Two Sailors Convicted for Manufacturing Drugs on Base
Reading about a couple of Sailors, assigned to what might be a “choice” assignment, going “plaid” with “the stupid”. This meme is apropos. (r/The_Donald/)
Morgan Elizabeth Henson manufactured ecstasy and LSD with the intent to distribute them. She emptied pill capsules, then filled them with ecstasy. She was sentenced to half a year confinement, reduced to E-1, and was awarded the big chicken dinner.
She wasn’t alone. Jeffrey D. Smalls also manufactured ecstasy, and filled empty pill capsules with this drug. For his efforts, he was awarded 90 days confinement and reduced to E-1. Both Sailors were assigned to a drone squadron.
From the Navy Times:
Among the charges to which she pleaded guilty, Henson copped to manufacturing LSD and ecstasy on Naval Base Ventura County in October 2017, drugs she intended to distribute, according to charge sheets.
The Arizona native also pleaded guilty to LSD distribution at the same time and to possession of both drugs.
Henson also pleaded guilty to bringing the drugs on the Navy base in 2017 and to emptying pill capsules and filling them with ecstasy, according to court records.

I have to wonder what passes for smarts and common sense when I read stories such as this. She’s what? Less than 20 y/o and her future is laid out for her and it’s not the one she wanted. She better hope there’s a menial job that hasn’t been or won’t be taken over by a robot. The fast food places are going the way of kiosks for ordering and I don’t see why a robot in a few years (now ?) couldn’t also make a happy meal. But … I feel nothing for her. Play stupid games, etc.
Let’s see, Counter Help is being replaced by kiosks, burger-making robots are a reality now, but there’s still Dishwasher and Janitor available, but in most places one has to pass a Drug Test for that as well! Good luck getting any kind of decent job with a Big Chicken Dinner, maybe Day Labor with some “Rent-a-Drunk” Agency.

Now seriously, if she was actually “manufacturing” it that takes some pretty serious brain cells, I’d imagine as you’d have to buy the chemicals and to chemistry stuff and all that to make LSD.
Now, on the other hand, if she was already buying it liquid or something and “manufacturing” meant putting it on paper or something than yeah, I’m buying that route of thinking.

I’m a retired Chemical Dependency RN (30 years in San Franciso & Wisconsin)and I have 1st hand knowledge (yes, from the late 1960s) concerning the manufacturing of LSD-25 and MDA (which is the “The Mother” of MDMA or Ecstacy/”Molly”). These 3 illicit substances that are very difficult to make, unlike Methamphetamine which can be made in a 1.5-liter bottle by a guy who’s elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top.
Just like non FDA approved suppliments, they buy premade capsules and fill them with pulverized ingredients.
So all this genius needs to manage is to find a source of lowgrade LSD or ecstacy. smash it up in a baggie and fill individual capsules. This way it looks less recognizable as an illegal drug.
So these dudes that got caught are not chemist, they’re just dipshits who can’t even manage to hide a low end drug operation / habit.

Back in 78 I got picked for Sea School right out of ITS and when we got to San Diego we had to line up with our sea bags for the drug dogs. A dog alerted on my bag and I got interogated and pressed that things would go better if I confessed before they searched my shit.
Scared the crap out of me because I had just watched them frog march a guy into an MP van for a couple of joints. The only thing they found in my stuff was an open bag of Fritos. …I caught some shit for that too but made it through Sea School with several demerits to spare!
I guess I cant understand selling illegal drugs anywhere let alone in the military. I would be so paranoid I would be miserable not to mention feeling the shame of being a drug dealer.
