Band of Mothers vs. IVAW in Crystal Lake, IL

| March 12, 2009

I got an email from Bev Pearlson of Band of Mothers who led a group of supporters to an IVAW event. I thought ya’all’d like to her in action;

From the beginning, Joe and I bordered on being thrown out continuously. It was 3 strikes and you’re out and we must have had 15 strikes all night. One fellow made me “pinky promise” to be good (can you believe that) and I made the pinky promise but never kept it. Joe probed and interrupted as these whiners went on, and his probes were appropriate and illuninating. The poor whiners were extremely frustrated because Joe would not allow the lies. Thank you Joe. I think Joe did leave the room finally but he came back in. There wasn’t anyone big enough to remove Joe if Joe didn’t want to go and that really has nothing to do with his size.

When they were done with their sad stories, then there was question and answer. Joe basically told them they were a sorry lot and they never should have joined the military and it was despicable what they were doing to the Gold Star Families. Things got heated and they took the mic from him. Yours truly was up next and I finally got to shove their liberals leaders down their throats, in front of 48 bleeding heart liberals in the audience there soaking up their pity party.

They told me they would call the Police and I told them go right ahead, I’m not leaving they’ll have to take me away. I guess they decided it would not be cool to arrest a Blue Star Mom.

All together, we had a great showing, about 35 folks showed up for us! Thank You Minutemen and Soldiers Guardian Angels!!!!!!!

Sounds like a good time was had by all.

The IVAW threatened to call the police?

ROFLMAO!

Look at the audience. Looks like Grand Parents Day at IVAW Middle School.

It’s the old hippies reliving the 60s.

I met Beverly Perlson at Eagles Muster last year. She’s a courageous lady, somebody I wouldn’t cross. I believe her son has served 4 tours in Iraq. She dressed down Medea Benjamin at the Walter Reed Freep, the day before Eagles Muster!

KUDOS to Beverly Perlson and all of those who stood with her at this “event”. I have such great respect for her and all that she has done on behalf of our military personnel and their families. She’s a gem.

Can I just say I have seen this crazy women going around acting like she actually makes a difference. Maybe you should stop and listen to what these people have to say, you may actually learn something. Just because you don’t agree does not mean you yell your opinion over them. If you were my mom, I would be embarrassed. As someone who has proudly served it is disgusting how you treat people based on their political views. They aren’t discrediting anyone, they are telling you what they felt and what they believe. I don’t particularly agree but that doesn’t give me the right to silence others. Shut up and stop acting like a lunatic.

Damn…I’m not going to touch this one! Maybe you ladies will want to get this lost soul on the path to redemption…

LOL Airborne 😉 Cat fighting must be the soup du jour this week. Well, at least Megyn Kelly and Britney Spears don’t hide behind anonymous names.

#5, might I suggest that you know your subject BEFORE you spout off? Bev’s an incredible lady with an incredible passion. You’d probably do well to have something to be that energized about too.

Why Should I listen to people who have not been in Iraq when I am in country seeing things first hand? It is more then just not agreeing with them, they are omitting to outright lying about what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan. I doubt that it can be pitched that this is just opinions when the IVAW is posting for these things that they are telling;

“the hard truth about what is really on happening on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan,”

Yea, if you cannot back it up then do not say anything.

I still think she is crazy and needs to stop acting like people are traitors. Let them speak their mind, its their right. She has a right to speak too but first you need to stop and listen to others.
