Phillip Dale Monkress; phony SEAL in FL
The discussion on Monkress has moved here.
Editor’s Note: Monkress needed a bump up to the top. His lawyer is sending threatening letters to our friends and I guess she decided after a phone call with me, that her threats would only be a day’s welcomed distraction. Someone is walking the halls of Congress with Monkress’ DD214 today asking questions. I’ve added some more evidence that Monkress called himself a Navy SEAL, which seems to be their defense these days, that he never said he was a SEAL. So Lori Benton of Ford & Harrison, Attorneys at Law, you know our number.
Someone sent us some information on Phillip Dale Monkress who was outed late last year by POW Network as a phony SEAL, but he’s still rockin’ the lie, so it’s time to call out the pitchfork brigade. Here’s picture of him in his motorcycle club, the US Military Veterans’ Motorcycle Club;
ADDED: It seems the lawyers are trying to make the point that Monkress never called himself a SEAL, but here’s a page from the Brevard Business News which reprints a slide presentation in their publication;
Category: Phony soldiers
@302 you nailed it!
schemer always schemes!
2/17 Air Cav: true. But I believe Federal contracting criteria require meeting specific criteria to receive 8a consideration for either. In particular, I believe “Native American Owned Business” 8a preference requires certified tribal membership on the part of 50+% of the firm’s ownership, and that the “Veteran-Owned Business” preference requires the veteran ownership to have a service-connected disability from the VA. I could be in error regarding either/both of those, but I don’t think I am.
If his company has ever gotten 8a/disadvantaged preference in Federal contracting based on his ownership and he doesn’t qualify for whichever was claimed, well . . . .
In case you missed it, I posted two more instances of Monkress calling himself a SEAL, because that seems to be their latest defense – that he never said he was a SEAL.
@304 Hondo
APL was 8a under the prior owner, Sam MaGee, but never under Monkress’s ownership. He has had APL since 2009. You can only claim 8a for 8 years then you graduate out of it.
@304. Because of where my comment fell, it seemed to be responding to the Native American claim, evidently. It was actually just a stray comment on my part, prompted by cmts 295 and 298.
2/17 Air Cav: I had no issue with what you said above. In fact, I agree. I’d say it’s likely if not a virtual certainty that Monkress has been playing those types of semantic games for years.
I was just pointing out the fact that it’s also possible Monkress might have deliberately or unwittingly stepped “over the line” regarding one or both of those somewhere along the line. If I were in charge of a formal investigation or engaged in legal discovery related to this matter, I’d certainly check into both. It should be easy enough to confirm or refute either through FOIA requests concerning past contract actions by APL.
Even if the statute of limitations has expired, that would seem relevant in terms of establishing a pattern of deceit – and thus whether or not Monkress’ claim that “he never said he was a SEAL” are credible.
That picture you just posted from the Brevard paper says that Bole, the COO, is US Navy Captain (Ret) (50 years)… does it really say 50 years? WTF?
Disregard my 309. I found a clearer picture of that and see it says 30, not 50. Out.
Now that Monkress has admitted to not being a SEAL, and there is evidence that his own company-provided literature states that he was on SEAL Team 4, his “lawsuit” is pretty much mucked up vis-a-vis bloggers call him a phony SEAL & he is a phony SEAL.
I imagine once the lawyers realize they are making things worse, they will switch tactics and try to threaten some sort of baseless civil action relating to personal attempts at impeding his ability to gain, maintain, or compete for business contracts.
Whoopsie, and let’s not forget that PO1 crow he’s wearing, which he was certainly not when he was in.
Even his FOIA says he got out as a DS2, and couldn’t have made that before the March 1991 exam. Now that means, assuming he did in fact make it on that exam cycle, he couldn’t even be eligible to test for DS1 until March 1994 exam, but he was a civilian a year and a half plus before that.
Care to comment on that, Monkress? Or you gonna claim I’m defaming you? C’mon, Phil–come at me, bro! I’m right here!!! Contact Jonn and have him send along your claim!
You know I know you’re full of shit, dontcha son?
@311 JAGC
It is difficult to get new business when both your facility & personal TS is revoked…..
Ultimately Monkress is responsible and deserving of every humiliating comment or action that is taken toward him. I find this prophetic, the title of the SBVC conference he was the key note speaker for in Sept 2011 was titled “You Earned It”, yes Monkress, YOU EARNED IT!
Well someone just tossed gasoline on that fire didn’t they… Once it has been said/posted on the internet it is kind of hard to make it go away.
@311. Yes, every new or renewed attempt to nuance a phrase or to misdirect attention invites rebuttal, thereby defeating the goal of making this disappear. It’s akin to long-forgotten postings here that some knuckleehead resurrects and thereby reminds some of us of the dusty topic and introduces it as new for other readers.
Memo to Ms. Lori Benton…Jonn has my cell phone number. I’d be more than happy to explain the Navy exam system and how it works, not to mention how one becomes a SEAL. Although I was never a SEAL or a DS, I’ve got first-hand experience with both groups of folks in my time in.
And I’ll also be happy to scan a copy of my DD-214 and give any necessary information for you to submit an FOIA on me to establish my bona-fides.
You game?

The common law foundation of any libel/slander/defamation suit is that the allegations or statements are FALSE? Correct?
@314
Once it has been said/posted on the internet it is kind of hard to make it go away.
As I tell my GF’s teenaged daughters, “Be careful of what you post. The internet is forever.”
Fortunately, they at least get it.
“T-minus and counting…..”
Funny, I haven’t had any subpoenas show up in my email yet today.
Wondering why…
Me either or in my snail mail
@314 – Google “Streisand Effect”. Boy ol’ Phil is just totally causing this…
Hmmm…
Keep posting the truth and we’ll sue.
Challenge accepted.
Your move, Princess.
Flush repeat Flush repeat all better
A not-so-tough turd, indeed.
@324 Nik…
If i paid for this lawyers schooling- i’d ask for a refund: defintly did not stick.
Higher education (Scoffs) Makes me hate it even more.
cock smuggling dick bandits like that lawyer- deviod of common sense, wasting people’s time and court space with these lame and wasteful cases.
I hear that, DD, and i think it’s a pity that lawyers are considered as human beings. It would be nice if we could have them designated as a “Nuisance Species”, allowing us to cull the herd!
*DISCLAIMER* The previous statement was made purely in jest, and is not meant to be taken seriously in ANY way, shape, or form. *BUUUUUURRRP!* Time for another beer!
BTW … up here in the north schools count when it comes to practicing law. And so do looks … I would not hire her to represent me in traffic court!
Wow, another explosion of posts….so now Mr. Monkress is claiming he was never a SEAL in spite of wearing the trident and in spite of the articles and information that had been on his website….everyone here has been saying he was not a seal….so what part of this is actionable?
Not sure how I missed this first time around…but the post count grows…
If the turd says he was doing it to honor SEALs someone point him to the http://navysealsfund.org/ I personally have 3 of those GORGEOUS pins and wear them proudly (http://navysealsfund.org/images/navySealsPin_300x240.jpg) because its not the “budweiser” but it contains the elements and says “For our SEALs we stand united” want to honor them? use the CORRECT damn pin, don’t go stealing pins and claiming “I wanted to honor them”
Turd …
#329: Yikes, I just saw Lori Benton’s photo! I was kinda hoping she’s related to Barbi Benton and has her looks…she DOES NOT 🙁
No, she does not.
May 9, 2013 – Thursday Dan McLaughlin Deputy Chief of Staff Communications BILL NELSON, Florida United States Senate Washington, D.C. 20510 (202) 224-1679; (202) 309-1985 Dan_McLaughlin@BillNelson.Senate.gov Dear Mr McLaughlin, Thank you for the press release concerning Senator Nelson’s participation in the “asking for an expedited investigation into the strangely similar circumstances surrounding the jailing of two older American tourists on ammunitions charges at a Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) airport a little over a week ago.” Now, would you be so kind as to request that Senator Nelson ask for an expedited investigation into the circumstances surrounding Phillip D. Monkress’ claims of having been a “Navy SEAL Team 4”? Phillip D. Monkress (XXX S. Washington Avenue, Suite XXX, Titusville, FL 32780) is the managing member, as filed with the Florida Secretary of State on April 30, 2012, for All Points Logistics, LLC. Thomas C. Feeney III (XXX W. Central Boulevard, Suite Xx, Orlando, FL 32801) is the registered agent, as filed with the Florida Secretary of State on April 30, 2012, for All Points Logistics, LLC. It is now an established, well know fact that Mr. Monkress’ claims of having been a “Navy SEAL Team 4” are false, and that fact should be of grave concern to those that investigate and maintain the integrity of the “Top Secret Security Clearances” required to participate on some aspects of the awards in the following list: *** All Points Logistics LLC Selected as Major Subcontractor on the Missile Defense Agency’s Ground-Based Midcourse Defense Development and Sustainment Contract Merritt Island, FL, April 03, 2012 -(PR.com)- All Points Logistics, LLC (APL) has been selected as major subcontractor to The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space & Security unit on the Missile Defense Agency’s Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC). *** All Points Logistics Selected as Major Subcontractor on the NASA Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle Contract Merritt Island, FL, November 02, 2012 -(PR.com)-Lockheed Martin has selected All Points Logistics LLC (APL) as a major subcontractor on the NASA Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV) contract. I think it’s generous at the very least of Mr. Roth to share his correspondence with TAH.
Now I’m going to find a quiet corner for myself and spend some time wondering WTFIGOH with the carelessness that allows these contractors to get away with what Monkress has perpetrated.
@333, Jonn: DAMMIT, MAN!! How ’bout a “SPEW ALERT” next time? I wasted good beer when it blew out my nostrils, and there went another keyboard!!
Monkress does not return calls.
I actually like this research albeit I have to bathe more frequently.
@333.
Kind of looks like that USMC (my apologies, USMC) man-thing.
You all have way too much time on your hands…amazing. Don’t you have something better to do with your lives?? Get a job, volunteer to help others, do something positive with your time. Very, very sad.
@HONDO,,,,
Can we get an IP report on 339? I thought I got a wiff of MONK….
@339 I believe everyone here is not only with a job but is effective enough to actually have free time, something that obviously you are not able, does it take you 15 minutes to tie your shoes? aaaawwweeeee is little Hawk Eye jealous of people that are effective on their job? aawwweeee here have a cookie, now go away let the big boys talk on this blog .. go go to the kiddie section bye bye …
These guys like @339 and their grade-school level psychological “tactics” make me laugh. Like, really? You expect to move anyone here with your sad little attempts? I feel bad for you, almost.
On the other hand, there are those among us here who have served well and honorably and for one reason or another are now retired or disabled to the point of being unable to “work” any more than the 30 or 40 or 50 years that we already have. Somehow we manage to still pay taxes and contribute to society in a plethora of ways, including holding the dishonorable to account.
Probably a pretty good bet (if anyone happens to do that sort of thing) that most of us here have already contributed more to the betterment of mankind than whoever is writing on behalf of the lying fraud about which this topic is titled.
Besides all that, it is just not very smart to challenge people you do not know to a duel of minds or credentials or worth as human beings. Of course, if your intent was to appear immature, misdirected, and utterly silly, then you did succeed. Bravo! You do indeed appear to be an idiot, Hawk Eye!

See the movie. Linda Hamilton at her hottest.
In other words, even if it’s true, and that’s a big if, attempting to invoke cowardice isn’t likely to be successful.
Try again, Pumpkin.
@344.
In the proceedings (Stolen Valor 2012 [CBOR], the court did acknowledge a legitimate government objective in honoring valor by our military men and women:
“It is the right and proper that Congress, over a century ago, established an award(s) so the nation can hold in its highest respect and esteem those who, in the course of carrying out the ‘supreme and noble duty of contributing to the defense of the rights and honor of the nation’, have acted with extraordinary honor. And it should be uncontested that this is a legitimate Government objective, indeed a most valued national aspiration and purpose”,
While many in this country disagreed, it could be concluded that the court made a strategic decision in allowing for a modification of this law in that although the court upheld an individual’s right to free speech concerning fraudulent impersonations of Veterans, they still allowed the law to “have teeth” in the face of Congressional and public disapproval.
“The Court does describe, however, instances in which a false claim of military honors would extend beyond the protections of the First Amendment. Where false claims are made to affect a fraud or secure moneys or other valuable consideration, say offers of employment, it is well established that the Government may restrict speech without affronting the First Amendment”.
Better yet: Justice Kennedy cited and acknowledged the friend-of-the-court brief.
Wow.
….“The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press” and 23 other news media organizations for their listed examples of how public exposure can be enough to kill a lie and discredit its source, especially in the sphere of made-up military heroism.

Go fuck yourself, moron.
Turd.
See Ex-PH2. Getting better.
@344/339
There will come a day
GT, thanks. I needed that.
I’m glad I’m not the only person who is deeply concerned that this creature from the Black Lagoon has lied his way into securing government contracts (= megabucks) that are specifically linked to what SHOULD be secure and protected sections of national defense.
How can anyone possibly trust people who allow such utter carelessness?
“Hawk Eye” appears to be commenting from a town in Florida – from the same IP address as “Father Watching You”. Given that this seems to be a residential location and both comments were after 9PM, I’d guess they’re the same individual.
For what it’s worth: “RU Sure” is commenting from the same IP as our sock-puppet-loving MD troll. Given that all comments from that source are coming from what appears to be a residential location and are occurring relatively late in the evening/night, I’d guess all 4 of the personae using that location (“RU Sure” “MoralIPVoice”, “DissedinFL”, and “Atlantc Beabch FL”) are the same individual.
Geographic separation says the two groups are probably two different individuals, though.
Hondo@348, a whole drawer of sock puppets.They can put on a show. Does this warrant a Muppets reference, or for our older members, Kukla, Fran & Ollie?
Hey, Hack – I think I found a group photo of the “gang of four” above:
And damn, I think this might be the other two!
