s for sure. This ex Picture Taker has made complaints when Obama and Biden took up the dude with a dress cause. So total hypocrite. Of course because this vet pretty much lives on this site for over a decade now she will be defended at all cost. So I with as much snark as I can muster shout “Go strong woman” as loud as I can. What happened to all the outrage when females were being pushed through the Infantry years back? Now all of a sudden we are supposed to believe they are somehow tough enough to go into special operations. I guess that soy drink helped the ladies get tough over the years. So yeah in 2021 on a site that is %99 right wing “conservative” we are supposed to say “Congratulations lady shipmate” on invading the special ops forces and woe is us who noticed a history of box checking officers with a mandate of throwing unqualified females into jobs they don’t belong in. So 2021 “clap, clap, clap” It’s totally believable that some female can do special ops competently. This is somehow due to a decade of dainty sexy actresses beating up MMA dudes in movies. So this is some kind of place for vets but don’t say “tranny” cause it’s “rude”. Yeah wouldn’t want to be rude would we. So ironic as how this site caters to the “stolen Valor” meme of making fun of losers who tell grandiose stories of their military derring do. Insulting them is fine, making fun of their families, making fun of them dying either is totally fine here but ask if the “female” who supposedly completed a special operations basic course (which of course was not tamed down into some kind of diversity course or kumbaya campfire course, no certainly not and this chick must just be that… Read more »

Don’t blame me. I still call gays faggots..

https://www.military.com/video/female-marines-knock-out-pull-ups

Now watch this inspiring chubby lump perform 20 pound cleans, 30 pound presses, and “knock out” pull-ups in totally legit footage that doesn’t show her legs standing on assistance bands.

Skippy

Congratulations

Hatchet

Bravo Zulu. That is impressive.

Hardcore! BZ to you Ma’am! Best of Luck in your chosen career.

Sj

Fantastic. I want my daughter and grands to have opportunities just like me. I sucked at pull-ups…they could probably beat me.

Graybeard

Congratulations, Ma’am, and best of luck in all your duties.

BZ Sailor. Glad to see you make the grade

Messkit

After all the reports of females being sandbagged through other SF groups quals, just label me skeptical, in a Don Shipley sort of way.

Green Thumb

Yeah.

Ex-PH2

IN case you two can’t read, she’s going to be driving the boat that gets the teams ashore and picks them up.

Messkit

I read very well. I also read that she will be a boat operator. I also read that the course is very challenging. I also read the prior 17 females failed to complete.

I also read that females are being sandbagged through SF quals. My reading is the basis of my skepticism.

NHSparky

Well done!

Devtun

The training cadre probably didn’t want what happened to several Green Beret Q-Course instructors under MG Kurt Sonntag.

Dustoff

Still waiting for a female PJ.

ChipNASA

They all should be unless you’re gay, nttawwt, oh.. wait.. ”PEE JAY”… sorry 😜

Berliner

Congratulations on her achievement!
