Neither of the DD215s mention two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star or a Combat Action Ribbon.

Losing an appeal doesn’t mean that the losing party is lying, it merely means that the judge based on the evidence presented believed one party over the other. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that appeals courts RARELY overturn lower court decisions and it is also common knowledge that courts do not look favorably toward “Pro Se” litigants.

None of them were blood and guts stories. The only one he told that involved enemy contact was when he was on the flight line and it was funny because he described it like it was an old western movie like he was told to dance while his feet were getting shot at. We found it funny when I told him about the same type of experience I had outside Nobi yunus mosque (sp?) In Mosul. He was proud of his service and didn’t have to “self produce” any of his awards. We knew his passing was coming since October when he was diagnosed with terminal throat cancer and given months to live so that took a lot of sting out of it. We all had a chance to say goodbye. I just finished reading the latest decision of Frank’s court case. I feel asleep 4 times but I read it all.
A few times it’s obvious that they really wanted to just throw a book at him, not “the” book, just any big heavy book. He is so freaking lucky he was not arrested for the fake documents. It seems like someone would grab him and shake the shit outta him while screaming “you submitted fake documents to a federal court and were not arrested, shut up crawl under a rock and pray they don’t decide your to big a pain in the ass to remain free!”

By Cols or below? Um, no – especially not back in the 1960s. They certainly were not cheap; the devices sold by Autopen in the 1950s (the Model 50, see link above) cost around $1000 then. Cols and below simply didn’t get to spend that kind of $$$ to avoid signing their name a few hundred times.
Oh, and a competent handwriting analyst can usually tell that a signature was made using an autopen vice being signed by hand – if they’re examining an original vice a photocopy or other reproduction of the signature. And if they’re not examining an original signature, no reputable handwriting analyst will offer an opinion regarding the validity of that signature. It’s simply too easy to fake photocopies/photographs/other reproductions of a signature.
I think we could start a whole other blog post about all the mistakes and inconsistencies in Frank’s “legal procedures” and in his own words. But we might run out of bandwidth before we were through.
