IVAW board member Kindlinger on the skids

| June 3, 2010

So, I got some intel last night that IVAW Board member Michael “Trey” Kindlinger is one of those homeless veterans you’re always reading about. He was complaining that it’ll cost him money to get a copy of his teacher credentials so he can’t get a job. Of course, being a member of the International Socialist Organization, he blames capitalism for his woes. Kindlinger.

You may remember Kindlinger was one of those IVAW members who has never been to Iraq. He was a nine year veteran of the Navy who suddenly had an attack of conscience, applied for CO status and was discharged. All the while his wife stayed on active duty, though.

It gets worse, though. Now that he’s without a job and living in a shelter (probably with his wife and kids) the people who run the shelter assault him with terrible gospel music. Kindlinger is supposedly a born-again Christian and got out of the Navy for religious reasons, but somehow the gospel music offends him. I wonder how he balances the ISO with the church since the two seem at odds with each other.

Kindlinger is broke now, but last August he had enough money to go to Fort Hood from his home in Maryland to protest the imprisonment of Travis Bishop in Fort Hood, Texas. here he’s interviewed by our favorite lawyer, James Branum;

It looks to me that “Trey” is just a run of the mill bonehead who lets his dumbassery make his life hard. And it’s all capitalism’s fault.

What the hell are they charging per copy…..

I paid $30 for my teaching certificate….

Sporkmaster

I thought that the person could not use his Church’s position on war but his or her own.

Scott

Another feather in the cap of IVAW.

Someone please confiscate that fucking liar’s shirt.

Since he won’t embrace Capitalism, and the ISO (IVAW) won’t help him out of his financial woes, I guess he’ll just have to “embrace the suck.”

Darwinism at work.

NHSparky

I can’t wait to see his wife show up here and try to defend his bullshit again.

That’s pretty consistent.

Army Sergeant

My sober response is: I don’t know if he’s homeless or not. If he is though, it’s pretty terrible, and it seems uncool and unsporting to kick a man when he’s down.

OldTrooper

I have nothing to say on the subject of this persons alleged lack of shelter. I do wonder why a Veterans org would allow such a thing to happen, though. I know in my Post if a Vet turns up homeless and is in need of supplies/money to get a place to stay and a meal, we have an emergency fund available to the Post Commander for such things. I have seen it used, along with the Post Service Officer getting involved to assist in long term needs of the Vet and his family. I guess that’s the difference between a real Veterans Service Organization and one that plays at being one. I guess when you are infested with radical communists, the mission changes from Vets service to political idealogue and the Vets suffer for it.

BTW The Vet needing assistance doesn’t have to be a member of our Org in order to get help, either.

Scott

“I don’t know if he’s homeless or not. If he is though, it’s pretty terrible, and it seems uncool and unsporting to kick a man when he’s down.”

Really? ‘Cause having actually served in combat in Iraq, I think it’s more than “uncool and unsporting” to waltz around in a t-shirt that proclaims “Iraq veteran” on it, when one has never set foot in Iraq.

If IVAW has the time and money to help throw a rock concert you’d think they’d have the time and money to help Trey out. I’ve met Trey at the time he was in the Ft. Hood area. He seemed nice enough. While he is an ISO member, you know, that group of “radical revolutionaries” or just plain “revolutionaries” that seem to always be broke, I don’t think he should be denied help based on that alone.

I do get tired of how everyone in the ISO blames Capitalism outright for everything unjust in the World. I think we live in more of a Corporatism state anyways and even if they got their Socialist utopia, the same thing would happen: Greed and corruption would still be problem. I also find that people who stick the closest to an ideology are often the most close-minded no matter what they may label themselves.

Whatever we might think about Trey, this is another shinning example of how IVAW really doesn’t take care of it’s people. C’mon now, this is a guy who is loyal member of your group and a current or former member of your board and it seems the national office has no intention of helping him out. Hell, Selena, you work at national and it seems you have no answers on this issue.

I feel for people who are loyal to IVAW, especially real Vets with PTSD and TBI who are only getting used to help raise money that doesn’t go to even members in need, it just seems to vanish.

Scott

“I feel for people who are loyal to IVAW, especially real Vets with PTSD and TBI who are only getting used to help raise money that doesn’t go to even members in need, it just seems to vanish.”

It goes up Matthis Chiroux’s nose, while he is busy dishonoring veterans and reminding us how “we’re all tortured” by the military and how you can rape someone without being a rapist. It’s the only thing that helps him escape from the horrors of the stories he heard about the war, and the memories of his six day “deployment” to Afghanistan.

Jonn:
I’m sorry that I’m “dead to you” because I tried to keep Bobby Whittenberg in the organization in my official capacity as membership coordinator. I am tasked to support all the membership, not just the ones whose politics I agree with. I don’t agree with Bobby on a lot of things, but he is a veteran-and even a combat veteran with PTSD.

OldTrooper and Casey:
This is the first time I’m hearing about this. I don’t know where or who Jonn’s source is. If Trey needs help of course we will help him.

His Royal Majesty, King Matthis, Soverign Lord of IVAW does not have time or money to waste on such trivial matters as housing for a Vet (combat or otherwise)!! Scott is correct… all proceeds collected by IVAW must first pass through Matthis’ sinus cavities. Then anything that is left may be used for matches, gasoline, flags, Matthis’ rent and/or trips around the country to corrupt high school students. Priorities people!

Casey J Porter

Actually, Matthis is planing to go to the Caribbean according to some info I got.

Clearly, HE is his biggest priority.

AS, he’s been posting about what he has been going through on his Facebook page. How could people not know? Oh, that’s right, they don’t care.

AH HA HA HA HA HA… oh, wow.

Casey, is this a vacation financed by IVAW or does he plan to move there?

Casey J Porter

IVAW is probably paying for it one way or another. hahaha I wish he’d keep his sorry ass down there.
