Fatal stabbing ruled self-defense

From Staff Reports
GREENVILLE — The Greenville Police Department on Friday announced it would not file charges in a Jan. 19 stabbing death that occurred during a gathering on Chestnut Street.

The death of Lamont Junior Parker, 37, of Rocky Mount was the result of self-defense, the department reported in a news release issued Friday afternoon.

Parker was stabbed shortly before 6 p.m. at 1105-A Chestnut St. in Greenville, the department reported at the time.

Responding officers found Parker suffering from wounds when they arrived. Parker was transported to Vidant Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

The release said it appears Parker was attending the gathering when a dispute erupted. The dispute turned into a physical altercation during which Parker was stabbed, the release said.

Men stop, pull gun on alleged kidnapper in Natchitoches Parish

By: Melissa Gregory
Two men helped to rescue a woman, one pulling a gun on her alleged kidnapper Wednesday morning in Natchitoches Parish, according to a release.

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Clydell Lee Jefferson Jr., 41, after he turned himself in to the Red River Parish Sheriff’s Office around noon. He remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center without bond on charges of kidnapping and aggravated assault.

A release states that Jefferson had given the victim, described as his domestic partner, a ride to a bank. But the two got into an argument, and Jefferson allegedly used a shock device on the woman and bound her hands with zip ties.

She was able to escape him not long after. However, he shocked her again and tightened the ties, reads the release.

Jefferson then drove toward Campti and to La. Highway 9, “where she believed she was being taken to a remote location and feared for her life,” it reads.

Not too shabby Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes- 1 / 2 / 1, with one mort, two inconvenienced, and one in the wind this Sunday. ‘Cause there’s no day of rest for criminals.

UPDATE

With NavyChief’95’s comment the tally has been updated to 2 / 4 / 1 with two morts, four inconvenienced, and one still in the wind. I’m counting the 16 y/o as inconvenienced, but expect her to be released soon.
Thanks, Chief!

Toxic Deplorable B Woodman

Saw the mug shot of the perp.

Outcast

Yep, sad because no new hole in body to establish cred in bar city.

Tallywhagger

That’s pretty close to where Bonnie & Clyde concluded their story.

Too bad he didn’t have an opportunity to hide in the swamp for a day or so.

We’ll take it. It may turn into a trifecta soon. The LA perp may run into the dark side at the BTJ&T Deli, the TX case may get a fatal staph infection, and his in the wind buddy will show back up, eventually if not sooner.

High 70s today, with threat of tornados. 40s tonight, high 60s tomorrow into the 20s by Monday pm. Middle GA, home of the all four seasons in one day weather belt.

Nice gun pr0n. Appears to have everything you need except the clip thingie; I see a flippy thingie in the back, a laser beamer, and what looks like a chainsaw bayonet attachment. Oh, and it’s scary black. I want one!

They say -10 with wind factor here and only going into the 20’s. Between 3 and 4 in snow, shoveling cut short as neighbor on corner used snow blower on last 10 yards of mine here, usually I manage to do mine and around his corner lot. Oh well on with other chores, KP next.

“Nice gun”

I thought it was a Dewalt finish nailer in black.

Roh-Dog

With a built in radio, handwarmer and level bubbles.
Too bad the batteries are proprietary and on backorder until 2021.
The Milwaukee one cost $10 less but will only last half as long.

26Limabeans

Mine is air and has a bottle opener.

MI Ranger

I like the 8-function Multi-tool for $9.99, but what is a gaydar? It looks like one of those things the guy in the Natchitoches Parish story probably used. This add must be from up north, ’cause we have to pay much more for nice useful knives!

For some reason, the 18 yo adult who survived supposedly admitted to jumping the 16 yo child. But the 16 yo is still being held on suspicion of murder. Our new DA is a George Soros “appointee”.

That thing is about the size of an average Maine Moose. Probly a lot smarter though.

Tallywhagger

You could make a fine sausage from ‘gator and Moose. It damn sure would not taste like chicken!

Well, I kind’a like fish sticks and they are a lot less work.
