By Harve Jacobs
COTTAGEVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) – A judge denied bond Monday afternoon for a Cottageville man who was arrested Sunday after deputies say he shot at people in a cemetery.

Fifty-one year old Sheldon Rhodes was arrested by Colleton County deputies at his home on Sherman Lane and charged with four counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

A judge denied bond on the attempted murder charges, but set bond at $10,000 on the weapon charge.

Four people went to the graveyard to lay flowers on their loved ones graves and one of them moved some logs that were blocking the entrance, an incident report states.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms has been recognized by the General Government; but the best security of that right after all is, the military spirit, that taste for martial exercises, which has always distinguished the free citizens of these States….Such men form the best barrier to the liberties of America — Gazette of the United States, October 14, 1789.

Another winning start to the day; two (2) less parasites on society and a nut case off the streets. FTA it appears as if Rhodes was rode hard and put up wet. Wonder who’ll take his place in the choir?

Nice little Kahr hidey away. Got one…err, had one in a 40 cal, you know, till the tornado came thru. Big enough to do the job, small enough to easily cc. Accurate as all hell too.

Note to ChipNASA, we finally got a 2nd and an AYE on Foti. You are cleared hot for multiple passes of the CoI for that POS! The deployment of the CoI ALWAYS makes me feel good!

Glad you had a Kahr that worked. I mentioned in the past about the Kahr PM .45 3 in. barrel I bought at Delray shooting center, Fl. back in around 2008-09 or a little later. before I made the purchase, the sales person told me that the gun had a very strong recoil spring and going against better judgement, I bought the gun because of it’s narrow frame. I didn’t want to shoot it right away so I took it home and checked it out and the spring being so strong, I had to put on a pair of those gloves with the little round rubber dots on the gloves palm. I was working out at the time and even with the chest excersizes, the chest muscles took a beating. I went back to the range the following Saturday to try it out and had to use the gloves to rack the slide. After a couple of rounds went through, the mag. fell out then fell out again when I fired the gun. I made the gun safe to show the salesman when I noticed a square piece from the back of the slide was missing and found it on the floor. I took it out of the range and showed it to the owners son who right away wanted to give me my money back but I decided on a swap and got the Springfield XDSC 3.3 In. barrel in .40. The son gave me a look like I may have dropped it on the floor but a camera would have shown no soap if he checked it out. I bought a few guns from them but it was one of the most unfriendly gun store/ranges I dealt with. It didn’t occur to me that if I had to use those gloves at home and at the range, I would be in deep caca if I had to use it on the outside in a deadly force type of situation. I called a member of the Freeport NY Police range where I was a member of the ranges club when I lived in Long Beach NY and talked to him about the Kahr and he told me that at that point in time, Kahr had a quality control Issue. I called on a Sunday from LBFD Station 1 after drill and one of the Vollies whom was a CO at the Nassau County Jail heard the conversation and mentioned to me that a couple of the CO’S had Kahr problems at the time.

Looks like Mr Morgan was finally cured of his addiction to alcohol and tobacco. And all it took was the high speed injection of a little tiny pill……made of copper and lead.

Not sure “none in the wind” applies when whoever drove the Texas getaway car is uncaught.

    • J.R. Johnson says:

Agree with David in theory…just not in grammar. One in the wind, as an accomplish in the Grand Prairie incident!

A daily favorite of mine. Always ends the same way. Even better when it’s the ex BF.
