Officials: Jonesville shooting death in May was self-defense
By Conor Hughes
The man who fired the fatal shots in a May 2018 shooting in Jonesville was acting in self-defense, prosecutors have said, and he will not be charged in relation to the death. On May 13, Jonesville police found 38-year-old Kenneth Bruce George Jr., of Spartanburg, lying dead on the walkway leading to an Alman Street house with a bullet wound in his torso and leg.
Police said Qusay Yusus Thomas, 40, of 309 Alman St., fired the bullets that killed him.
John Anthony, a deputy solicitor with the 16th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, said the facts of the case indicate Thomas shot George to protect himself.

No arrest made immediately after fatal shooting
Amy Macavinta staff writer
Police say they will not be making an immediate arrest following a shooting that took place in a Logan home and left one man dead early Friday morning.Capt. Tyson Budge said 23-year-old Dylan Milian was shot in the chest at about 6:35 a.m. at a home on Riverbend Road where his former girlfriend, Jordan Oakden, lives with 26-year-old Jeremy Boyle and his mother.
According to police, Milian showed up at the home and was making threats after communicating via text message with Oakden earlier in the morning.
Budge said she offered to take Milian to work in an attempt to defuse the situation, but when she went outside to start the car, he apparently entered the residence and was shot by Boyle, Budge said.
The two women inside the home attempted CPR, which was continued by Logan police and emergency responders, but Millian was pronounced dead a short time later.

Elizabeth City police say it happened in the 400 block of Bell Street around 6:30 a.m.
They say Tyrell Johnson came into the home through a back door and was confronted by the homeowner who ended up shooting him twice.

Morning Delta Whiskies and Whiskettes, a fair showing with a score of 2 / 1 / 0; two tagged and bagged, one trying to remember if he has health insurance, and no other reported instances of douchebaggery. But you know they’re out there, plotting to get some ill gotten gains.

Ok, without looking it up…..
Which way do you turn the knob?
CCW or CW?
Wanna bet your life on it?
Do you feel lucky punk?
Well do ya’?
Can’t believe no one has answered this yet.
Right- CW.
Been looking for a.357 for sometime. The SP301, pictured, is a better price than a 686 or a 60. The 686 is still my first choice, with 4″ bbl.
There is a used GP100 avilable for $599 but I think it may be a 6″ bbl. Six inch is a wee bit large for concealed carry.
My concealed carry is an LCR in .357 with laser grips.
Fired it once with .357 (ouch).
Fired it five times with 38 +P (ouch x 5).
Settled on 38 special HP.
Laser grips suck. Gonna toss them.
May go back to the pre war 1911A1.
Who cares if it makes me limp.
FIRST let me state that a Saturday FGS Score of 2-1-0 pays off at a 1.69 to 1 at the window. And who knows, the other dirt bag may catch a nice staph infection, bringing the score up to 3-0-0.
And I will be FIRST to remind the ladies out there you do not have to suffer from PMS (putting up with men’s shit). Shoot them FIRST @ Center Mass and shoot till they are down.
And finally, a reminder that the FIRST Gospel according to Brother John Moses Browning (Howitzer be his name) is found in the good book of REV 19:11.
“the good book of REV 19:11”
I will cast off the false composite material of Satan and hold firmly to that which Brother Moses has bestowed upon me. So help me God.
After I clean it and test a few mags.
I have a bad one that hangs on the first round and need to flesh it out.
Like the 165gr HP.
Yeah, just bought the other half a S&W 38 Special “Body Guard”.
Got it at the PX gun shop during the holidays (10% off, ‘cause it was the holidays + another 5% ‘cause I used my Star card). Got off easy, with 2 boxes of ammo, 1 speedloader, and the pistol at $369.
The other half loves it.
Got home and went online to SGAmmo and bought 200 rounds of 110 grain Hydra-Shock for a little over $100 on sale.

I still have my Smith & Wesson 9 and still love it.
I bought a Kimber Custom II 1911 and probably paid too much.
The sights were misaligned when they left the factory so I ordered a set of Dawson Precision fiber optic non-adjustable sight package.
Love it. It’s a beautiful weapon and it shoots right down the middle with my usage causing any missed shots.
Nice feel to it and it’s a heavy full size gun, which is what I like, kind of like a woman…
Love my 686. The trigger is the gold standard for OEM revolvers, and just gets better with use.
Save the extra shekels and get the S&W. You won’t regret it.
The fun factor cannot be ignored, either. At the range, everyone is shooting 9mm or .380, with the occasional .40S&W or .45ACP. Light off a .357 Mag round and grin.
I think you’re right. Get the one that you really want and you won’t have to do it again.
If you can find one, The Ruger Security Six and Speed Six are good guns. They are the predecessor to the GP series.
If you stay away from max loads, they will outlive several owners.
I carried a stainless Security Six quite a bit, and shot it a quite bit, and it was utterly reliable.
My first wheel gun was a Security Six. I do think it could pull duty as a framing hammer, if needed, and still shoot just fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with it a gunsmith can’t fix. For around $200USD.
I tought that one pictured (above) was a Ruger GP100.
It is a good day’s work when there are none of the miscreants in the wind.
