Attempted robbers scared off by man’s gun-toting wife in north Houston
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A gun-toting wife fought back against three men who attempted to steal money from her husband.
On Nov. 27, Houston police responded to reports of an attempted robbery in the 9000 block of Shady Lane.
Authorities say the woman’s husband was working outside of his house when he noticed a black four-door vehicle drive by his home slowly.
The man said the car made a U-turn and drove back towards his home and two men exited the vehicle and quickly ran up to him with guns.
The men then dragged him inside of his home and demanded money.The man’s wife heard the commotion and grabbed a gun. She came out of the bedroom and pointed the gun at the two men, who then turned and shot towards her and ran away.

Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputy shot off-duty at home, kills attacker
WATSON, La. (KLFY) – One man is dead after an off-duty deputy-involved shooting in Livingston Parish.
Shortly before 1 a.m. today (Dec. 16), the Livingston Parish sheriff’s deputy was at his home when he was reportedly confronted by an armed individual. A physical altercation occurred, in which both the deputy and his attacker discharged their guns. Both were struck by gunfire.
The attacker was pronounced dead at the scene, while the deputy was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Neither person’s identity has been released.

No criminal charges for Provo man who shot and killed neighbor during assault

PROVO — A Provo man who police say shot and killed his neighbor after coming across a violent assault won’t face criminal charges, the Utah County Attorney’s Office said Monday.Adam Taylor, 22, fatally shot Jeremy Sorensen, 26, in front of their apartment complex, 260 E. 500 North, on June 3, according to police.
After reviewing the evidence — which included reports, interviews and recordings — prosecutors have decided not to file charges against the gunman.
