Mark Hans Smith; Sockpuppet phony

Mark Hans Smith

This one is from our friends at Guardian of Valor and it’s about Mark Hans Smith, by his own accounts he’s one of the top snipers in the US military. What? You don’t believe it? Well, check out this barely literate story he sockpuppet-wrote about himself.

Mark Hans Smith sockpuppetry

I guess he failed punctuation in grade school. But, GoV busted him getting free training for his dog, which he also decorated with stolen valor finery. Don’t blame the pup. But when GoV advised the dog trainers to challenge Smith for his DD214, Smith dissipated into thin air. Or fat air, whichever is more appropriate.

According to his 2-1, he served almost a year as an infantryman, then he went to be a supply sergeant/unit armorer.

Here, compare the FOIA to the picture at the top of this post;

Actually, I’m surprised that he’s not who he says he is. He was really good at pinning all of those badges on his jacket. Who wouldn’t believe him? Oh, yeah, GoV has pictures of his truck, too. Dude doesn’t know when to stop. Anyway, they say he’s out shopping for more free shit to steal from real combat veterans up there in Washington state. So be on the lookout.

@100 – Hondo, thanks for straightening me out. I never was good with numbers. Regardless, it appears that there going to be very few CIB Hat Tricks out there. I’m actually surprised that folks can even buy them…. but what do I know. I only wore the few things I was authorized.

Hondo

nbcguy54: de nada. The official explanation at the HRC site isn’t all that clear. It defines the various combat operations within the Vietnam CIB period, but doesn’t do a good job of making the point that it’s all a single eligibility period. You have to catch one sentence near the end of the description and then realize it’s telling you that all the above operations are within a single defined eligibility period. If you miss that one sentence, it’s easy to get the impression that there are multiple CIB eligibility periods between Korea and GWOT.

The only thing multiple about “Ass-Smith” here is the amount of simultaneous hand jobs he can execute.

Turd.

I know one 2 star CIB guy – WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. You can run across the occasional 1 star CIB guy, but they are mostly senior enlisted or officers at this point. A 1SG with one star would get a few questions. Two stars is just all out stupid. Oh, and I can’t recall ever seeing a CIB and a rigger badge on the same uniform. Technically, it could happen, but it would be rare enough again to make someone ask questions.

Any idea if there are any law enforcement types looking to talk to him yet?

I’ve seen the Rigger COB combo, when I came off AD in to the NG,in ’02, one of the guys in my squad had been a rigger then re classed to 11 series and we deployed to OIF the next year and received the CIB. That was B co, 3/124 INF.

@104.

I had an old 1SG years ago when I was a young EM w/ a star. Grenada and OEF/OIF.

Hated the guy; a true dick.

But he taught me discipline, I will give him that.

Fixed my ass.

Bobo

Off the top of my head, the 1 star CIB guys who I know are GOs, COLs, and SGMs or MSGs. Almost all were DS and OIF/OEF. A few were OJC and OIF/OEF. If you figure that a guy was a PVT or 2LT in 1991 and has 23 years of service at this point, he’s probably not a 1SG.

I think my CG (BG Salve Matheson) in the 1/101 (ABN)(SEP)in VN in ’68 had 2 CIB stars but I never saw him in Class A’s since we were ass deep in dust in Song Fucking Be VN during Tet. A great man and leader. Very humble. OBTW: he was a “Band of Brothers”. Never talked about it, and I had chow in his presence many, many, times. http://www.arlingtoncemetery.net/shmatheson.htm

Excuse me while I geeze…the 3/82nd (ABN)(SEP) came into VN during Tet and I was moved there to be the BDE Signal Officer. I flew everyday with another WW 2 player, beloved leader, nice guy: BG Alexander Bolling (link http://yorkovich.net/gbc/?page_id=1103). And, no. Even though I was on a helo everyday for hours I refused being put in for Air Medals since I was just cargo. I was trained in the 82nd as a 2LT by Sergent Major Jimmerson, who was WW2, Korea, you name it. Geeze/Old Soldier BS off. I was blessed with being taught by the best. Thanks for indulging me. Out.

@106.

Yeah, he was a 1SG when I had him.

17 yo PVT in Grenada, unsure about DS, but I had him in 01 timeframe. I left about that time.

He did his “Diamond” time, picked up SGM and supposedly retired after three more.

Could not stand the guy but he is WELL RESPECTED in the community. I will leave it at that.

Dude actually had a picture of his first “kill” blown up into a photo.

No shit.

Had to look at it when he smoked me.

Green Thumb

Late 01, early 02 timeframe.
