Ok, we have read many reports on the Taliban using kids and teens to be used in suicide bombings, but this one found a school that had the look of a Taliban Day Care. with art showing the “Heaven” that wound be waiting for those that would be willing to be a walking bomb. Complete with the teachings on why there is no point to continue living.
When we got to this compound it was shocking for us,” Lt. Col. Yusuf tells us, standing in the middle of what the Pakistani military says was a brainwashing center — for children.
Also the Taliban have taken into wanting to take advantage of the local populations by encoruging that they have nothing to live for and why bother waiting to go to Heaven.
“I have never seen such elaborate paintings about so-called heaven,” Taliban expert Zahid Hussein says, looking at the images.
He has seen similar tactics in the past and spoken extensively with would-be child suicide bombers in the custody of the authorities.
“They [the militants] say life is a waste here and if you do a good thing you will go to heaven, immediately to heaven. For someone who does not have anything to look forward to, who does not have any opportunities and is living a wretched life, this sort of thing comes as a big incentive,” Hussein explains.
He says the children end up believing that their life in this world is worthless, that life only starts in the hereafter. The Taliban is offering them a fast track option to paradise, a longed for escape from their daily reality surrounded by violence.
But their use on the armed conflict in Afghanistan has been very visible on the web and the implications against those involved there.
I understand the different views on us being there, but you really think that people like this will just stop despite telling us that we have no problem with America?

If the United States ceased to exist tomorrow, these assholes would not stop. They and their ilk have been waging this war for 14 friggin centuries now, and they will not stop unless and until they are all dead, or the entire planet is converted to Islam or enslaved by Islam, or killed by Islam.
To think that they are fighting against the United Sates is incredibly narcissistic of us. These assmaggots are fighting against the entire world! We just present them with an easy boogieman to exploit for their own propaganda purposes. They have a warped view of religion, and especially their place in it, and intend to do everything they can to impose their will upon the rest of the world, even if it involves killing everyone and everything they deem kaffir and/or harram.
F@ck them. F@ck them all. It’s time that we as a nation, with or without the support of the rest of the world, removed our ROE shackles and go after them the same way we did the Nazis. They are as bad, if not worse a horror as Nazi Germany, and we should treat them no differently.
Bomb the living cr@p out of them. Bomb anyone who supports them. Nuke them if needs be. Make even the thought of giving support in any form to the Taliban or AQ or Hammas or any other of these psychopaths so horrific to entertain, that generations of children will quake in fear at America’s response to these Jihadis. Make it a lesson that history will never forget, right up their with the destruction of Carthage.
YMMV, of course, but that’s how I see it.

I’ve been wanting to take the kid gloves off for a while. I fear that too few Americans agree. Perhaps, if the Takfiri pull a Beslan off here in CONUS, that will change.
If, God Forbid, a Beslin-type attack occurred in these United States, God’s own Angels would weep at the bloodbath which would be released upon Islam.
The Taliban would be well-advised to ask the Japanese how the Pacific war was fought compared to the war against Germany.

I really don’t agree with Tim’s policy prescription, but I do agree with his analysis re: the agenda of the hardcore Taliban, with one adjustment. The leadership probably doesn’t actually believe in anything other than themselves, but they sure as hell want other people (particularly the poorest, youngest, and most ignorant) to believe in a particular warped vision so they, not the leadership, die in service of expanding the leadership’s power.

Well to me this would give the Taliban a reason to attack aid workers and really challenge the idea that we just need to send in only non-military support personal.

Yeah, I know… folks say it’s overkill.
However, do any of you remember awhile back when some Jihadis kidnapped a Russian fellow and demanded ransom and concessions from the Soviets? (This was before the collapse). Well, the KGB located the families of the kidnappers and, instead of sending the ransom, sent a few small parts. The Russian was released tout suite and no one kidnapped any Russians again.
The Romans were willing to put up with Carthage’s intransigence for quite awhile. Eventually, they realized that the only way to solve the problem was to remove Carthage. Period. The Latin Cathargo Delenda Est means “Carthage is deleted”. I’d like to change that to Wahabism Delenda Est. That would, in my estimation, be a good start.

This a SOP that has been around for many, many years. COnvince the young and impressionable, to blow themselves up for something that you, yourself are not willing to do. If life really isn’t worth living, maybe someone should point that out to the taliban that maybe they should take themselves deep first? Expose their lies in front of everyone.
I agree with AW1 Tim’s analysis of the problem, although I am not quite on line with the prescription. He’s right that they will not stop, ever. This is a group of people that are still pissed about the crusades, that’s why OBL likes to call us “Crusaders” it helps to inflame emotions and helps recruit more martyrs.
OT is right, The PLO, or PA or whatever they go by now has been doing that for decades. Try to find a map showing Israel in a Palestinian geography book. It’s easy to find photos of toddlers and even infants dressed as homicide bombers.
I fear for what will happen to this country in the next few years. In spite of all the attacks against us we still have people saying “We can”t bomb them into oblivion, that might make them mad.” or words that basically mean the same thing. The terrorists see us as weak because we fight by the so-called rules while they have no rules and respect no one else’s. I agree with AW1 Tim, they want to go to heaven, let’s help them. They are breeding future warriors at an alarming rate. In their world, warriors are old enough at 5 or 6 or even younger. I fear the majority have lost the will to survive and that can only spell our destruction, not theirs.
Good post, and Moe, I agree with what you’ve posted. Esp. the comment on rules. I guess the “majority” you refer to could apply to both them and us. Cuz, I hear it every day that we have to go along to get along, and if we’d only just abandon Israel and bring everyone home, they’d leave us alone.
I do agree with Tim’s 3rd paragraph though, they ARE worse than the Nazis, and that should mold our response to them.
Taking a lesson from VietNam, it sounds as if no matter what we do, we lose.
If we let the muzzie children in close enough (awwww. . . ain’t they cute. . .), they go BOOM! and we lose soldiers.
If we shoot the little “darlings” before they get close enough to do damage, even if they explode to show that they were bombers, we are accused on the world stage of being child killers.
Where & how far do we go to protect ourselves? Genocide? If it’s necessary, I’m for that.
