President Trump Trolls Left by Hinting at Third Run

| August 9, 2019

Notice how President Trump posts a tweet, that sparks massive debate when there appears to be a slowdown or change in rhythm in the news? (r/The_Donald)

One tactic, to get the enemy to reveal their location, is to do something to get them to think they’re under attack. The enemy fires in response, allowing the friendly forces to know where the enemy is at. If things go as planned, they’d also have an estimate of enemy positions and arrangement.

President Trump does the equivalent… With words. It’s not uncommon for him to joke about running for a third term. He doesn’t do this just to rattle certain liberal media talking heads. He’s getting them to expose their true nature.

It was obvious that he was joking. He was also trolling. That didn’t stop talking heads on the left from going into overdrive.

Fire up one to three tweets. Democrats go nuts and take longer to talk than it did to generate those tweets while exposing more of their true natures. (Ben Garrison).

Many people don’t realize that everything that the President says, and does, serves a purpose. Leftist talking heads accused President Trump of not wanting to give up power if he “loses”. Or, if he wins a second term, they actually wonder if he’d do something to be able to run for a third term.

President Trump capitalized on this to send them into a feeding frenzy of speculation. They talked about what President Trump could possibly do to challenge the results of an election that didn’t go his way.

This included challenging the results of heavily democratic districts, trying to get their results thrown own, and other tricks to wiggle his way to victory.

In their effort to try to paint President Trump as someone that doesn’t care about democracy, fairness, etc., the left projected their traits onto the subject of their criticism. As such, they ended up providing us the blueprint by which they plan to challenge the election results in an attempt to deny President Trump a second term if he wins. If that happens, it would be a matter of using their own words against them.

I think you’re right thebesig, but what I’m concerned about is the stupid gun control crap he’s now spouting, along with other repubs.. if they go down this road, that could really change the look of the upcoming election..

Back ground checks!! I had to get a back ground check when I applied for my Job as well as a back ground check when I applied for the NYC carry permit that went along with the job and a back ground check when I purchased hand guns in Nassau County NY where a permit was required. I had a back ground check when I applied for a concealed carry permit when I moved down to Florida. I also had to have a back ground before getting a Custom House license at 4 world trade center when I worked for the above.

Illinois has, as far as I know, the strictest laws on gun ownership in the country. They include background checks. It doesn’t mean that people with a chip on their shoulders can’t get hold of one. They simply get them from “friends” or outright theft.

Mason

Wait and see. “Common sense” background checks could just be legislation updating our current system to behave the way it’s supposed to. States should be required to enter information in, and be penalized for non-compliance.

Fyrfighter

Good points all. As to the “wait and see”, that’s why i’m currently “concerned” and not “pissed”. I probably should have expressed myself better, I was a bit low on caffeine when I wrote that. It’s just that some of the words / phrases he used are ones that weasels have used in the past.

Mason

I’m with ya. That was my knee jerk reaction as well.

David

Mason- what are you smoking? They want a federal background check if you want to loan a buddy a gun for an afternoon’s shooting! Plus a 100% registration database for all guns.

26Limabeans

And a fee. Don’t forget the fee.

Mason

I haven’t seen any actual proposals yet, just some talking points about wanting “meaningful background checks”. Which can mean anything really, it’s not a substantive statement.

So this can go a couple ways. First, try for a “bipartisan” bill that fixes the problems in our current, poorly implemented system. Second, a push for a background check bill that the Democrats will hate on principal because it came from Trump (or will give Trump a win). Then going into 2020 Trump and the Republicans can show they tried to fix the system but the Democrats obstructed.

LOL @ moronic single issue voters. You gonna vote Democrat if Trump stops crazies from getting guns?

5th/77th FA

Instead of tweaking their noses with tweets, how about putting the fear of prison and start an investigation into Hitlery et al?

Now THAT would cause some heads to explode!

Fyrfighter

Not only will a plan take time, but timing is everything. Best to drop that hammer when it will have maximum effect

Yef

I don’t know….

If he goes after the 2nd amendment he will lose my vote.

Long time, no see Yef…. hope you’re doing well.

“President Trump has a plan. Investigations have already begun.”

WTF? You’re a Q-tard, aren’t you? Trustin’ the plan, I see.

The second most lazy recon, recon by fire.
Step 1. Receive the Mission
Step 2. Issue a warning order
Step 3. Make a tentative plan
Step 4. Start necessary movement
Step 5. Reconnoiter
Step 6. Complete the plan
Step 7. Issue the complete order
Step 8. Supervise
If the CiC could get through Steps 6-8 I’d give him a huuge ‘go’ at this station.

Can’t wait to hear what Commisar has to say about this 🙄

I’m being cucked again… trying to figure out what to say while holding my Flaccid Micropenis of Truth (my one and only talisman).

Do you need tweezers and a can of pepper for that?

rgr1480

Pepper????

5th/77th FA

‘scuse me for laffing while I wait for someone to ‘splain that pepper to you rgr1480.

Berrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn!

Don’t you have to have a female wife or girlfriend to be cucked? I don’t think letting one of your Antifa buddies have his way with your “rubber lady” counts.

Ex-PH2

Have those so-called debates deteriorated into bitch-slapping contests?

I know that Biden got hammered about something in the last one, but y’know, he’s so S-U-A-V-E that he could win over a wino in an alley out on Rodeo Drive.

Probing fire. Trump has mastered the art.
He may have stumbled upon it but mastered nonetheless.

Speaking of none the Les, how is he doing lately?

Last night, I was watching the Laura Inghram show and two gun guys were speaking. One represented the gun owners of America and the other was for safe gun laws so the one from gun owners says that if back ground checks went into effect, gun owners most likely not vote for Trump. So now they won’t vote for the above which could possibly swing the vote to an anti 2nd pres. who most likely will try and disarm the country. Amazing utterly amazing what these hard core gun rights peeps think. Not saying all of them but I am directing this one to last nights speaker. What is meant by Universal back ground checks I keep hearing about. I’m only familiar with the words back ground checks.

Mason

Universal background checks would extend the current system from requiring a NICS check when you buy from a firearms dealer to all transactions. So want to sell a gun to a friend, give one to your son, or loan one to a buddy? Gotta get an NICS check. With applicable processing fees and bureaucratic waiting times.

The problem is it won’t do anything. The vast majority of guns used in crimes are either bought legally or stolen from those who by them legally.

rgr769

What the progs mean by “universal background checks” is what Commiefornia and a couple of other states have. By state law, every transfer of ownership of any firearm requires the seller and the buyer to go to a licensed firearms dealer and pay a fee for a check of the buyer on the national and state databases to verify the buyer is not prohibited from owning a firearm. It is also used by the state to collect $35 to $50 in fees. The reality is this will have zero effect on random shooting crimes. But it is a great way to build a nationwide data base so the progs can use it for confiscation when they consolidate their power.

11B-Mailclerk

Those checks get registered in a database.

The database in effect says “these folks have a gun”.

That “who has what” data is required to make confiscation feasible.

There is actually federal law prohibiting a “registration” database. The antis want that gone.

This “universal background check” proposal overturns it, and puts in place the registration mechanism required for confiscation.

They have been promising to take guns for decades. They are clearly lying when they say “no we won’t”.

” universal background check” = registration. Soon followed by “turn them in”.

Jeff,
I am thinking about not voting for Trump, as are many other people posting on gun blogs.
The thinking is that when Obama was in power, the Republicans were united in stopping all his anti gun moves.
Now that DJT has banned bump stocks,is encouraging red flag laws, and has spoken out against silencers, all the RINO’s are on board.
Better to have a Dem in power so all the republicans block his anti gun laws.
Instead of the Donald selling us out.
