Mayor Rahm Emanuel: Chicago needs more gun control

| September 30, 2015

Emanuel

If you missed the news, 52 more people were shot in Chicago this past weekend, bringing the annual total to more than 2,300. Despite the fact that most of the people in Chicago aren’t allowed to own guns there. Emanuel told reporters that he was going to work towards “cutting off people’s access to guns” according to this video.

I think they’ve already done that pretty effectively – which is why the criminals have free run of the streets with their illegal guns. Maybe they can make it illegal to illegally posses firearms.

He had better find something, because people in Chicago expect their city services. If they dare decide that policing is a city service, he’s toast, just like Lady Jane was, for failure to clear the streets of snow.

Is that 52 people killed in a regular weekend, or a “Chicago weekend” I wonder. Last I heard, Rahm and his boys had declared “a weekend” to end on Saturday night at midnight and to not include Sunday (because Sunday is the start of a new week). He was thus able to make the crime stats look more better… for awhile.

Not killed, just shot….don’t make it any worse than it already is…poor Rahm…he keeps sawing the legs off the table and it’s still too short.

Kevin Farrell

It was probably 52 criminals who were shot. The above poster is correct when he says only the dirtbags have guns.

Not content to confine the shootings to the weekends, since this past Monday morning in Shitcago, 6 have been killed and 8 wounded. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/09/29/chicago-homicides-leave-six-dead-eight-wounded/73020014/
Those may be old figures, that was from yesterday’s USA Today.
I’ve got an idea that Rahmbo can try out. Perhaps they should make it illegal to kill someone, or shoot at someone, or for a felon to possess a firearm?

Ex-PH2

That would be a regular weekend without Rahmbo running it.

With Da Maire, it would be a Chicago weekend, which starts on Friday and runs through to the 4AM news on Monday.

Maybe if the Daleys were back in Da Maire’s orifice, t’ings would be better. Da Cubs might get into the playoffs. Da Bears might win the Superbowl again. Butkus and Ditka might show up at the Cubby Bear Lounge. Michael might return to basketball.

But then, you’d have to stir the Daleys out of their dens on da sout’ side.

I know – the voters could resurrect Anton Cermak or Potter Palmer. That might put things back on track.

The important thing is that we remember that BlackLivesMatter and that the Confederate battle flag was not raised or displayed prior to any of the 2,300 (!) shootings. Next item.

“Cut off people’s access to guns,” says the asshole surrounded by armed guards.

I think they should build a wall around the city.

Maybe call in Snake Plisken. I hear he’s available.

Chicago had a huge brainfart when they put this guy in office.

Maybe they should make drugs illegal too since that also leads to murders.

Being a Libtard means you’re never responsible for failures or bad policy. Its always a lack of power or some external factor that is the reason why your perfect policy of regulation never is successful.

Rahmbutt wants more gun restrictions on Chicagoland’s denizens, ain’t that something like a medieval doctor putting more leeches on a patient that’s nearly dead from blood loss? Just look at what “less civilized” locales have done about gun possession say, Kennessaw, GA where their violent crime rate plummeted after they passed their famous ordinance.

Rahm needs a distraction from the bankrupt pension system & the jacking up of property taxes. Anyway, never let a crisis go to waste.

Does Chicago have a curfew? Of course, they’d have to enforce it, too. If guns are illegal in the city already, a curfew is the next logical step.

UpNorth

The cops in Shitcago are too busy investigating homicides and assorted woundings in the Windy City to enforce curfews.
Honestly, reading some of the articles, it seems that the yutes just drive around, looking for someone walking, standing or sitting around to shoot at.
If the guns are illegal, shouldn’t Rahmbutt make murder illegal? Maybe the yutes just don’t know it’s against the law to kill the guy wearing red when the yute with the gun is wearing blue.

Seems to me that Chicago could take a good look and decide that they have tried the “no guns allowed” option and it didn’t work very well.

I am a science sort of a guy. Maybe they should try the opposite and see it that worked any better.

I think that it couldn’t be much worse.

I think that people in Chicago are so wedded to the idea that restrictive gun laws are the way to go that their opinion prevents them from thinking. If Rhambo suggested a switch, the liberals would shoot him as a traitor and no irony would be detected within the city limits.

Liberal mentality: “Guns are bad, m’kay?”

Realist mentality: Guns are neither bad nor good. The people who misuse them, OTOH, are bad.

Obummer could care less about this country and his boy here could care less about his city.

Similarity….?

Maybe a return to the days of the Old West would have some impact. By that, I mean having a public viewing of caskets in the standing position. Follow next by immediate hanging of killers. I’m claiming dibs on the Polish sausage stand. Murder used to be a real bitch in most environments. Sounds boring to Chicago folks.

Commissioner Wretched

Funny … I was in Chicago all last weekend. Didn’t hear a single gunshot.

More gun control? How’s what you already have working out for you, Rahm?

Ex-PH2

Anyone who wants to keep track of Chicago can go to WGNTV dot com on air live.

Here’s one of Rahmbo’s efforts to make money. There are 40 empty buildings that used to be neighborhood schools. They were within walking distant for most kids. Now these same kids have to walk as much as 3 miles to get to school. Check on it this winter. There is no bus service, you see.

One of those empty buildings has been sold to a real estate developer, to be turned into living space and a theater. Price was $5 million. Five to six million per building still will not fix the city’s problem which is its government.

Gun-related deaths are up 21% for the year. How’s that gun control thingy workin’, Rahmbo?

That’s why I said bring back Anton Cermak or someone from the Good Old Days.
