Man shot during fight with security guard at Dorchester Burger King, police say

By Alvin Buyinza
A man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot during a fight between him and a private security guard at a Burger King in Dorchester Saturday night, the Boston Police Department said.

The security guard said a 32-year-old man was staring at him and threatening to take his gun at the Burger King located at 100 Washington St. around 9:22 p.m. When the security guard asked him to leave, the man refused, police said.

The two started to argue, which led to a fight outside the Burger King restaurant, police said.

The man beat the 30-year-old security guard on his head several times, police said. During the fight, the security guard was hurt on his head, eye and mouth.

“Fearing for his safety and potential disarmament, the guard drew his firearm,” police said. The security guard shot a single round, which hit the man.

The man then left the fast food restaurant and went on an MBTA bus, police said. He was later found and arrested at Washington Street and Harvard Avenue. The man was then taken to Boston Medical Center.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – A Goldsboro homeowner shot a man who police said attempted to break into a home on Sunday evening.

According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers responded at around 5:48 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert on the 600 block of W. Oak Street. While investigating the alert, police said a man arrived at the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds.

“During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the subject at UNC Health Wayne was shot during an incident in the 600 Block of West Oak Street,” Goldsboro police said in a news release on Monday.

Investigators determined the shooting victim was suspected of breaking and entering to terrorize at a home at that address, resulting in a resident shooting him in self-defense, police said.

The suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Deshaun Jamarion James, was subsequently transported to another hospital for treatment. As of Monday morning, he’s listed to be in critical condition, according to Goldsboro police.

Nobody living inside the home was harmed during the incident. Police said at least one of the victims and the suspect were “acquaintances.”

Claw! Yer up. Probably a low score, but a fun sounding name.
Deshaun Jamarion James.
Tell me your skin melanin content, without telling me your skin melanin content.

I do believe we have a trifecta of cases here of “…the usual suspects…doing the usual things…” And I’ll betcha betcha that in the NC case there’s a Ms Thang involved…somehow. Lessons are to be learned, however. Do NOT take “fisticuffs, feeticuffs, or threats to a gunfight”…it will NOT end well for you. And just because you’re at a Burger King, does NOT mean you can have it your way. What kinda hood are you in where a burger joint requires a Security Guard? Sheesh!

There should not be any laws to restrict our liberties to go about our lives in peace. The Constitution was not to restrict what the Citizen can do…It is to restrict what the grubermint can do to the citizen.

Cool factor not withstanding…the cheapness of low price is gone long before the bitterness of poor quality sets in. Ya get what ya pay for.

Some more escort duty today, Girls and Boys. Y’all try to play nice til I get back. Unless, of course…the spapos shows up again. If he does? Weapons free…you may fire when ready, Ridley.

I was in Boston last Friday & Saturday nite. Stopped at a McDonalds for some chow to take to the hotel. A Boston Police vehicle was parked nearby observing the drive up windows with the disco lights blazing. It or one like it was there thru out our entire stay at the hotel.

Sounds like security guard needs more range time.. and better threat recognition skills. (getting into a physical confrontation with someone that has already stated they ant to take your firearm is NEVER a good idea)

KelTec is that ugly kid who isn’t going to charm any ladies, but is pure willing destruction in a fight. So, you keep him near to hand when out and about.

That little P-32 is about the best low-cost hideout gun I have ever found. They just work.

The multi-mag shotguns, however, are jam prone, especially if one fails to fully flip the mag selector.
