Boomer’s Sunday
It’s time once again, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, for Boomer’s Sunday, where I cull through his weekly offering of ‘toons, and pick the best. Honorable Mention goes to my pals Woke Infidel, AW1 Scott, our own Skippy, HMCS(FMF) ret, ninja, Poetrooper, Mason, Jeff LPH 3 63-66, thebesig, Keepin’ It Real, and Ex, who also have provided some entertainment. These are mostly from the right, with humor scattered around. I am more than willing to post up differing points of view if they don’t annoy me. Now what could be fairer than that? So here we are, with the ‘toons that may amuse, make you think, or just piss you off.

Not fake news. My college daughters purchased a bottle of rose at Trader Joe’s. After they opened it, the were looking for some glasses. One daughter says “We don’t need glasses, we can share a bottle like some old army veterans…”
I am like….what? It’s Rose wine…!!
Thank you for posting these, they will help me get through the week,
“Stay back 100 meters or you will be shot”
God I long for the warning signs of the cold war
era in Germany and then again in Viet of the Nam.
There was no misunderstanding about anything…
Many Iraqis got shot for not staying back 100 meters…although in practice it was more like 100 meters more or less…
Many also got shot at checkpoints for not obeying the STOP sign…
All I can do is shrug my shoulders in response to those who get outraged at the thought that we would shoot illiterate people for not obeying warning signs…
Another excellent assortment for our Sunday Morning Jollies. It will help me to “Face the Nation” and that evil skrunt Margaret Brennan(?). Why do I watch it? The better to know thine enemy.
The 4 Cs are helping me thru this time…coffee, cookies, coldbeers, and cartridges.
“Right turn, Clyde!”
Don’t know which way to laugh on the N95 mask depletion…Obama’s folks had 7 years to replenish and didn’t. On the other hand… Trump’s folks have had 3 years, and also didn’t. That’s the facts, Jack.
Which administration went through a pandemic that depleted supplies, and failed to re-stock? Hint- Ebola.
Oh, I don’t argue that Obama’s folks dropped the ball, but the current folks have had three years to raise their hands and say “whoa, we ain’t got annya this shit” and haven’t. If it was six months I could see giving them a pass, but three years? Hell no!
If by “current folks” you meant “the same folks that didn’t fix the inventory for 3 years” you are correct.
But if you meant the President, you are now the object of ridicule because the President is not the inventory specialist for these agencies.
Let’s put the blame where it belongs…with the agency’s “government servants” who allowed the situation to exist.
When a new president takes office, it might help if the senior management spent some time doing their jobs…but alas, scant brownie points in government circles for doing one’s job.
Is this Trump’s fault? NO…Nor is it really Obama’s fault–although he may not have followed up with appropriations or funding, it is hard to blame the President for the failings of the thousands of career civil servants working for him.
It is also important to note here that the President has very little ability to fire even the most incompetent or criminal civil servant–even those who work directly for the White House.
So I’m not sure how a President has any real ability to force anyone to do their jobs if the management hired in the agency won’t do theirs.
Someone may be quarantined with my ex, poor bastard. If he doesn’t have a drinking problem by now…
Speaking of, anyone know a publicly traded rehab company? Might be a senator-level investment rightchair.
Good stuff as usual, but IMHO the Clint Eastwood one is and insult to Orangutans everywhere!
You’re right, API. My apologies to Orangutans, everywhere.
The batman wins.
Believe it or not, SJ, I look forward to your opinion on the best of Boomer’s ‘toons. My personal favorite this week was Jack the shadow cat.
Your attempt to troll me by feeding my ego falls flat. My ego is fake, a tool I use to troll others and to fake innocence of intent when caught saying something outrageous. I don’t care about acceptance or appreciation. And of course I know for a fact you don’t give a flying effing monkey-on-the-stick-with-a-victoria-secret-supermodel about others people’s opinions.
Said that, Jack the shadow cat was cool, but it gave away your game, as it was weak and non-political compared to Trump as Batman, which alleges to Trump using his own money and time for the good of the people.
He does have that big black car.

May as well be one of Boomer’s – a Venezuelan patrol boat rammed a cruise ship to force them to change headings. The cruise ship had a reinforced hull for Arctic cruises, the patrol boat didn’t. And sank.
Can’t cure stupid. The technique to turn a larger vessel, especially an unarmed one, is called “shouldering.” This is where the military vessel points its guns at the other vessel’s bridge and runs up along side, contacting it beam to beam, and sort of pushes it in the desired direction. Fenders are optional. If the larger ship ignores this, well, that’s what the guns are for.
Ramming and sinking? They’re not doing it right.
We got a live one.. in a Facebook group.
He showed up, swearing, telling the doubters to “un-F yourselves”
War veteran, yes.
Special Forces 5th Green Beret?
Hmmmmm.
He’s got a collection of photos,
that don’t necessarily help his case.
Have fun.

I ran into this after it was full blown.

Thanks marinedad61. This really isn’t the venue you’re looking for. Please go to the ‘Contact Us’ tab at the top of the site and send all to our sister site, Military Phonies at:
https://militaryphony.com/
They will take it on board, get documentation with legal chain of custody, and nail it down. Actually, its already on the way. Go figure.

Ok, thanks.
He appears to be good… but a bit misguided
in how he puts himself out there on Facebook.
His DD-214 turned up,
and other than 2002 Iraq dates (??)
(5th or 10th SF),
he looks good.
But why wouldn’t a 10th SF guy in Iraq list 10th SF,
since that’s the glory duty?
I believe he will be editing his Facebook page.
Thanks again.
That was fun. Always good stuff.
Now, don’t spoil us too much, but the surprise second showing later in the week sure was appreciated last week. Wouldn’t necessarily want it to become a habit since that would take away some of the special, but thanks.
