Apparently, when fleeing in droves, with no plan on what to do when they get there, and winter is coming on, they’re just going to go “somewhere” and stay there. There are Twitterpates about seizing a big country house and taking it over. So let’s all just crowd into one spot and make each other sick, right? Makes sense to me.
Yeah, that makes sense, don’tcha think? Last winter in the UK alone was, from what I saw reported elsewhere, rather brutal, especially in the northern end. Not all those old homes have central heating, which we do take for granted around here.

We aren’t having those mass lockdowns here the way they’re going on in New Zealand (#2 is underway now) and London and Paris, and I don’t expect that to happen.

That’s like deja-vu all over again, isn’t it? And that’s just in Paris. London is one of the worst cities ever constructed if you want to escape from it for any reason.
My sister, who teaches a a large university, told me that one of her students said she’d tested positive for Covid-19, and my sister (who is the ultimate control freak) freaked out after the class was over. I spent two days texting her photos of flowers and my cat and she finally did recover from her fright. I can understand her reaction; the bug is quite deadly and we don’t have a vaccine for it yet. The testing stage is not complete, and we all know that someone will have a bad reaction to the vaxx, even if it is safe. That always happens.
But now, think of the possibilities if the Bored Silly Idjits who like to riot over nothing (and steal stuff while they’re at it) were told “stay indoors and deal with it, or ELSE”. Large cities on fire? Oooooh! OH, wait, we’ve already had that. Looting, pillaging, rioting – no, we had that this past summer. Hmmm…. Shelves stripped bare…. Been there, done that. I’ll order more cat food anyway, just in case.
New Zealand is on total lockdown now for the second time. Otherwise, their death rate would likely be higher.
The Governator in Illinois, Pritzker re-upped the lockdown for the state. I haven’t seen anything yet about Wisconsin, Indiana, MO, Iowa, or Michigan doing the same thing, but if you have info to that effect, please feel free to post it and vent your feelings about the whole thing. I think in Illinois, the lockdown essentially extends mostly to restaurants and retailers, although retailers can get into Amazon’s sales corps and do their business online. Yesterday, seemed pretty normal except that kids going Trick or Treating had to go to planned places or get their treats delivered by pipeline, which is really rather a giggle for kids.
That scene from Monty Python and The Holy Grail really does say it all. “Bring out yer dead! Bring out yer dead!”
I haven’t had any ravens (allegedly, the Bird of Doom) show up at my feeding station. That bird up top is a grackle. But the squirrel did show up, looking for handouts so I put out peanuts.

Or recognize that the total number if deaths in the US in 2020 has shown no significant increase from previous years, (at least not more than the slightly increasing trend shown over the last 10 years, likely due to an aging population) and as such, the information that less than 10,000 have actually died from the disease alone, and not just had their death from some other cause slightly accelerated (in that they would have died in 2020 regardless), and just stop all this crap designed to wreck our economy and bring on a socialist / communist revolution.
Protect / isolate those truly at risk of adverse or serious complications from the disease, and let normal, healthy people go about their business. Open businesses, including bars and restaurants, and get on with life!
And before I get flamed by the likes of Lars, I say all this as someone neck deep in the response to this dem-panic, interacting directly with multiple local, county, state and national agencies regarding the response. (of course the average citizen can easily find information on the temporary hospitals set up in Denver and Longmont that have never seen a patient (that’s just Colorado, how about the Hospital Ship Mercy in NYC, and I’m sure with a little digging, similar situations can be found in almost every state. Many have started locking down again, including here in Colorado because of reported “spikes” in cases. Of course proximity to the election is never mentioned…

Healthcare providers are deliberately claiming deaths are COVID caused to collect up to $39K in federal funds. Likely about half of that 230K in claimed ChiCom virus deaths are people who were not killed by the virus or were terminal from causes other than this virus. Remember they have been counting murder victims, motor vehicle deaths, and heart attack deaths in those numbers. Also, recent numbers are from people who died months ago. So all the CDC’s stats are bogus.
The masks only help if you’re a carrier, particularly if you’re in the asymptomatic period, however you’re better off washing your hands, avoiding touching your face and coughing into your arm rather than your hands.
Also you know, %.02 death rate, up to .04 with co-morbidity stats means you’re statistically fine. A fun experiment is to go to the CDC website and actually research the numbers.
Fun fact, the suicide rates are up quite a bit this year and might rival the coof stats.
Don’t make me go into talking about Tuberculosis or it’s newer strains, or even the other strains of SARS (The middle eastern one was actually more dangerous and not much harder to transmit)

Masks increase your chances of becoming infected and require you to avoid touching your face, certain variants of mask and proper wearing of a mask. If worn incorrectly you can contaminate as many, if not more surfaces than you would have without it since you’ve created a constant source of infection.
Teaching people how to cough into their arm, avoid their face and washing their hands will go further, saving masks for those showing symptoms or exposed to those that had symptoms.

Removing co-morbidity stats, the Wu-Flu has similar death rates to the normal Flu. Adding co-morbidity rates increases it marginally. The trick is understanding how the disease spreads, which is a mixture droplets and fecal-oral. Both of these can be minimized by washing your hands and coughing into your elbow.
Nevermind that this disease, with a minimal morbidity (Yes, .02 is minimal. Yes that still reaches into the numbers we’re seeing.) and a low mutation rate would probably be better halted with herd immunity. Particularly because we’ve only seen one confirmed case of ‘reinfection’ which was in reality, a mutated, more severe strain that clearly has a lower virulence, or we’d be hearing about it more.
And to reiterate my point from before, since you seem to only work on memes.
Wearing a mask wrong makes things worse as you create more contamination points due to an active, constant source than you would just learning to wash your hands and avoid your face.

Some of the shelves were barer than they should have been, but plenty of paper products. Canned goods and pet food was very slim pickin’s. Ms Thang to the Bakery did have me a deal on some of that fresh baked crusty bread…even sliced up a couple of french loafs for me. Grocery manager told me, when questioned about the empty spots on the shelves, “Man we order everything and they just send what they have…or what they want us to have.” Made out like a bandit on the candy aisle. My sweet tooth should make it thru it all, even if nothing else does.
