More Abdo and IVAW

| July 31, 2011

My ninjas tell me that ex-IVAW members are flocking to the FBI with information on Under the Hood Cafe in Killeen – the folks I suspect of hiding the AWOL child pornographer Naser Abdo, the latest Islamic terrorist in the Killeen/Ft Hood, TX area. What would former IVAW members have to tell the FBI? I have no idea, but I’ve given them my permission to give the FBI my contact information if the agents ask. By the way, my contact information is in my Facebook profile, if you’re friends with me.

So here’s some additional reasons that I continue to think that Abdo was being sequestered from law enforcement by Under the Hood. I found this article in the Army Times which quotes James Branum, Abdo’s lawyer and a regular at the Under the Hood cafe;

“I know that he’s safe, but other than that, that’s all I’m at liberty to share with people,” said Abdo’s attorney, James Branum.

Branum said Abdo didn’t want him to make public statements in this situation.

“If and when Abdo goes back, I’ll still be on his side helping him,” Branum said.

So Branum knew where Abdo was, and surprise, it’s in Branum’s area of operations in Killeen. For those of you who don’t know who Branum is, he’s been using IVAW’s Under the Hood Cafe to recruit clients and to leech off of them. Under the Hood Cafe and James Branum are synonymous. We have a whole category of Branum posts.

It’s not the first time that IVAW has been involved with sequestering criminals. They kept Matthis from law enforcement at the DC IVAW House on Princeton Place, when Matthis refused to deploy to Iraq in 2008. Here’s the post in which TSO quoted Adam Kokesh when he threatened police who might come looking for Matthis;

Should any military or law enforcement personnel come here, to MY house, they will not be welcome, nor will they find removing him from the premises to be physically tenable.

So, it’s not new that IVAW hides fugitives from the police. And as we’ve reported in the past countless IVAW members were friends with him on Facebook, so they knew of the child porn charges and that he was AWOL. Here’s his last FB entry (thanks to Stable Hand at The Jawa Report who sent the screenshot when I asked for it yesterday)

A little over a week later, Abdo was AWOL and a few weeks after that, Abdo was arrested in Killeen for building bombs. It took Branum minutes after his arrest to wash his hands of Abdo;

If this isn’t proof that Branum needs to be stripped of his law license, nothing is. He helped Abdo abscond from Fort Campbell, steered Abdo towards Killeen and Under the Hood Cafe and got him monetary support which enabled Abdo to buy the stuff he needed to formulate his attack on a civilian target and US soldiers.

From a soldier who knew Abdo in basic training;

It couldn’t have been a surprise to anyone who knew Abdo that he had the potential for this. That’s what puts the IVAW in the forefront of this investigation.

So what are the chances that IVAW will even exist in six months given the facts as they stand now?

re #1

Probably pretty good. IVAW will bumble along until it inevitably falls apart from the inside. That’s preferable really, if the IVAW were to even appear to be shut down by law enforcement it will just turn into a rallying point for phony “oppression”. As it is now it’s already exceeded its shelf life, it only exists today as a networking hub for extreme left wing activism and to bilk naive liberals of their money and support.

No wonder he was still a pfc, he was trouble from the beginning. However, just like with Hasan, I’m sure there was the usual political correctness that got in the way of rooting this scumbag out very early on.

That IVAW, UTH, and his lawyer were complicit in harboring a fugitive surprises me not.

#1 IVAW, much like VVA before it will always retain a core of hardcores, but when America is at a state of peace, IVAW will dissolve, because really when there’s no war to “struggle” against, what’s the point? Are they all going to get together and have a drink over all the “good times” they had? The camaraderie they had is something they sold down the river long ago.

Will this incident finish them off? No. There will probably be a lot of official scrutiny, which will certainly eventually be “noticed” by the lamestream media, though they will fight a mighty battle not to notice (like almost every other story of note) but in the end the connection and the almost attack will force at least SOME stories. But with the large drama of the debt ceiling, it will go largely unnoticed by most average civilians.

UpNorth

Doc, I doubt that the LSM will make much effort here, at all. However, they will still kick the dead horse around, that the shooter in Norway was a “Christian”, even though evidence abounds that that isn’t so.
Abdo, being a muslim, is not news worthy, just because of that.

The day this guy was arrested, Huffington Post’s main article for most of the day was a story about how what happened in Norway could happen in America, and how the real threat to America is right wing terrorism. Hours later they dropped that story to the bottom of their main page, along with the story about Abdo.

Doc Bailey

UpNorth, Funny how desperate the Left is to prove that the Right is as dangerous as they routinely are. When’s the last time you saw a right wing protest movement cause as much damage as the Left’s protests on say the G-20

#7 Wish you’d has a screen shot of that.

Doc, think I got one of the Hufpo piece…I scrambled around getting all I could, lol.

Another Perspective

Matthis was never a fugitive. Matthis wanted to sucker support from naïve peace movement people by pretending he was a fugitive. The Army wasn’t hunting for him. They knew too well they were better off without him. If only IVAW did.

Also, wasn’t that when Kokesh was popping gin and Xanax?

Carolyn

it really is quite notable that the MSM has not even noted the involvement of the IVAW – an evil spawn of john kerry – in the abdo case.

Hey, You have to be understanding and culturally sensitive about the child porn this.

Mohammed was a pedophile, marrying a six-year-old girl, and then consummating said marriage when she was nine. So it goes along with Nasser’s religion to want to diddle kids.

Muslims will tell you that it was acceptable back then (8th century–not by western standards, it wasn’t) and that we need to be sensitive to changes in cultural beliefs, blah blah blah. European royalty did have a tendency in the middle ages to marry each other off as children, often to another child, or a daughter to an older king or prince–but the marriage wasn’t consummated until the kid reached adulthood.

So Abdo was simply following in mohammed’s footsteps. The whole child porn thing is *totally* understandable.

What I find really humorous is how IVAW seems to draw these types of people like moths to an arc light.

One Ninja

A little update from just one Ninja…

On the anti-war Facebook pages everyone is completely silent. I mean dead silent. No one is even asking questions. On the day it happen only one person brought it up, then they dropped it as well. They are acting like this never happened. ISO, We Are Not Your Soldiers, Elaine Brower, IVAW, VFP, so on and so on have not even posted on their pages about it.

@ #12- Yea, oh yea! The cockroaches are hiding! Hehehe….Scurry you rat bastiges, run! run like the wind. You to play big dog games until the big dog gets up off the porch to chase after you…..

Doc Bailey

I find that incredibly interesting. How long do you think before they start up with their regular idiocy again?

streetsweeper

They’ll come out from under their rock after somebody sounds the all clear, Doc. Socialist Guerrilla Fighters tend to do that…
