Armed suspect arrested in attempted break-in

By Donna Thornton
Gadsden police officers responding to an attempted break-in arrested an armed Guntersville man after he hid in the property owner’s vehicle.

Police were called at about 8 p.m. Friday to a home on Scenic Drive, where the resident told them a man showed up on his back porch, beating on the door, yelling to be let in. The man kicked the door and it swung open, but the resident was able to force it closed. The resident went to get his gun and call police.

The intruder went to the front door and tried to get in, then went back to the back door and started beating and kicking it again.

Sgt. Jerome Mitchell arrived on the scene, but the man was nowhere in sight. The resident said he last saw the man in the back yard, and that he might have gone into the woods or toward a neighbor’s house.

One-two-three, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes. The warmer weather usually keeps the weirds and meltdowns inside during the day, so be extra cautious during the evening hours.

If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government that is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.

The crazies are out in force. Is there a full moon? Or some potent drugs on the street?

Ex-PH2

Yes, there is indeed a full moon. It’s also the Dog Days of Summer.

UpNorth

Around here it’s a full moon and the temp hovers around 75 overnight. So glad I retired from the PD years ago, I do not miss running 20-25 calls for service a night.

On that 3rd encounter with an idiot, can someone please tell me why these people can’t remember to lock their vehicle doors?

Claw

Looks like being the “set-up girl” didn’t turn out the way she’d planned. But, Hey, the Aunt says it can’t be her fault, cause she’s the mother of two, just graduated high school and was getting ready to go to cosmetology school to be an out of work hairdresser./s

Anyway, the Whiz Wheel®™ takes a spin and:

Low score. Hardly worth the effort.

“Shot to death and drowned.” Would that be a twofer? Or a FIRST for the FGS? Either way, the taxpayers are the winners. Good on the teenager, keeping his head and taking out the “suspected” burglar.

Reefer…err…err…Riverdale, Clayton County GA. Now THAT’S for sure a sketchy part of town. Latest scam in the metro areas is the on line local personals, solicit for sex and rob the wanna be john. The perps know that the mark will not usually report it. Guess her buddies got a big surprise when john boy pulled his “other piece” out. And yes, not to appear raciss, this is another example of black on black crime.

Beat in/down/open my door, you are gonna get shot, center mass, with a follow up cranial injection. The I’ll call the popo.

“…oblige it to control itself.” Let me know how that works out. Gubmint is as out of control as the gang bangers in Chiraq. The growth has fed on itself. Be interesting to have one of the TAH research ninjas do an article on the growth over the last, say 40 years.

Full moon always brings the crazy ones out. Just ask any LEO, EMT, or emergency room.

If that perp failed in the San Carlos robbery, how come he went into the Pool when he couldn’t even “Pool” the earnings he never aquired from the attempted hold up?????????????? Sure Pooled me.
