Employee Shoots Suspected Robber
BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) – A sporting goods employee that “feared for his life” shot a robbery suspect in the chest after he tried to use a hammer to smash glass to steal guns.
Officers said the suspect was warned several times to stop when the employee pulled out his concealed firearm and shot the suspect once.
The employee told police he feared for his life.

At current prices that’s about $150 worth of ammo, if you can find it.
If you are the only one to be the witness, make sure you follow the lead of the employee in the next story….”I was in fear for my life…I will make a statement to co-operate…I want my lawer here.”
Would that Kel Tec P50 be based on a Marvin design or was that straight out of Star Ship Troopers? Or was that what is to be issued to Assistant Door Gunners for the Space X Mars Transport? Not so sure I want to find myself in a situation that would cause me to need 50 rounds in a magazine to get out of. Prolly have to take out a second mortgage to load both the magazines.
Storm Troopers need lots of ammo.
So the employee, at the “sporting Goods Store”, must have been using one of them micro caliber firearms if he shot the person in the chest and they weren’t bleeding out profusely such that they could “detain” him until police arrived instead of “try to resuscitate”! Guess it wasn’t a “Walmart or Dick’s” since they had a gun counter.
If I were the Kristin OH shooter/survivor, I’m not sure that I would call the po-po to tell them about the shooting. Something to ponder. Goes against the Fourth Ess, “Shut Up”.
IMHO, that Kel Tec is one butt-ugly gun.
I’ve never held or fired a Kel Tech, but their ads put me off a long time ago. And that abomination there just further reinforces my (otherwise groundless) opinion.
YMMV
Ol’ Poe agrees THAT thing is butt-ugly but he also owns one of their Sub 2000 pistol caliber carbines and it’s a sweet little piece. The barrel folds back over the stock to a very compact, backpack-sized 16×7 inches. Mine is 9mm and carried unobtrusively in a tool bag along with several additional, double-stack magazines which also fit the accompanying Beretta 92FS. It’s a nice setup.
The Sub 2000 carbines, especially the 2D Generation models like mine, have become so popular that an entire niche aftermarket has grown up around them with all kinds of accessories, making this inexpensive, personal defense firearm even more appealing.
Dang it Poe, there you go making me re-evaluate my thoughts on Kel Tec. ;D
If I ever decide to invest in a PCC then I’ll be forced to look into that one.
