“The justice system worked,” Murder Charges Dropped Against Alma Woman After She Shoots Boyfriend.
By: Katie Davila
VAN BUREN, Ark. (KNWA) – An Alma woman will not be charged with murder after shooting and killing her boyfriend. Crawford County prosecutor Marc McCune says he found it was justified that Miranda Resinos shot and killed her boyfriend Kevin Gettridge.“Today we are happy and feel the justice system worked,” says Carrie Jernigan, Resinos’ lawyer.
Residos’ defense team, Settle and Jernigan, PLLC says this was not a murder case but a fight to stay alive amid domestic violence.
“They have to make a split second decision on the night or day something happens. And while she was arrested that night, the investigation was just getting started. They conducted a very extensive and throughout the investigation,” says Jernigan.
Resinos was arrested March 1 after she says her boyfriend became belligerent and hostile towards her. According to the affidavit, she asked him to leave or she would get her gun but that did not make Gettridge back off. When she returned with the gun things escalated.

Three strikes, Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, and they are out. A mid-week Trifecta, three down, and none locked up or strapped down, and none reported on the fly. The world is a bit safer today, but that’s no excuse to slack off- Condition Yellow is a good place to be. If unsure of what that means, Col. Cooper will explain all.
Relax, guys. Air Force Airman Vanessa Dobos has overwatch. She can bring on the pain.

3/0/0, HOT DAMN!!!
A Trifecta FGS Thursday, what more could you ask for? Good shooting people, good shooting!
“They bought a souped-up jitney, it was a cherry red ’53
And drove it down to New Orleans to celebrate their anniversary
It was there where Pierre was wedded to the lovely mademoiselle
C’est la vie say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell”
3/0/0, trifecta, big win. Why does someone stupidly assault a woman on the street, literally, any more if she is carrying a purse the odds are getting more and more that there might be something in it that is deter mental to your immediate health. If she says she is going to get her gun do a mental check list, do you know for sure she has one, does she know how to use it, if answer to both is yes, don’t let the door hit you in the ass. Best thing after that is never go back as that was her warning shot. Due to his history, maybe he has heard about a gun before but turned out to be empty threat. in this case dirt nap proved him wrong. 73 and still up and kicking, 33 and dirt nap, old man with gun versus surprised young man with gun and stupidity, old man wins, time to be more careful around old people, oh wait, now I be one. Time to go out to the corral and see if Jughead and A/H are ready to get hitched to the wagon for money run, this other hired help here are easily distracted by a pretty face. I’d say if one got on the wrong side of Vanessa, the best place to be is under what looks like a copter.
Re: overwatch
Turn it up! Bring the NOISE!
Always a happy day when I read reports of a senior citizen putting lead into an offender in support of truth, justice, and the American way! Stay safe out there jitney drivers of the USA.
Imagine getting smoke by a 73 year old. 🤣🤣🤣
And your point is
The future is now old man!
Looks like it wasn’t much of a future for the perp.
Us old bastards are too tired to run, too old to fistfight and sick and tired of the bull shit from pretty much anyone…
Hence, we will shoot you, you will die…
3/0/0….
A great day in the annals of FGS.
I have one of the RangerUP t-shirts emblazoned with their Old Man Club logo which prudently advises: “BEWARE THE OLD MAN in a world where men die young.”
They have another one which states something to the effect that us oldsters frequently win by cunning and treachery.
“Nothing could be better, than to have 3 or more deader in the morning.” Be some bonus bucks for us Outcast, bring the big and the little wagon.
Two more truths shown by today’s reports. FIRST; Ladies you do not have to put up with dirtbag abusers and you should never let one come back around once they shows those abusive tendencies.
(2nd) Age and experience will overcome youth and exuberance every time. At 73, there’s not much you haven’t seen, and if the case doesn’t quite go your way, how long can a life sentence be?
I gogo loco for Dobos. Beat me, hurt me, make me feel cheap.
Got to put hitch on big wagon so can pull little one behind, be a few minutes. Also A/H was acting like a Jackass that he is so had to smack him a couple times to get him straightened out.
Vanessa Dobos can beat me, whip me and make me write bad checks!
Thursday TRIFECTA!! Perfection
That is a pretty Air Force lady.
My 17 year old daughter wants to join the Navy.
I’m trying to steer her towards the Air Force.
I thought Air Force persons spent all their time in air conditioned offices
Now that I see that they also get to shoot miniguns out of helicopters, I am even more anxious for her to join the Air Force!
Navy has ’em too- just a bit after my time. I had to settle for the Pig.
That’s supposed to be pretty Air Force lady

Nature of the site. The occasional wandering Admin may take mercy and fix it for you, but don’t count on it.
Unlike the other services, the USAF does not have a beach Bikini uniform and what you see is what you get, looks a heck of a lot better than the majority of the ones I seen in uniform in 60’s and early 70’s but then I never worked at headquarters.
Thanks!
For the benefit of those who are not gun-nutz, the pistol in the photo above is the Walther CP-99, a semi-auto striker fired double action pistol in 9mm caliber.
Hate to admit it, but I was wrong. The pic is of an air gun that shoots BB’s it is marketed under the Walther name and is made by Umarex. It looks almost exactly like the compact version of the Walther P99. (Note to kids and feral pavement dwellers: Don’t point this at a cop or someone armed with an actual firearm, cuz you will likely be shot by something in 9mm or larger caliber, which could put you in the TAH trifecta.)
I’ll not argue, but I will state it was not my intention to spoof anyone with a realistic BB gun. Fooled me, just a pic on the interwebs. So good eyes, rgr769.
My strong point is attention to detail. But every now and then I make a mistake because I jump to unwarranted conclusions.
We all do, amigo. We all do.
When such errors happen, those with class admit their errors.
I once had a Walther CP-88. It keep me from going bazerk after having back surgery. When I first saw it in the glass case at my local gun shop I was certain it was a 9mm. I just had to have it. The grip contained the CO2 cartridge and the slide moved forward to receive a small cylinder that held 8 pellets.
Close the slide and move the safety to fire and it could be fired either single or double action. Safety also acted as a decocker. I have lost track of who I loaned to to last and I really miss it.
