Stop Abusing the Birds

| July 14, 2020

Never did I think that something which has stood as a symbol of government for centuries, every cotton-pickin’ where and when, would become a target of the bimbo-brained Lefties, but they will pick on just about anything these days.

Yes, that is a redtailed hawk being verbally abused by a redwinged blackbird, but you’re smart enough to get the drift, which is why I used it.

The American bald eagle has been used as the symbol of this country and many, many others through history, but is now under attack by the numbskulls in the Left. The ignorant idea that the any eagle is a symbol of Nazism or even remotely related to it is not just ridiculous, but clearly demonstrates the utter ignorance of the Lefties and their butt buddies in the media. But are these braindead bots willing to listen to anyone else’s view? No, of course not.

Meanwhile, I’m sure that they are completely unaware that the the Polish government uses the Polish eagle as its symbol of government. And that is only one of many governments doing that.

What the Polish Eagle means to Poland.

The dumbocraps are grasping at straws these days. Everything offends them, which likely includes the sun coming up in the East.  There has to be something offensive in that, such as a Trump connection to China. Yes, they are that brain-drain stupid. What they know in reality could be engraved on the head of a pin and still leave room for Cinderella’s entire ballroom crowd.

They are now comparing Trump’s campaign symbol to the Nazis, which is beyond ridiculous and extremely offensive to me, and I’m not even Jewish.

Read the whole article. If you don’t start snorting with laughter over the – – – – media’s claim, you aren’t awake yet. Read the Twitterpated comments, too. Get some caffeine, to help you move along.

https://dailycaller.com/2020/07/12/usa-today-fact-check-trump-campaign-eagle-nazi-imagery/

Seriously, the Brain Dead Leftie population as a group is dumber than the dumbest con artists on the planet.  I may just order those magpie t-shirts I was thinking about getting a while back.  A magpie can easily be mistaken for MAGA, right?

Thanks to Skippy for sending the article to us. I need breakfast.

I heard the Nazis used to use pens to sign their internment notices! Pens are offensive!!!!

  2. MI Ranger says:

The Nazis wore clothing that was black! Black clothing is offensive, we need to ban Black Clothing as a form of repression!!

  3. CDR_D says:

The Russians use the two headed eagle they inherited from the Byzantines. Double bad.

    I’m sure papa would’ve said…
Muis, you can’t fix stupid so don’t waste time trying…

    • SFC D says:

MRS D says “you cant fix stupid, but you can sedate the hell out of it”.
Did I mention she’s an RN?

  5. Hack Stone says:

There is a well known photograph of Adolf Hitler at the 2936 Berlin Olympics riding in a Volkswagen convertible, the type commonly known as a Beetle. So, if you ever rode in a Volkswagen Beetle, you are an effing Nazi!!!

    • MI Ranger says:

Is that just the Beetle or all Volkswagens?!

    • Hack;
When you mentioned the Beetle, there were stores that sold custom things for cars and hot rods and one of them was the large wind up key with a suction cup on the bottom that you suction cupped to the Beetles rear end and had what looked like a large head of a key on top and when you turned it to wind it up, it made a clicking sound from a clicker below the key head. Before I got shit canned from M Div. to A Gang on the USS Okinawa, Someone bought one and stuck it on the main engine just outside of main control which brought out a lot of laughter so when the Engineering Officer Graves (Mustang) saw it he asks: what is that so someone says, Mr. Graves, that’s the key to the main engine sir so Mr. Graves says Goddammit get that thing off. His favorite expression.

  6. Hack Stone says:

Eagles are symbols of Nazis? Hack does not have a peaceful easy feeling dealing with that information. One of these nights, people on the left will take it to the limit. How long will it take to realize these lying eyes are producing nothing but wasted time? Donald Trump was the new kid in town, and they consider him to be a desperados. We can take solace in knowing that his election prevented that witchy woman from destroying America.

  7. 5th/77th FA says:

OK, FIRST of all, you can NOT use the term “cotton-picking” to describe anything. That is rayciss as the day is long. Bayer Aspirin took the cotton out of their aspirin bottles cause certain people would not buy the product. Not if they had to “pick cotton” to get to the product. True story.

And yep, the Glorious Eagle has been used by everyone as a symbol of power, or greatness, or …reasons. Except…wait for it…African Nations. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think deepest dark Africa has a true Eagle type bird, it’s more like a carrion, vulture, buzzard. This does help explain the vandalism of the Abe Lincoln Monument. As any student of the WBTS knows, Old Abe was the Mascot of the 8th Wisconsin Regiment that flew over many a battlefield. After the War he was a pampered pet and attended a many of the GAR Re-unions.

Cool story linky attached on “Old Abe”!

      There are African eagles, 5th/77th.

Here’s a link to the list.

My favorite eagles are the Stellar’s eagle – HUGE wingspan – and the golden eagle, which is becoming more visible around my AO.

I’m just trying to figure out how obnoxiously childish the dumbocrap twits are going to get before they implode.

      • 5th/77th FA says:

Tanks Ex; shoulda had my /S/ light on high beam. I was making more of a reference as to how some of those from the deepest part of Africa prefered to pick over the fruits of others labor instead of a “fresh kill.” Find it ironic that one of the African Eagles has “Klepto” in its name because it steals the food from others?

Might not want to ask how obnoxiously childish some can be. They’ll take it as a challenge.

      • My favorite Eagle was the Eagle that shit every Friday on payday.

    • SFC D says:

      No shit, there I was…

Late summer, 1993. Convoy from Huachuca to a field site in Safford. SSG H, my section leader, who happened to be black, pulls the 4 truck convoy off of higwhay 666 for a rest, next to a cotton field. SSG H sends three white troops out into the field to simulate cotton piciking, and stands near them with his weapon. SGT D takes a photo of the occasion. SGT H sends it to his mother with the note “Times Have Changed”. Poor woman nearly had a heart attack laughing.

      • MI Ranger says:

Would love to see that photo and comment!!!

Lots of white people picked cotton — my grandmother for one (1909-1998), when she was a girl in Texas.

“cotton-pickin’ hands” and “cotton-pickin’ minute” were common phrases when I was growing up, and we never associated them with racism, race, or anything else.

These damned “wokesters” work me up more than skanky-assed hippies!

        • 5th/77th FA says:

Same here. That was a very common phrase in the South, and as you pointed out, not one bit racial. And some of us were hand picking cotton into the mid 60s. Maternal Grandmother delivered her 5th (of 8) child in the cotton field, wrapped the baby in her apron and kept picking till dark.

I have zero phuques to give to these wokesters, howler monkeys, and other free sh^tters.

Ex-PH2, I swear that these people grew up overdosing on Fruit Loops.

Here’s a bit of history concerning the eagles symbolism thru the years.

“The Native Indians saw the Eagle as a symbol for great strength, leadership and vision. As if to seemingly mirror this, the eagle has been used as a ‘banner’ by many of the great empires throughout history, from Babylon to Egypt, through to Rome and even the United States. In early Christianity the eagle was seen as a symbol of hope and strength, representing salvation. The eagle appears twice in the book of Revelation; both times in a context that suggests it is on the side of God. In Islam, the eagle represents warlike ferocity, nobility and dominion.

In ancient Aztec tradition, the chief god told people to settle at a place where they find an eagle perched on a cactus eating a snake. This place is now Mexico City. Zeus changed into the form of the sacred eagle to help himself control thunder and lightning. The eagle was a strong emblem in the Roman Empire. The Hittites drew upon a double-headed eagle so that they would never be surprised. The Pueblo Indians associated the eagle with the energies of the sun – physical and spiritual – as well as symbols of greater sight and perception.

It may not be coincidence that such different cultures across thousands of years have adopted the same symbol.”

    • MI Ranger says:

      Skyjumper.
Near as I can tell every one of those Empires that you described had slaves, or turned concurred peoples into slaves. So therefore the Eagle must be a symbol of slavery…don’t you know!!! (sarc)
I am sure that every history teacher will now be teaching our kids in school that the Eagle is a symbol of slavery! As “everyone” knows!

      • Skyjumper says:

MI Ranger, if a person were to think about it very deeply, we can all be considered slaves of one sort or another.

Slaves to our pets, slaves at our places of employment, we slave around our homes & vehicles, we slave day & night to advance/improve our place in life to better ourselves and our families, we slave over meal making……etc..

        Scheißest aus!
Let’s just blow the whole world to smithereens with a few megaton nuclear bombs to erase this world from existence & to atone for our sinful ways and sorry ass past. /s

        Now my head hurts.

        Screw them all.
        Fly like an eagle! (smile)

I have nothing to contribute to the topic at hand. I just came to brag on my son. He leaves in late Sep for Great Lakes. He got what he wanted: Cryptologic Technician-Interpretive. His Mother and I couldn’t be prouder of him. They’re plenty of kids his age acting the fools, but he’s one of the good ones. I know plenty of you guys/gals have kids serving, and now mine is to. God Bless them All and God Bless these United States.

    • UpNorth says:

    • FuzeVT says:

Very nice! Congrats to your son.

    • Skyjumper says:

      Congrats also, E4 Mafia.
      Plenty to be proud of.

    • MI Ranger says:

      Congrats E4 Mafia!

    • Ex-PH2 says:

      Good for him!

    • Hack Stone says:

Back in those Desert Storm days, every time there was a work detail to fill sandbags, and there was always a work detail to fill sandbags, the crypto guys (we had a nickname for them considered not pc these days) would lock themselves in the crypto maintenance van, allegedly doing some repairs. Don’t ever recall a piece of crypto gear being turned in for repair.

    • OWB says:

Good on all y’all. Some tough days ahead, but worth the sweat it will take.

    • E4 Mafia '83-'87 says:

Myself and Mrs. Mafia thank you all for the kind words. We wish all the readers, children, and grand children of the TAH family ‘fair winds and following seas’.

  10. AW1 Rod says:

UFB. These USA Today buffoons are simply too stupid grasp how stupid they are.

  11. OWB says:

Their constant state of being offended offends me. So, they should just stop it. Or at least shut up about it.

Yeah, that’s the ticket. Make it a law that you may be offended by anything you want to be offended by, but you are limited to expressing your offendedness only once daily. You may make a sign about your offendedness, but may display that sign for only 10 minutes per day. If opting to display a sign about your offendedness, you may not verbally express an opinion about anything that day. If you express you offendedness other than with you indoor voice, you may not express your offendedness in any manner for 2 weeks.

    • Ex-PH2 says:

I can only say that I’m offended that THEY are offended, and most of them can’t really explain what is offending them unless you show them pictures.

  12. So I have to say by by to all my worn out silver Morgan dollars and others that have the Eagle on the back that I use for doing coin manipulation/flourishes. Isn’t their a singing group called the Eagles that will now have to bend to PC pressure to change their name????

  13. Ex-PH2 says:

Well, I’m offended that those ignorant marones on the Left are offended. Their very existences offends me, never mind the offensive notions they hold that they have the right to be offended by anything at all.

This story is NOT an Alabama/Auburn joke (though in reality, it should be…)

“Incoming Auburn Professor Won’t Say ‘War Eagle’ Because It Contains The Word ‘War’”

    https://yellowhammernews.com/incoming-auburn-professor-wont-say-war-eagle-because-it-contains-the-word-war/

“The Auburn Twitter-sphere is abuzz after an incoming professor admittedly posted his “first controversial tweet” as an Auburn University faculty member.”

“Dr. Jesse A. Goldberg, PhD, according to his social media account, will be starting a new role as a “Lecturer of African American & American Literature and Composition in the English department at Auburn University” this coming academic year.”

“Goldberg’s Twitter bio reads, “Lecturer @ Auburn U | Black Studies, Critical Prison”Studies, Queer Theory, American Literature | Abolitionist | martial artist | views are mine | he/him/his.”

“The following image utilized as his Twitter header seems to explain what he means by “Abolitionist:”

“In a Wednesday tweet, Goldberg said, “I know it’s just a mascot but I’m never gonna be able to call myself a ‘war eagle’ or say ‘go war eagles.’ Sorry.”

The self-described “radical anti-racist white (Jewish) teacher” explained himself in a separate tweet.

“I can’t bring myself to enthusiastically and sincerely use a slogan/greeting/cultural signal with ‘war’ as a primary descriptor. Yeah I know I’m being a party pooper but it’s the kind of language thing that sticks with me,” Goldberg advised.”

“Auburn University’s official twitter account entered into the conversation for a quick correction of the record.”

“Another commenter on Goldberg’s Twitter thread informed the professor that Auburn does indeed have a real golden eagle, currently Aurea — the eighth official War Eagle in university history. Auburn also houses the Southeastern Raptor Center, “a regional rehabilitation and education facility which provides educational programming for those interested in learning about raptors and care to birds of prey in need.”

“Goldberg’s comments have been met with some derision on the social media platform.”

“Good thing I’ve been training in martial arts even longer than I’ve been training in anti-racism, I guess,” Goldberg responded to one commenter.”

What a self-important jerk is he!!!

And my plan for tomorrow will probably offend his delicate sensibilities, too!

      • 5th/77th FA says:

One might would think that his employment with the Kow Kollege would be short, but, after all, it is Auburn. The only smart thing that school has done in a good while is replace the artificial turf with real grass. And they only did that so the cheerleaders would have a place to graze between plays. Hiring this dweeb? Not so much. The poster boy (?) for what is wrong with the colleges in this Country.
