What we know:
According to investigators, preliminary information indicates the victim was brandishing a knife during an altercation and reportedly attacked a man who was armed. That man then shot the victim, possibly in self-defense.

Pittsburgh Police Investigate Carjacking and Shooting in Friendship

Just after 11:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 5100 block of Friendship Avenue for a two-round ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers were met by an adult male who stated he was the victim of a carjacking. During the encounter, the victim fired two rounds toward the actor, who then fled the scene in the victim’s stolen vehicle.

Pittsburgh Police were not involved in the pursuit of the stolen vehicle. However, they issued a BOLO describing the vehicle as it was seen heading eastbound, out of the city.

A short time later, Pitcairn Police observed a vehicle driving erratically that matched the description of the stolen car. Pitcairn Police conducted a traffic stop in the 4400 block of Broadway Boulevard and noted the adult male driver had sustained two gunshot wounds, one to the arm and one to the shoulder.

He was then transported to an area hospital by an outside EMS agency in stable condition.

Nice shooting! Thanks, Gun Bunny.

After a shooting spree, they always want to take the guns away from the people who didn’t do it.

Wrong victim, wrong house, wrong car.
Gee, the bad guys can’t get a break these days, what with armed citizens defending themselves and their property.
Maybe it’s time for these perps to find another safer line of work. Naaahhhh, never happen.

A person could make a good living opening up a school to teach “Victim Selection Skills”…and what NOT to take to a gunfight. We already have the study guide on the latter with the T2NB2AGF 3 ring binder.

“…from my cold stiff fingers…”

$36.00 then….$30K now. Pretty good ROI if you ask me. Too bad G Grand Pa wasn’t an ossifer back then.

Many years ago at a party ago while on leave an inherited Officer’s Model (I think) was described to me by my old pediatrician, who resided near to where my parents lived at the time. Presentation case, nice wood cartridges for show, engraving – sounded lovely but I was flying out early in the AM and was unable to visit and see it. By the time I got back to town he had passed on…I always wonder about that gun.

They have a school, where they pass on their victim selection skills from one group of deviant spawn to the next. It’s called prison. And the teachers are not good at passing on their knowledge or they wouldn’t be in prison. Which is good for armed citizens to make corrections to the students. Graduations are found in the obits.

Wait until he gets the bill from the “outside” EMS agency.
