California party that violated stay-at-home order and drew around 400 comes to ‘bad end’ with 6 shot

A huge party in California that defied the state’s stay-at-home orders to combat coronavirus came to a “bad end” early Saturday with six people shot, authorities said.Deputies responding to a call about the shooting discovered that it happened at a party being held at an apartment complex in Bakersfield, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.
“Unfortunately, it came to a bad end,” said Sheriff’s Lt. Cesa Ollague.
Ollague told The Associated Press that frantic witnesses to the shooting called 911 shortly after midnight.

You got me on the ugly pistol which looks similar to the Dreyse 1907 pistol, so what is it??
It’s the Warner Infallible, chambered in .32 ACP.
Davis-Warner imported German firearms during the early 20th Century. World War I interrupted that, so they decided to “roll their own” – and the “lovely pistol” above was the result.
I’ve seen one account saying that if you didn’t cock the pistol properly (another says reassemble it properly), the breechblock reportedly would leave the pistol “at a high rate of speed”. Perhaps the pistol’s name was more wishful thinking than descriptive. (smile)

Nope, it’s not a Dreyse (see above). But the Dreyse qualifies as butt-ugly too. (smile)
So if any of these shooting victims die, will they be included in the Coronavirus death count? The leftstream media set the bar pretty low when tallying Hurricane Maria deaths, so these people should at least be included in the number of those hospitalized due to the Coronavirus.
Very good chance they will Hack Stone. I put a linky on the spread by pooting thread yesterday re a hospital in Columbus wanting to include a death that the coroner said was NOT the main cause of death. Seen some other blurbs here & there on the in her webz on that same subject. And like the bodies that “aren’t being claimed by relatives” in Noo Yawk City being buried in the trench in Potter’s Field. FEMA paying a bonus to each medical facility for each The Rona death.
The dindus in Commiefornia just mad ’cause they didn’t get invited to the party. They were on their way to choir practice since the junior college is closed for classes. Surprised that shooting people is still a prosecutable offence there.

The protective wings of the Firebase Magnolia Guardian Angel were wrapped around us here at 0God30 hrs this morning. The storm wreaked havoc and spread terror and discontent all around, but no damage here. Little Chapman the K9 whimpered, howled, and shook the whole while. Trixie the other K9 just curled up on her bed in the corner till it passed. The felines couldn’t make up their damn minds what the hell they wanted to do.
Glad y’all came through the storms unscathed. Getting brisk winds and rain here now, and it’s expected the ‘freshen’ through the afternoon.

For you history buff’s out there, there was a 1500 acre fire in southeast Colorado near Bent’s Fort but the Historic Fort was not damaged.
Doesn’t look flammable but it does look cool.

Kinda hard to believe the last time I was there at PCMS was almost 30 years ago. My outfit was doing a prep-up (Jan/Feb 91) for a later on that year NTC rotation and we were all hunkered down in the extension to my S-4 Track watching the initial DS/DS bombing runs on a little 4-inch screen field TV.

Drill Sergeant Nua was always mooching “fresh” d-cells for his little field TV. Football junkie, and made bets (not told to us, but I overheard him collect. Sharp bettor, especially in the field)
Then, I quietly let him know I knew how to pick up locally televised games on a PRC-77. (Mainly so my flight would work.) One band overlapped TV, being between 6 and 7. A proper wire antenna helped greatly, which I knew how to improvise from Commo wire.
We never missed a radio check or had Commo fail in the field. DS Nua always had the local info pronto. DS Campbell publicly complemented me on making the platoon look good, when everyone else had screwed up radios and missed checks.
Win win.
Official obtaining/scrounging of fresh PRC-77 batteries let me scrounge stuff for the platoon, also handy.
Later on, that mailbag made me King Scrounge.
(Note: DS Nua never, ever bet with trainees, only equal or superior NCOs, and he went to some lengths to conceal the DS stuff. We trainees were not allowed to gamble.)

When the Army made me live in Bergen County NJ I’d take trips into the city. One of my hobbies was to take pics of obese officers. Nothing instills confidence like a cop that couldn’t run his/her mouth without getting winded.
People with weak/small hands can’t seat a full G-17 mag. Spring is too strong fully compressed.
Some senior wrote that 15 rule to avoid embarrassment.

magazine is seven.
C’mon man, I have some 8 rounders for my 1911’s.
I strongly advise loading 7 for carry. I have that advice from some -very- knowledgeable people who have observed some very awkward misfeeds with 8 in the mag. This is especially true for the ones where the base is flush with the frame. But even the slightly extended ones have been observed to do so.
I load 7.
Thanks for the advice. I don’t carry a 1911. But if I ever do, I will only load 7, just like we only loaded 18 in our 20 round mags for the M-16 in the Viet of the Nam.
Four non-melanin challenged gentlemen were reportedly the shooters. Fortunately they likely had zero range time.
