We Must Not Forget… Ever

| January 31, 2020

The Holocaust must not be forgotten, any more than Stalin’s gulags and purges should be dismissed as inconsequential, and likewise Mao Tse-Tung’s failed agriculture program, part of the Great Leap Forward, that starved people to death. North Korea still makes people disappear, to use them as guinea pigs if they won’t knuckle under to the government. There are too many examples of governments abusing their own citizens for the sin of disagreeing with them.

In Argentina, disagreeing with the government meant that you literally vanished. https://www.history.com/news/mothers-plaza-de-mayo-disappeared-children-dirty-war-argentina

The same thing happened in Chile. Over 30,000 people are estimated to have been subjected to enforced disappearances under Pinochet. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_rights_violations_in_Pinochet%27s_Chile

Fidel Castro is not dead yet, you know, even if he lets his brother appear to run things. Anything spoken that is antigovernment gets you jail time, which you may or may not survive. Under Che Guevara, it was worse: torture followed by death.

Mao Tse-Tung did not care if people starved to death under his great plan. There were more than enough people to fill his need for control. Officials never went hungry. The rough estimate by Yang Jisheng, author of “Tombstone”, is that up to 36,000,000 Chinese people literally starved to death under Mao’s Great Leap Forward plan, during a period when harvests were so inadequate that entire villages were starving to death, and desperate people cannibalized anyone who died. He reported such things as a young girl so desperate that she killed and ate her own baby sister. https://www.amazon.com/Tombstone-Great-Chinese-Famine-1958-1962/dp/0374533997

The numbers from the Soviet Union’s Lysenkoist ag program are estimated at between 7,000,000 and 9,000,000, but the total may be higher. Mass graves have been found and excavated, but identifying those victims will take considerable time. Robert Conquest documented the disappearances and mass executions in “The Great Terror”, but revised it to include backup, some years after it was originally published.  https://www.amazon.com/Great-Terror-Reassessment-Robert-Conquest/dp/0195317009

There is too much going on today that resembles the start of what allowed the Nazi death camps and the Soviet gulags and the disappearances to come into existence.

https://www.france24.com/en/tag/holocaust/    The Red Army discovered Auschwitz-Birkenau before the Nazis could cover their tracks completely. The camp had been abandoned and the remaining prisoners left to die by starvation. Sobibor, in Poland, was one of the few camps that people escaped from and lived to add their memories to the horror of the Nazis’ rampage.

I do not have to be  anyone other than who I am to be very angry and offended by the crap that is growing on the internet. However, it is better to know about it, and that it is expressed openly where it cannot be denied, than to bury it and pretend it doesn’t exist.

If representatives of both Jews (American Jewish Committee) and Muslims (Muslim World League) can visit Auschwitz-Birkenau to bear witness and link arms to say “Never Again”, then so can the rest of us.

Very timely and spot on reminder M’Lady. Just as we are rapidly losing the Vets of WWII, so are we losing the last of the survivors of the atrocities of Hitler. The other “alleged” purges by other countries have what their gubmints can call “plausible deniablity” but the Germans can’t. When the last of the eye witnesses are gone, the buildings and records that were saved will be additional proof of what can happen when the population is disarmed and under the heel of the despot. I feel that they lack of history teachings in the schools is part of the overall plan to wipe these records away so that future generations will not fear “the Beast.”

There are some of us here who had people that either survived these purges or were FIRST person witnesses to this. And some have both.

Great minds and all that. Are you going to post up the topic we discussed yesterday evening?

Ed,
Something like this??

God, how ignorant are some folks, really??
This is *Twice* now Bernie’s folks have cut loose.
South Carolina field organizer for Bernie Sanders claiming that he is a “communist” and eager to “start fighting.” Republicans will be sent to “re-education camps” while making air quotation marks indicting these would actually be death camps.

Not quite, but it is a First Amendment issue. I’ll let Ex post up, or I will if she needs a break.

Don’t forget that Arminian genocide also.

The Other Whitey

As I have posted here before, my in-laws got a pretty good look at communism from the inside when they were still in Cambodia. They don’t recommend it. They were tortured and starved, their son murdered, and my Mother-In-Law was raped many more times than I care to contemplate, all in the name of the “People’s Socialist Revolution.”

Socialism and communism, songs of the Siren. They sound beautiful and enticing while also looking like a great concept on paper (while ignoring the actual outcome). However, very dangerous and deadly for all involved if the warnings are disregarded and the road leading to it is not avoided. I truly fail to see the difference between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Two sides of the same coin. The Yin and the Yang of a super corrupt version of dualism. One is red, white, and black, with a Swastika and the other is red and yellow with a Sickle and Hammer. I can’t stand either of them and that includes Socialism and Communism. And the sad part is, there are still fools that fall for this song and dance. Heck, there are some people who blame Venezuela’s economic collapse on US sanctions (I believe this is because it is yet another failure of socialism and these people refuse to take the hint that socialism will always fail and they fail to realize that all those social programs cost money to run) when it’s entirely self inflicted, with several large companies going out of business or leaving the country while the oil company was nationalized and those that protested were fired and replaced with government cronies who had no idea what they were doing. And when the price of oil fell, their economy collapsed like a ton of bricks, now going into a complete and total death spiral. It seems that many people in the US and elsewhere in the West are beginning to rethink what the role of the government should be. I like to call it The Re-Enlightnent.

Fidel assumed room temperature back in 2016, though his POS brother is still a waste of gravity and an oxygen thief.

Left or right, totalitarian regimes, bite the big one.
