GALESBURG, Ill. — Another person is now in custody after a Wednesday night burglary and deadly shooting at a Galesburg gun store.

Dominick Booker is facing felony murder and burglary charges after being arrested last night, along with Jakobe Brown who was already in custody. The two suspects in this case made their first appearance in Knox County Court this afternoon.

The incident happened Wednesday night, when police say the store was broken into and the owner fired at the intruders.

It all started after 10 P.M. Wednesday night, when police say four to five men broke into Galesburg Guns, Gear & Ammo. The owner was inside at the time, and police say he fired several shots at the group.

A 17-year-old was hit by the gunfire and later died of his injuries at Cottage Hospital.

Although that Colt 1851 is considered a period game changer, that title actually goes to the earlier “Pocket Dragoons” small frame pocket gun of 1849. Colt sold more of those, and their later variations, than all their other 19th-century revolvers, including military guns.

The baby dragoon type vastly outsold the others.

Yet to this day, Colt and other gun companies play the fools’ game of chasing government contracts instead of chasing average Jo(e) six-pack. Colt -badly- missed the CCW revolution in the 80s, chasing M-16 contracts they lost to FN and handgun contracts they lost to Barretta. Their six-shot pocket revolver has an advantage over the S&W J-frame five shot. So focus on GovMoney!

S&W, of course, went after cop sales instead of Jo(e) Six-pack.

It’s like accumulated wealth causes mental deficiencies. (No chance I will ever suffer that problem, obviously.)

I’ve read somewhere the only casualty of the famed battle between the USS Monitor and the CSS Virginia (Merrimack) was someone shot through a gun port using a Colt Dragoon into a gun port at close range and hit a crewman.

Those young urban entrepreneurs up in Illy noise were just trying to avoid the daytime after Christmas shoppers by coming at night. It’s not their fault the door seemed to be sticking. The picture says 10K words. Guess they’ll be some opening in the choir now.

Flu-ruh-duh Man…AGAIN! Not much to go on there. Did ol’ boy mistake his buddy for a stack of hay? Was he just trying to poke a little fun? Upset ’cause his friend didn’t bring the torch? I’ll take drugs or alcohol for 1000 Alex.

Ahh, the ’51 Colt’s Navy in a .36 Caliber. There was a pair of those in the leaky boat that day when it was crossing the flooded quicksand lake during the tornacane. Repros of Sam Griswold’s copy of Sam Colt’s work. One in octagon and one in round barrel. Griswold turned his cotton gin plant into a facility to manufacture some 3600 some odd of those fine firearms, using melted down Church Bells and candle holders for the brass. A fine shooting iron and accurate as all hell. Alas, when ‘Cump Sherman’s boys were on their Retreat to The Sea back in ’64 they burned the entire town to the ground. If anyone of our deplorables happen to run into an original Griswold the Gun Bunny would be more than willing to pay a coupla 5 hundred USD for it.

Mmmm ummm! Kiss that Angel good morning…Then love her like the devil when you get back home. Who wouldn’t be having day dreams about night things in the middle of the afternoon. And be still my beating heart, would that be a sample of his Saintlyness’ JMB (Howitzer be his name) works she is caressing so delicately? No time for half measures.
