Candace Owens: George Floyd is Neither Martyr Nor Hero

| June 5, 2020

George Floyd was convicted of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in 2009. He pointed a gun at a pregnant African-American woman. As a result of this conviction, he received a five-year jail sentence. In many instances when somebody commits a crime like this, they had previous run-ins with the law. This turned out to be the case with George Floyd. He committed several crimes for which he had to show up in court. He ended up in jail for a few of these crimes.

Prior to his death, he was alleged to have attempted to make a purchase with a counterfeit bill. This resulted in employees calling the police. This led to a chain of reactions to George Floyd being on the ground with a police officer’s knee on his neck. From the video, the police were behaving as if George Floyd was physically uncooperative.

Regardless of George Floyd’s conduct, there was no justification for the way he was handled. This part has thoroughly been covered in the media. However, what the media is not as enthusiastic about is what put George Floyd in this situation.

Candace Owens came out and announced that George Floyd was neither a martyr nor a hero. And rightfully so. George Floyd’s situation is not unique. Many of the victims, that groups like Black Lives Matter lament, have criminal histories. Additionally, they presented themselves as dangers rather than cooperate with the arresting officers.

From The Federalist:

Owens notes that Floyd was high on fentanyl and methamphetamine at the time of his death, according to the autopsy report, and goes on to cite his record which includes jail sentences in 1998, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007. His 2007 arrest, she continues, was for participating in an armed home invasion against a pregnant African-American woman, where Floyd held a gun to the pregnant mother’s stomach.

Owens challenges the idea of lifting Floyd up as a hero. “We are the only people that fight and scream and demand support and justice for the people in our community that are up to no good,” she says. “We are being sold a lot of lies and at the detriment of the black and the white community and at the detriment to America as a whole.

Owens also questioned the narrative of police brutality. “A police officer is 18 and a half times more likely to be killed by a black person than the other way around,” says Owens.

“Do some police officers do the wrong thing? Yes,” she said. “They’re always going to exist because they’re human beings. And sometimes human beings suck…society is not perfectible.”

It is no excuse to paint society with a broad brush and it is certainly no excuse to accept a Democratic narrative.

Many argue that society should simply listen to this specific group and their specific complaints. See what they are complaining about. Many among this group, that society “should listen to”, are saying that the police are racist and they have an “open season” on Blacks. Never mind that simply following instructions, given by the police, and cooperating with them, increases the chances that someone will not end up dying.

Not condoning what I saw on the well publicized video at all. But I haven’t seen the “rest of the video.” The officer holding him down, like he did, for so long, after he was cuffed and under control was just wrong as the day is hot down here. Very little that is brought out by Ms Owens is making the national news. What a shock! I do believe there is way more to this total story than we will ever know. But as we all know, this is Trump’s fault. He built this! /s/

Wait I thought Obama said “you did not build this…we did”

We saw video of him freaking in the back seat of squad car, fighting a officer, then being removed from unit…

It sounds as though his family actually understands the situation a lot better than the rest of us do and have come out against the rioting, but support the protesting.
I am in agreement with the family that this was an unneeded death and there is really no justification for the manner he was treated.
It’s been horrible to watch and my youngest daughter has gone over the edge and become a nihlist of the usual degree with BLM’s !!!

Well, it looks to me that his family cared little about George Floyd while he was alive…

And now they are probably going to be rich.

Same Old Shit when it comes to certain groups who get a ton of $ via lottery, lawsuits, or other endeavors. They’ll be broke as shit within months if not sooner. The term 13M was mentioned this morning on a news site. That will buy a lot of gold teeth, Mad Dog 20/20, lottery tickets, new tricked out pimpmobiles, raunchy ass white prostitutes, and LOUD boom boxes for their cars.

The Other Whitey

Sorta like the incident in Georgia, this appears to have been an impromptu event in the ongoing Dumbass Olympics, Drugged-Out Criminal Retard vs Officer Dickhead.

Floyd shouldn’t have been snorting meth and paying with Monopoly money. Chauvin was a power-tripping asshole who took “Fuck you, because I can!” way too far. The other three cops are pussies for not putting a stop to it. There was no Good Guy in the altercation.

SFC D

That pretty much covers it, TOW! The metric shit-ton of stupidity, douchebaggery, and assholiness of all parties involved outweighs whatever racial aspects were at play.

They were waiting for an ambulance.

Brandon Tatum talks about his criminal history too. I emailed this to Ed not too long ago. I can’t say I’m surprised, no different than Michael Brown, the only difference is in this case, both sides where equally wrong whereas in Brown’s case it was justified. In other words, both where not choir boys. This includes Derek Chauvin.

“Let Us Not Forget A Black Federal Officer Killed While Doing His Job”

“George Floyd is a name now known around the world, after the repellent footage of him struggling to breathe as an arresting officer kept his knee on Floyd’s neck went viral. Many of those protesting in cities across America see in Floyd the human face of a narrative in which white policemen kill unarmed black men.”

“Alas, there has been no public outrage over the equally undeserved death of another African-American male, Dave Patrick Underwood. Underwood was an officer in the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service who was gunned down Friday as he stood guard outside the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Oakland, California. A second federal officer was shot with him but was not killed.”

The FBI says Underwood was killed by an unidentified person shooting from a car. The interim Oakland police chief says this was most likely an attack deliberately targeting uniformed officers. Meanwhile, Gov. Gavin Newsom, who speaks of the protests that followed Floyd’s death as an example of people “rightfully outraged at how systemic racism is allowed to persist,” said of Underwood’s murder that “no one should rush to conflate this heinous act with the protests.”

“It’s disappointing that amid the violence and tragedy the murder of an African-American federal officer has been mostly lost in the chaos. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t serve the preferred narrative about race in America. But Dave Patrick Underwood gave his life protecting a U.S. courthouse so that even those like the monsters who shot him can enjoy due process. Every American who hopes for peace and justice honors this good man’s name.”

ninja, Thank you for these posts. They are disappearing from the inherwebz as fast as they appear.

The story of the murder of these Officers does not fit the narrative that the media and their handlers want us to see.

It is good that the Chinesecommunist Originated Virus Infecting Disease of 2019 (COVID19) is so intelligent that it knows to go into hiding during rioting and looting to protect itself. /s/

A week ago, you could not have a funeral for a family member, but now you can have the presumptive nominee of the Demon Rat Party for President, out and about, in public, attending services. And here’s a ponderable question for all. Has anybody actually seen Mr. Floyd’s body or verified that he is, in fact, dead? You know, we never saw Epstein’s either.

Ninja, your logic is off in orbit somewhere.

1 – Looters, pillagers and rioters can’t be controlled. Only those who are sequestered in their dwellings can be controlled.

2 – The Po-po will not arrest rioters, looters and pillagers because there are two few Po-po and too many of their opposition, and they all smell like sweaty pigs, anyway. The Po-po do not have enough cuffs for all those “demonsterators”. They are insufficiently supplied.
However, the Po-po have enough handcuffs to arrest, immobilize and incarcerate anyone who is foolish enough to go outside without permission while not wearing a mask to keep that sinus infectiousness under the rug.

3 – People who want to be destructive are more intimidating than people who are gullible enough to think they can’t go outside their dwellings or get within 6 feet of another Hooman.

4 – I only keep my windows closed when it’s snowing or there’s a heavy rain.

Here endeth today’s lesson.

Underwood died protecting a US federal building and courthouse named in honor of a Socialist, Congressman Ronald V. Dellums. Although he ran as a Democrat and caucused as a Democrat in Congress, Dellums described himself as a socialist. In the 1970s, Dellums was a member of the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DSOC), an offshoot of the Socialist Party of America. He later became vice-chair of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

President Trump will be visiting Guilford Maine today.
It is a typical rural Maine Mill town populated by very
nice families with well kept older homes.
I have delivered wood to the mill and passed through the town
on hunting and fishing trips. My best friend in college
grew up there and I enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner with
his family. His dad was an interpreter as an officer in WW2.
He stayed behind after the war to help the people recover.

I welcome the president to my beloved state.
I hope he finds the people friendly and enjoys the peace.

So my GF in Boston emails me some photos of past Klan
activity in the state of Maine. She hates Trump.
Anyplace he visits must be Klan country.
I tried to explain that the media is driven
by hate and if she keeps watching it she will be infected with it.
Too late.

Sad but I will be looking elsewhere for female companionship.

Didn’t Burt Shavitz of Burt’s Bees live in Guilford? I saw a documentary about him showing his house, land, and life in rural Maine.

Don’t google her photo.
She went all Obamagasm and used her fortune
to purchase wilderness then donated it to
the Feds (Obama) so she could be appointed

displace people, culture etc.
She sold the compant to her brother, Lucas
who is also despised by hunters etc.
Her products obviously did not work on her.

Send her a video clip of Hillary Clinton calling Robert K. Byrd her friend and mentor. That would be Senator Robert K. Byrd, Democrat West Virginia. The same Robert K. Byrd who was a recruiter for the KKK.

Correct.

Grand Kleagle is something akin to “Zampolit”. They recruit, ensure doctrinal conformity, and ensure the fighting spirit of the Klavern (or higher unit)

Not only was he a Kleagle, he was a founder of the modern Klan in West Virginia.

I watched it last night. Excellent video by a smart and beautiful woman who is fed up with the trope that black male criminals who have the misfortune to die in police custody are martyrs who were wonderful people until they were murdered by LEO’s because they are black. It is a must watch.

The Other Whitey

I’ve noticed a pattern here. Candace Owens says something unpopular. The left screams about it. “Black leaders*” say nasty things about her. She gets all kinds of hate. Then she turns out to be right!

The thing about Candace Owens (besides the fact that she’s smokin’ hot) is that she’s sharp as a tack. She does her research before she speaks. Unlike her opponents, she’s not in the habit of talking out of her ass. The result is that she is met with personal attacks because the evidence is in her favor. This is no different.

* I love Jericho Green’s take on that term: “Those assholes are our leaders? According to fucking who, besides themselves and the media? I sure as hell didn’t vote for them!”

MSG Eric

I’d definitely be happy to have some pillow time with her.

Far too often the polarization expects that certain groups of people “think” a specific way.

It also reminds me of the South Park episode where Randy “apologizes” to Jesse Jackson.

Stan tells Token “well it’s okay because my dad apologized to Jesse Jackson.”

“Jesse Jackson is NOT the Emperor of black people!” “He told my dad he was…”

I think this is an accurate assessment, he’s certainly no hero…and for a time in his life it’s clear he was a shit bag… He served his time and tried to get his shit together by moving somewhere new and starting over. I’ve offered ex-cons work before and had it uncomfortable wrong, and had it work out amazingly well. One of my best colleagues in my new position is a young man who overcame addictions and a multitude of petty criminal acts to become a top notch professional here and a department co-manager. I don’t know Mr. Floyd’s history, not really and really don’t know his present life after being released from prison and moving north. Nor do I need to in truth. We all saw the video and know what happened there. I’ll never forget this man’s name now though, and I will most likely not forget Chauvin’s look of absolute calm while he kneels hand in pocket slowly choking a man to death as if he was stepping on an insect in his kitchen…when I first heard about it I expected to see a video of a man violently struggling and dying quickly due to something unforeseen…not an eight minute murder sequence worthy of a Tarantino film. Placing those two men aside though, Chauvin and Floyd it’s the other three men who most bother my thought process…just doing absolutely nothing to prevent what any idiot could see would be the outcome… I am reminded of the quote, “All that evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing”. I have no idea if those other three are good men or not, based on their inaction I wonder if they are also bad men or simply cowards…but the term good man doesn’t come to mind. In the end thebesig I agree with your comment that there was no justification for how he was handled. As most of you know I’m not a believer or particularly soulful but I have read the bible and other books somewhat extensively when I was looking for some particular meaning to this… Read more »

Pardon me, your epidermis is showing, sir

I couldn’t help but note your shade of melanin

I tip my hat to the colorful arrangement

Cause I see the beauty in the tones of our skin

We’ve gotta come together

And thank the Maker of us all

We’re colored people, and we live in a tainted place

We’re colored people, and they call us the human race

We’ve got a history so full of mistakes

And we are colored people who depend on a Holy Grace

A piece of canvas is only the beginning for

It takes on character with every loving stroke

This thing of beauty is the passion of an Artist’s heart

By God’s design, we are a skin kaleidoscope

We’ve gotta come together,

Aren’t we all human after all?

Ignorance has wronged some races

And vengeance is the Lord’s

If we aspire to share this space

Repentance is the cure

Well, just a day in the shoes of a color blind man

Should make it easy for you to see

That these diverse tones do more than cover our bones

As a part of our anatomy

Not condoning bad cops at all, we have bad people in all walks of life and professions. But the riots, looting, and violence is not proving that black people deserve more respect until they can stop acting like animals. How many inner city black shootings happen between blacks in major cities. We seem to ignore all of that behavior and its why black communities like those have a high police presence. Don’t want to deal with police, stop committing crimes. Act like responsible law abiding citizens and you have less bad reactions from cops. George Floyd was no saint, hero, or martyr. He was a man wrongly treated by police officers and justice is in place to deal with that. Ms. Owens deserves to be heard, she at least is making some honest and uncomfortable truths be known about what is wrong with the black community. Yes, there are issues not just with police, but elsewhere within black communities. Unless this is also addressed nothing with change. Especially if honest people like Candace Owens is ignored and casts as being racist. It’s not racist to tell a true picture of the problems. The black community seems reluctant to admit they have some serious internal issues they continue to blame outside influences for. Really too bad, because problems are not solved unless there is a admission that problems exist.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

That you tie the peaceful people in with the criminals is the same mistake people make when they tie in the decent hard working cops with the shitbags…

If we can separate cops into good and bad why is it so hard to consider that along with those peacefully voicing their concerns to their government there some shit bags who instead decided to try and profit from the distraction, knowing the police would be tied up by the peaceful folks?

If Chauvin doesn’t represent all cops, looters shouldn’t represent all protesters.
