OMFG, find me this video

| November 5, 2009

CNN, Larry King (barely a)live. Shoshanna Johnson (former POW), Dr Phil, and some JAG officer that I would pronounce my gayness for if I knew who he was.

Paraphrasing here, but the JAG said: As I sit here listening to all this psycho-babble crap, with you guys talking about PTSD nonstop, how come not once have you guys hit on this guys last name being “Hasan” and discuss Islamofacism.

Phil and Shoshanna lose their minds, accuse him of racism, general mayhem, etc.

Best TV moment I ever witnessed.

I have it on DVR, but not sure how to actually save it.

Post the YouTube link when it comes up. I’d love to see that.

OldTrooper

Well, it’s standard fare for the creampuffs t start crying “racist!!” as soon as anyone tries to burst their little bubble of delusion and try to brring them back to reality.

Little known feeder across the bottom of the screen on FOX is that the FBI has been watching some disturbing things this assmunch said in the past couple of months on the internet.

Things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Larry King needs to just STFU.

A Heros Friend

Well color me politically correct…these liberals will sell us all out for any reason or NO reason…a**holes…

The Sniper

It’s okay to malign vets with PTSD… god forbid we malign a fucking haji. Yeah, I said it, a HAJI.

OldTrooper

Sniper!!! You racist bastard!!!!

Ok, not so much, but I thought I would beat the creampuffs to the draw.

A Heros Friend

I am like,you know,like, SO offended ,you white boy,you…like, you know what I mean,like…

TSO:

Send me an email w/ phone number and I’ll tell you how to get the video off the TIVO. COB6 is a reference…

If what is said about the FBI being aware of this guy is true, then this marks the 2nd time they have DROPPED THE BLANKIN’ BALL on wanna be jihadi’s making threats who have gone on to kill our soldiers. I’m sure there are dedicated FBI agents out there but that org.’s “relationship” with CAIR is at the root of these murders.

Laura

OMG! Please, please, please send the footage to YouTube! I nearly choked on my dinner while watching Dr Phil, the POW, and the Army JAG guy go at it. Unbelieveable!

Old Tanker

Now, now Sniper and Old Trooper, you don’t want iSucked to come back and dazzle you with his brilliance now do you????

I’ll be honest, my first reaction was terrorism, especially when the early reports stated that there were two other suspects in custody. After those two guys got released and we got real information about Hasan’s history, which was around 6:30 when my class started this evening, there was no reason to believe that was a plausible explanation.

To show up after 9:00 pm on Larry King Live and cry that it could have been terrorism because his last name is Hasan is just plain ignorant. Even if the JAG officer is not a racist, he’s a fucking moron. Someone presumably trained in law should understand that you’re supposed to follow evidence, not make wild inferences based off a surname. I hope this assclown never gets a job as a prosecutor, as his conviction rate would be disgusting.

CRaissi

That last Anonymous post was from me. I forgot that I deleted all my cookies the other day.

ThisIsDefinitelyHell

Hasan’s own ORB that you posted lists him as a non-hispanic white man with no religious preference. Doesn’t that kinda negate the idea that this guy is an Islamo-fascist? Oh fuck, my bad you guys aren’t into rational thought on this blog are you?

Sporkmaster

ERBs/ORBs can have many errors. my ERB still had me listed as single for a year and a half after I got married.

USMC Chris

i saw that live as well.

“I’m a PEE OH DOUBLE YOU!!!” in your thickest, african-american lady attitude you can muster up. don’t forget the side to side neck action.

Nixon

I’m still waiting for more info before I start dropping the “Haji” bomb, but it certainly is worth examining what kind of ties he had.

Sporkmaster

Agreed, this is still a very changing story.

Nixon

I mean if this was a Timothy McVeigh type nut, the left (and media) would be all over it. But this seems to be of the Islamic variety, so they will be more hesitant. I just hate the double standard. But as Chris Rock said, “Aren’t People Just Crazy, anymore”. There is way too much of these mass shootings in America. It’s all very sad.

Old Tanker

To show up after 9:00 pm on Larry King Live and cry that it could have been terrorism because his last name is Hasan is just plain ignorant.

You said so yourself….it COULD have been terrorism. While everybody else was pushing the vet with PTSD meme, he pointed out it COULD have been something else…..and your first thought was terrorism as well….does that make you ignorant? or a realist?

Nucsnipe

USMC Chris: Actually she is a former POW unless she thinks she is still being held captive. And does she think having been a POW gives her moral authority? (Haven’t seen the vid so I’m speculating blind here.)

doubleplusundead

Hasan’s own ORB that you posted lists him as a non-hispanic white man with no religious preference. Doesn’t that kinda negate the idea that this guy is an Islamo-fascist? Oh fuck, my bad you guys aren’t into rational thought on this blog are you?

You do realize that Middle Eastern peoples are usually considered Caucasian on most government forms, right? I’m asking because I’m just kind of curious to know if you’re retarded or malicious.

Nucsnipe

Thisisdefinitelyhell: If you had been paying attention to news reports, you would have seen the interviews with his cousin and Iman saying he was a devout Muslim. (Say weren’t you posting on other threads here as Iservicepigpenis?)

OldTrooper

CR: He didn’t cry terrorism. He simply was putting out another argument other than PTSD. That the FBI has been watching this dirtbag for a few months because of “disturbing” internet chatter he created means that it doesn’t necessarrily rule out anything. The gist i the dumbasses on LKL were target fixated on PTSD without concern for other motives.

The ignorance wasn’t by the JAG lawyer, but by the other guests. As a lawyer, don’t you also look at other possibilities? Let’s save the assclown remarks for those that are jumping on the PTSD bandwagon in reference to someone who hasn’t ever deployed.

The Sniper

I’m simply astounded at the sheer number of people that coming screaming to the defense of the poor, misunderstood, and unfairly maligned Islamofacists (one day body count record:around 3,000, most recent one day body count:12) but they have no problem throwing vets on the fire despite a mind boggling amount of evidence that runs counter to that theory.

Implying Joe is shell shocked and capping his brothers? Cool.
Implying that a member of the religion of peace (you know, the same organization that brought you the USS Cole, the Khobar Towers, the Twin Towers, the Embassy bombings, beheadings, etc) had anything to do with this? Racist.

Classic douchebaggery.

From those radical left-wingers at the Military Times and Fox News:

Hasan’s cousin told Fox News the major was harassed by military colleagues because of his “Middle Eastern ethnicity.

“He was dealing with some harassment from his military colleagues,” Nader Hasan told Fox News. “I don’t think he’s ever been disenchanted with the military,” he said. “It was the harassment.”

“He hired a military attorney to try to have the issue resolved, pay back the government, to get out of the military. He was at the end of trying everything,” Hasan said.

Islamo-facism if I ever saw it.

Army Sergeant

The point she was making was in response to the JAG guy being an ignorant asshole. He was being snarky, like “I’ve been to Iraq. Have YOU been to Iraq?” And she pointed out, “Yes, I’ve been to Iraq, I was a POW and shot.” It was essentially a “Don’t try to dickswing here, boyo, I have this one.”

Cold Warrior

How exactly does a guy that has never deployed develop PTSD? Really waiting to hear the circumlocutions on THAT one.

This mutt should never have gotten in the service. But the services are being run like unions now, so this is what happens.

ThisIsDefinitelyHell

You know judging from the comments on this posting, I think CRaissi is the only one here with a full set of teeth. Look out Craissi, they don’t like that common sense shit around here!

Spade

No offense to Shoshanna Johnson’s service, but when does getting shot and captured make you a valuable source of information on anything other than being shot and captured? I don’t really see how her getting shot and captured translates into an expert on the possible mindset of this guy, or his motives. Unless he had been shot and captured.

It’s like a military form of PhD syndrome (I have a specialized degree, thus making me an expert in all subjects). People need to learn to stay in their damn lanes.

grover

ThisIsDefinitelyHell

I don’t have a full set of teeth (well real ones anyway). But Ive actually been out in the world and done more then sit in front of a computer or play xbox in my moms basement.

Spade Agree

miles_282002

So you guys are telling me that not one of you has the clip yet?!?! I will not be able to sleep tonight with anticipation of seeing this tomorrow.

In all seriousness, my prayers are with these families. What a horrific day, too bad the liberal media will blame Bush for this too. Time to start profiling these folks. That’s right, I said it…..

Army Sergeant

Spade: I don’t know why her or the JAG guy were there, didn’t see the full context.

However, I do know that I remember hearing about secondary PTSD that children of people with PTSD and spouses and sometimes mental health providers develop. I don’t know too much about it, I just remember reading about it once in one of my books.

Spade

You’re right about that. My grandfather was a Marine in 1950 and I still wake up in that damn Reservoir some nights.

🙁

YatYas

miles_282002:
Totally agree with your comment. I’ve also been waiting for the first comment by the media or the left that it’s Bush’s fault.

WOTN Editor

Just the facts: http://waronterrornews.typepad.com/home/2009/11/ft-hood-shooting-known-facts.html

Hasan was a Shrink, a Major, and a lifelong Muslim. He had NEVER deployed and ALWAYS opposed the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I don’t care if he was given wedgies and swirlies, he has no justification to murder. If he heard bad words he didn’t like, still no justification for what he did today.

Terrorism? Yes, the case that he committed an act of terrorism today can be made. He killed unarmed individuals for political motivations. That he acted alone does not diminish the case for or against it being terrorism. A lone suicide bomber, even that kills no one but himself, is still a terrorist.

PTSD? No, there is no justification to blame this on PTSD. He never left Walter Reed until he went to Ft Hood.

Here’s a question: Is he a member of the IVAW?
Another thing worth looking into: what Islamic Organizations did he affiliate with?

To those crying racism: religion is not a race. The reputation of Islam has not been marred by those that note his claim of religion enticed his actions. The reputation of Islam has been marred by MAJ Hasan, by Al-Qaeda, by the Taliban, by Hezbollah, and by Hamas.

Random Passerby…Here is thanking you to much for that…preciate it a bunch.

CRaissi

TSO, your summation of his argument is basically thus, “His name is Hasan, why won’t you even talk about the possibility of Islamofascism?”

While I agree with you that there is a perverse predilection for the media to play the story of the mentally fucked, PTSD addled veteran, I cannot agree with the argument of the JAG officer, as summarized by you. “His name is Hasan, why not discuss terrorism?” I’m sorry, but that is perverse, racist logic.

Although I have seen an internet post allegedly made by Hasan regarding suicide attacks, that evidence was not introduced by the JAG officer. If he had said, “Look, this dude may have ties to Muslim extremists,” that would be one thing. Everyone’s reaction would be, “If that was, in fact, him, we should explore that possibility.” But, according to you, that isn’t what he said. He simply stated that the shooter’s surname is Hasan, and that, by itself, would imply the possibility of terrorism.

Yeah, religion isn’t a race. But if you look at a name like Hasan and assume he’s a Muslim, that is racism. Thankfully no one has looked at my last name, which is Persian, by the way, and drawn the same conclusion.

Adirondack Patriot

What would Larry King and the other mindless pundits be saying if the shooter were a Texas Methodist named Billy Bob Dupree who drove a pick-up truck with an NRA sticker?

Yeah. Exactly. But it’s only racist when we look at Muslim motivations.

Jumlerant

Obviously if this Army Officer did not have access to a rifle then this would not have happened.

i suggest we take all firearms, bullets, vehicles and anything with sharp edges away from the military to stop this happening again.

And they should all wear reflective bands so that they can be seen and captured more easily by the Police who also won’t be armed, except for a grimace and a raised eyebrow.

Nixon

““He hired a military attorney to try to have the issue resolved, pay back the government, to get out of the military. He was at the end of trying everything,” Hasan said.”

ThisIsDefinitelyHell,

Does that give him some sort of justification to go on a shooting rampage though? It’s like when Columbine happened and everyone tried “comprehend” and “explain” why they did it instead of labeling them the little monsters that they were. And, yes, I still have a full set of teeth. With zingers like that, you could go on a comedy road show with Janeane Garofalo!

Athena

CRaissi, to say that it’s racist to assume someone is of one ethnicity or religion based on their last name is ridiculous. Does the name Einstein conjure up the image of a Nigerian?

Scorch

Salute to the JAG for bringing that out in the open. Most liberal minds will bend over backwards to sweep such thoughts under the rug but myself, being the redneck I am and watching islamic terrorist acts since the 60’s came to the same conclusion. Had nothing to do with racism or religion but with experience of watching these types of atrocities for over 40 years. It’s a learning curve some just have not experienced enough I guess. Or maybe playing the political game is more important to them than our service personnel lives.
