Security guard shoots alleged shoplifter near Charles Village Safeway in Baltimore, police say

By COLIN CAMPBELL and PHILLIP JACKSON
A security guard shot a man suspected of shoplifting at the Safeway in Baltimore’s Charles Village neighborhood Monday morning, police said.

The shooting happened just after 9 a.m. at the grocery store, at 2401 N. Charles St., said detective Chakia Fennoy, a Baltimore police spokeswoman.

The armed security guard confronted the man and noticed he had what appeared to be a gun, police said. The security guard shot the man in the ankle during a brief struggle, police said.

The suspect suffered non-life threatening injuries, Fennoy added.

Frankie Phillips, 32, who lives near the Safeway, said he saw the suspect “waving something” while in the store. Phillips said the security guard told the suspect to drop his weapon nearly “half a dozen times” but he refused.

Suspected burglar tied to shoot-out in Ponchatoula neighborhood arrested in East Baton Rouge

By: Jeremy Krail
BATON ROUGE – Three alleged burglars are facing charges after they shot at a homeowner in Tangipahoa Parish and then led police on a cross-parish chase into Baton Rouge.

On Wednesday, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said the crime spree began in the Havens subdivision along LA 445 in Ponchatoula on May 6.

When a homeowner in the neighborhood confronted the burglars in the early morning, the burglars allegedly fired shots and ran away on foot. The sheriff’s office said the homeowner returned fire but no one was hit.

The three then got into a vehicle with the keys inside and used that to speed away from the area.

The vehicle was spotted in Walker later that same morning, and a pursuit broke out when officers tried to make a traffic stop. The suspects led authorities on a chase all the way into neighboring East Baton Rouge Parish and crashed in the city of Baton Rouge.

One of the suspects, 18-year-old Michael Carney was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. Another 17-year-old suspect was also inside the car.

The odd protuberance below the hammer on the pictured Korth allows for tool-less cylinder swapping, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. .38/.357 to 9mm, and it would not break my heart if one filled an empty spot in the Casa de AW1’s gun safe for my Birthday.
In November.
*cough*

That ‘Safeway’ “customer” din’t follow instructions too good. Shame, that.

You want a revolver that will do 38/357/9mm?
Ruger makes several Western themed models in SA & DA.

4 of a kind is still a semi decent hand. We’ll take it.

My odd protuberance below used to be a hammer. Now it is less than a tool since it’s not firing on all cylinders sometimes. It doesn’t fire blanks and I did build a nice shed over it so there is that.

Roh & Tox…I told y’all that collection we took up for his birthday prize shoulda gone towards another wheelie….but nooooooooo, y’all had to go with front row, center seats tickets at the I-Max for that damn motion picture. At least, now, with the Grand Premiere being delayed to the fall the gift will be closer to his actual birthday. Toss the Muther’s (sic) Day Card and pick up a birthday theme. And make up a goose berry pie, life’s a beach and he and Mick will have a ball with it. And volley fire a few Mavericks instead of candles, it’ll make a nice touch.

All them FIRSTs messin’ with his head.

Heck, I’m not opposed to the 6 shooter for the Top Dog! Just one request, we pre-sent the steel at a sand volleyball e-stablishment with Playing With The Boys annunciating in the foreground.
Uniform of the Day: shorts, NO SHIRT (unless you’re named after a migratory bird) and dog tags. Also you must apply baby oil and sunburn VERY quickly!

I’m a good hider.
Real good.
*grin* <— you missed it so I filled it in for ya.

?Postal? Does that mean the check is in the mail? Surely he hasn’t lost that loving feeling? Did the crockpit err cockpot get inverted and we lose the BBQ? Give me a heads up when you find out.

Appeared to be a gun? was it a gun? I read the baltimore news letter and that article didn’t say if the perp actually had a gun. Peeps shopping in Safeway should be in a safe way while shopping there.

This is a recipe my grandmother had.
The copy I have was made by my mother.

Squash Casserole
(“summer squash”)
2 Cups cooked squash
¾ stick margarine
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Salt
½ Tsp. Pepper

1 Cup chopped Onion
1 Cup grated cheese
1 Cup evaporated milk
2 cups cracker crumbs

Mash cooked squash
Add other ingredients
Mix well. Pour into
greased casserole.
Bake at 375º for about 40 min.

Gonna make this one soon. My yellow squash is coming on strong. Picked a mess of beans today. Corn is tasseling and growing great guns. If all them termaters make and I get some more jalapeño we’re gonna have some good salsa in a month or two.

This was SUPPOSE to be on the cooking page.

I need more coffee.
