Interesting provenance on the Thompson but it begs the question,
what was the name of the dead British soldier?

When did the well deserved killing of an armed burglar become a homicide? /s/ Give that citizen a reward for taking out the trash. Speaking of trash, check out the linky on that story. Bowling’s head looks like a bowling ball…or a billboard for bad prison ink. Ms Thang was named appropriately too, Ridenour. She looks like she has been ridden for hours, hard, and put up wet. Drug related? Good chance!

Drunk with an axe, facing a pistol armed homeowner, is no way to go thru life, Pops. You’re lucky she didn’t have more range time.

Hey Claw, there may and/or may not have been a few of them “Unauthorized/non TO&E/Surplus to the needs” Thompson type gunz in the dark recesses of the Arms Rooms at Camp Pieri way back yonder. I admit nothing, again…call my lawer. Too bad I didn’t know in advance that I would be signing off on the contents of my hold baggage customs declaration myself.

From what I was told (i.e., not my story), some really interesting stuff came back from Panama after Noriega was overthrown (in the conexes).

Way I understand it, it’s like a flow chart. Is the death due to natural/accidental causes or due to something else? If something else, was it suicide or due to an another person? If due to another person, it is a homicide. Question is what kind of homicide – was it unintentional (manslaughter) or caused by intentional act, murder. Depending on the local law, preplanning, lying in wait, malice, intent of the killing action, or even the occupation of who got killed you have different degrees of murder. A real lawyer could probably explain it more correctly, but just because it is a homicide doesn’t make it bad.

I think the term “justifiable homicide” would be applicable—albeit I’m not a lawyer and have never played one on TV.

Yeah, saw this story when it was first posted and read that they’d arrested Eriz and Lee on Monday(w/ charges pending). Hope they throw the book at Eriz and screw Lee to a wall for a very long time. He shot, she drove and when the announcement was made to ‘turn themselves in’ they ran and hid like the true gutless wonders they are. Now that they’ve been tracked down, here’s hoping the Leos family gets the justice it so richly deserves and needs and that at some point soon, some semblance healing can begin.
Many kudos’ to the Police officers that pounded the pavement and burned the midnight oil to make certain these two were apprehended as quickly as possible.
