The Valiant
I found this video a while back but never posted it until now.
John Chapman, USAF Combat Controller, goes with a SEAL Team to recover the body of a dead SEAL. This action took place at night, and was recorded by the transport helo that took the team there. The odd visual effect is caused by night vision camera use, shot by the CIA drone deployed to record the action.
MSGT Chapman was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously for his actions.

Rest In Peace To A Hero.
‘Can be seen moving ALONE’. Whoa… That’s mission focus!
I second Ninja’s motion and heartfelt sentiment – Rest In Peace Warrior – given to your actions in Life, your eternal rest is well assured. Thank you
Difficult to watch.
S/B required to graduate high school though.
Amen.
Required before voting, as well.
I wear my POW-MIA vest on Sept 19, March 18, the day Ssgt Ray was captured and on his birthday.
A 15 yr kid asked me if I rode with a motorcycle gang…sat him down and explained why.
Kid said he didn’t know anything about the military, war and that is SAD…I gave him one of my bracelets…
Tanks for the reminder Ex! “…no greater love…” “…that such men lived…” MSG John Chapman lives on, surrounded by and in company with the other Heros of Valhalla. May he be awaiting us as we cross over and are Welcomed Home!
Today’s Episode of JAG was a flashback to the Battle of Iwo Jima, with the Ladies of JAG portraying Navy Nurses on the Hospital Ship and the guys portraying wounded Marines/Navy Doctors. It was dedicated to the bravery of those Angels of Mercy and pointed out that if their actions had of been done by men, there would have been awards to them.
I wasn’t a War Hero, but I served with a number of them. And that is not something you can describe to someone properly…They have to live thru it themselves.
These spoiled brats that don’t know how good they have it, living in the Greatest Country the World has ever seen, need to forget about their misconceived social injustices and give Thanks that such people lived…to secure their freedoms to act like spoiled brats.
…spoiled brats…. Yes, I think – quite sincerely, too – that they need to lose everything, including the right to speak at will, in order to appreciate what they claim to despise so vehemently.
But until or unless that happens, they’ll go on throwing tantrums. I really wish sometimes that they’d set their own pants on fire.
I would be satisfied if they just came up with a plan to fix it, rather than only complain and destroy things about it!
“…because you know what complaining about something is, with no plan or concept of how to fix it? Whining!”
After seeing what happened in Georgia with the jogger (which BLM did not seem to complain much about), I realize that Racism does exist in America (just not where most of the complainers say it does, and in the manner they say it does).
When the Senator from South Carolina claims he gets pulled over by police and harassed on a regular basis (I am from SC and vote for Time Scott), I tend to think “hey Tim, have you checked to see if someone stole your Member of Senate license plates lately, or were you just speeding?”
Spoiled, ignorant, arrogant, parochial.
They know nothing beyond their sheltered existence, and believe their experiences are universal, and their perceptions are true.
Well, then, Graybeard, would you agree that losing everything – and I mean every freakin’ thing – that they think is important and not getting it back might do them some good?
Dusty in here.
Rest in peace, warrior.
I commented in the last thread June/July last year.
Balls. MASSIVE.
I just went to the Library (parking lot) and curbside picked up a book (yes I remember those) I had ordered/checked out on line last week.
I heard it’s a good read and I’m looking forward to getting into it.
Thanks MSgt for your ultimate sacrifice.
You are greater than exceptional, bordering on unbelievable.
I’m glad (also this is sad) this was captured on film (digital) to record your heroism.
R.I.P. and “Salute”, you make me proud to have been in “Our” Air Force.
SMSgt Chip
Oh I forgot totally…

WTF? Sorry for the wrong cut and paste…
Well that link is for Dan Crenshaw’s campaign ad for Texas and inadvertently, I posted one of the *greatest* things I’ve seen in a LONG fucking time. I should ask the TAH folks to post it, BUT as Ed got in my ass for a while ago, I’m not going to get into politics here.
It *IS* pretty fucking entertaining, regardless and really good production value.
It really is an apropos Freudian slip.
Anyway, here is the somewhat robotic Tube of You link for the book “Alone at Dawn”, the book that was published after last year’s TAH linky…
Chip
Oh and here’s the Tube of You linky for Dan’s Crenshaw’s Texas Reloaded – Greatest joint campaign ad in history. *Disclaimer*
The amount of “FUCK YEAH! ‘MURICA!!!!!!!” in this ad and link may cause unexpected arousal.*
