If 2020 was the year of the “fiery, but mostly peaceful” left wing riots, it’s looking like 2021 might be the year of the aggressive right wing riot. Brietbart (and others) are reporting;
Protestors entered the United States Capitol building as the House and Senate are voting to certify the 2020 presidential election.
Following a “Save America” rally featuring President Trump, protestors marched from the White House Elipse in Washington, D.C. to the U.S. Capitol and breached security barriers. Footage from reporters inside the Capitol now shows that protestors have made their way into the building.
Follow the link above for links to several Twitter feeds from inside the building. It doesn’t appear as if anyone has been assaulted or fire bombed and the building isn’t being looted. Yet. The day is still young. If these “protesters” follow the playbook from the last few years worth of riotous “protest”, being in the Senate Chambers is probably not a good place to be at the moment.
Suddenly new Representative Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) promise to carry a sidearm into her daily life throughout D.C. doesn’t seem so crazy, does it?

There are reports of explosive devices being employed by the rioters. Perhaps she was perceived as throwing in an explosive device? DC has very tough laws against firearms, ammo, etc. A few years back, an investment manager was charged with a felony after police found a shell case in the trunk of his car. I was saddened by what I saw on the news today, and disappointed by what I’ve read on this board this evening. While everyone seems to be very critical of the views of Lars/Commissar, no one seems to have any problem at all with a mob storming the US Capital. The closest anyone here comes to condemning it is to allow that it was a false flag operation, therefore the work of Antifa/BLM, therefore it is bad. Of course, there is absolutely no evidence of that. There is ample evidence of people wearing a collection of Trump/MAGA gear confronting public servants, spraying them with pepper spray, destroying property, and disrupting the US Congress. I’m among those that thought the ‘peaceful’ protests over the summer were morally and legally wrong. I applauded the use of force to protect public property, and I condemned elected leaders that seemed to not only tacitly approve but actively incite violence. I see this as no different. No matter how you feel about the election, the congress was in the process of doing its duty, and this armed mob attempted to thwart that process. I know many of you have a low opinion of politicians- someone made a comment on this thread about tar and feathers. I know it was meant as a joke, but what we saw today was no joke.
