KR-9 SBR
Kalashnikov USA KR-9

Following in the successful shoes of AKs in 9mm Kalashnikov USA is releasing what appears to be the only true AK rifle, pistol, and SBR in 9mm based on the actual Russian Vityaz-SN SMG. For true AK aficionados, this is the closest you’ll get to that little gun. The gun looks amazing and feels great in hand. The pistol version would be perfect for a brace, and the rifle version does look somewhat odd with the 16-inch barrel. The SBR is like Goldilocks and porridge, its just right.

Man found to be justified in Oak Island motel shooting
By Hunter Ingram

Bryan Thomas Lopes, 39, will not be charged with shooting Paul Willard Dobson, 47, who came crashing into his room on Oct. 20.

OAK ISLAND – A Lincolnton man will not be charged for shooting an intruder in his motel room last Sunday.

On Friday, Brunswick County District Attorney Jon David announced that Bryan Thomas Lopes, 39, was found to be legally justified in shooting Paul Willard Dobson, 47, when he came crashing into Lopes’ room at the Ocean Crest Motel on Oct. 20. The shooting was found to be justified under “defense of habitation” doctrine, according to a release from David’s office.

The incident happened just after midnight. Lopes told authorities he was asleep with his wife in their room when they heard a loud disturbance outside. Lopes retrieved his handgun from his bedside table and went to the door to investigate. But before he could peer through the peephole, the locked door flung open and Dobson fell through it, knocking Lopes against the wall.

Early morning house fire at the scene of deadly shooting

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WOWK) – A home where a man was fatally shot Wednesday, October 23, 2019, was set on fire early Thursday morning.

Police say the series of incidents began Wednesday when Cabell County 911 received a call around 6 p.m. from a woman stating that a man was trying to enter her residence with a gun.

When Huntington Police officers arrived, they found Christopher Johnson, 31, of Michigan, with a gunshot wound. Johnson was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later.

The resident, Alicia Freeman, 40, also from Michigan, told investigators that Johnson came to the residence with a gun and demanded money. Several children and Freeman’s boyfriend were in the residence when Johnson arrived.

According to Freeman and other witnesses, Johnson pointed the gun at several people, threatened them, and attempted to shoot Freeman’s boyfriend. Witnesses say the gun malfunctioned and a fight ensued. During the altercation, Freeman said Johnson began fighting with one of her children. Freeman said she was able to grab the gun and shoot Johnson while he was attacking her child.

The whole of the Bill of Rights is a declaration of the right of the people at large or considered as individuals. It establishes some rights of the individual as unalienable and which consequently, no majority has a right to deprive them of. — Albert Gallatin of the New York Historical Society, October 7, 1789.

That arson in WVA,
Pissed off “friend” or “business partner” of the deceased?
Wondering if this was a drug deal gone sideways, or purchaser owed dealer money.
Strange stuff…….

Glad to see you back, AW1Ed. Hope you’re doing well and through whatever troubles were besetting you. Enjoyed ExPH2’s postings, but just not the same “flavor” or style.

From the Oak Island story, as sister Mary Grace might say: I’m glad they had sufficient “qualities of alcohol” to consume…because everyone knows quality is better than quantity!
