Fake SEAL Cons “Black-ish” Star

| May 11, 2020

Through the affiliate FoxSanAntonio, the Associated Press reports that Jenifer Lewis, the actress in the popular TV show “Black-ish” was conned by a man posing as a US Navy SEAL.

The man is going to plea guilty.

A man accused of romancing “black-ish” star Jenifer Lewis and three other women to con them out of money for his phony businesses agreed Friday to plead guilty to a federal charge of wire fraud, prosecutors said.

Antonio Wilson, 57, of Santa Monica, acknowledged conning the women in the plea agreement filed in federal court in Los Angeles, the U.S. attorney’s office said in a statement. He was expected to plead guilty at a later hearing.

Wilson, also known as “Dr. Tony Mariot” and “Brice Carrington,” fleeced his victims out of nearly $400,000 that he claimed were investments in his sound design company and software business, prosecutors said.

In fact, he spent the money on himself, they said.

Wilson is facing up to 20 years in prison.

Someone needs to give the False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) a call.

    They have another potential recruit!

    • Hack Stone says:

Recruit? Hell, this guy is more than qualified for a senior executive position at All Points Logistics. Maybe he should take over their Reston Virginia Office. Word on the street is that they had some asshole there back in 2014 who wreaked all kinds of havoc, such as mandating that spandex was the only acceptable business attire.

  3. Ex-PH2 says:

Gee, he picked on Jenifer Lewis, of all people? That takes some real nerve!

But hey, as the progs/libs like to say, “lying about military service is not a crime and victimless,” cuz the perps are just exercising their first amendment rights to get laid or whatever.

It’s all fun and games right up until it’s their ox getting gored.

    • Commissar says:

Exactly when have “libs” taken that position?

      • Ret_25X says:

during the entire time they were supporting the appeal of the original stolen valor act?

Just a guess, because the left as a whole only supports free speech when its hateful BS against taxpayers, the military, or cops.

Which is ironic considering they also believe those are the groups who will give them all the free shit they seem to want.

I will, however, agree that the term “liberal” is incorrect, as the left is certainly not liberal.

I did a google foo looking for a mug shot of some sort. No joy on that. I did see thru some of the comments on other news links that this was just another example, in her case leastways, of black on black crime. He had previously been busted and served time in 2009 for a similar scam that netted himself considerably more than 400K. Imma try to leave a linky with a few more details. Too bad for her, and others, they didn’t contact MP/TAH. Type in someone’s name followed by phony seal and the FIRST thing that pops up is linky to The Hair and then to MP.
