Woman shoots her boyfriend in act of self-defense

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A Treasure Coast woman shoots and kills her boyfriend in what deputies are now calling self-defense.

The Martin County Sheriff said the 46-year-old woman believed her boyfriend was going to attack her with his bare hands.

On Monday CBS12 obtained the frantic 911 call where you can hear the woman is hysterical, barely comprehending what just happened.

“I need an ambulance right now,” yelled Sabo.

“Where,” said 911 dispatcher.

“136 oh my God 136,” Sabo said.

In the 911 call you can hear Sabo of Port St. Lucie panic.

“What’s the street you are on,” asked the 911 dispatcher.

“ I’m trying to figure it out,” yelled Sabo.

“It’s alright catch your breath,” said the dispatcher.

She made the 911 call from inside a 55 and over mobile home community called Leisure Village.

She said she was there picking up her car keys from boyfriend’s mother’s home when her boyfriend, Brock Dion, tried to attack.

“At first he threw a pail at her and missed. Then he threw a large ceramic figurine missed her and hit her car. Having missed with two projectiles he then advanced on her on foot with his hands out like he anticipated to choke her,” said Sheriff Snyder.

In the frantic 911 call, Sabo told the dispatcher she shot Dion in an act of self- defense.

Cocoa police: Laundromat shooting was in self-defense

COCOA, Fla. — Police say a shooting at a laundromat Monday in Cocoa was a self-defense case.

The incident happened at the Dixon Laundromat on Dixon Boulevard.

Police say the shooter was at the laundromat when he was confronted by the victim.

Police says the shooter described the victim as being aggressive and threatening, and said he was in fear of his safety, which is why he fired. The shooter then called 911.

The manager of the laundromat says there was an argument outside the business, and then she heard the gunshots and called police.

“I heard the shooter say something like ‘back-up, get away,’ and I turned around and I heard a pop and somebody say ‘somebody got shot,’” the manager told Spectrum News reporter Greg Pallone.

The victim was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. Police say he made similar statements, saying he was the aggressor.

Victim? *sigh*

You could shoot your fingers off with that thing.

all of these stories are from 2018…

I think I’d rather be carrying that little .22 with some Stingers loaded than a .25 ACP, IMHO.

With the magnum load, that thing sounds like a
snubbie .38 going off. Accuracy… well, you need to be within halitosis range for most folks. They make some of them without a rear sight, which makes hitting anything past about 40 feet problematic. Nice little last-ditch hideout… damn near fits in the watch pocket in your Wranglers.

Yepper, a dearth of FGS. Looking high and low my own self. I believe they’re out there, just not meeting the narrative that the noise media wants to project. Don’t worry about repeats; always good to re-read of dirtbags getting their just rewards. The worm will turn.

Best FGS for me was retiring fairly early with my book and missing the vulgarity infused drivel of the spapos seagull until this morning.

Scary blurb on the national news this am re the tracking of the ChiCom bug. Big promotion of an app for your phone to let the health dprt know if you have been exposed?!? “Oh if it’s for my safety, I don’t mind being tracked.” ?!???!!! And thus it begins.

Watch pocket rocket was my FIRST thought upon seeing today’s gun pr0n. Then low and behold the article showed it being carried in a watch pocket. Go figure. May be ok to pop off the 5 rounds to keep their heads down while you get to a real weapon. Unless of course, as ‘beans pointed out, you shoot your finger off.

Isn’t that what Saint Col Cooper said, (to the effect) you carry & use a pistol to allow you to get to your fighting rifle.

Is this worthy of an honorable FGS mention?

“A Portland man who accidentally shot himself in the groin but told police he was robbed and shot by a homeless man at a bus stop was sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison.”

(He was a felon on Federal Supervision at the time)
