In the air. So wrong for so many reasons…
Homeowner shoots in air, scares off burglar at his Central West End home

Author: Rico Bush
ST. LOUIS — A Central West End homeowner is so fed up with crime at his home he took on a guy trying to break into his home.

And it was caught on his home surveillance video.

“This guys is a pro. He brought tools. He has been coming back,” Brian Elsesser said.

In the four years, Elsesser has lived in his home in the Central West End he said his place has been broken into constantly.

We’ve been burglarized so many times in the last few years. It’s a very similar set of circumstances,” he said.

Last Tuesday, it happened again. Elsesser said he and his wife were inside their home on McPherson Avenue when his dog started barking something in his backyard. So he went out to his garage to check out the unusual noise.

“The dogs went crazy and we heard a little chime,” he said. “I get to right about here [garage door] and I see the door open and then shut.”

His home surveillance video showed a thief in his garage. The camera then showed the man looking around for several items.

“I went for the door, kicked it and open it and got in like this and I heard him drop something metal,” he told 5 on your side.

So he said he backed away and took out his gun. He then fired two shots in the air to scare off the would be thief.

Parma officer and vigilante converge on suspect, leading to shooting and chase (dashcam)

By John Deike and Brian Duffy
PARMA, OH (WOIO) – A frenetic chain of events unfolded in Parma on Tuesday night when an officer and a vigilante converged on a suspect’s car, leading to a shooting and police chase.

According to Parma Police, an officer pulled over a suspect — Shon Burton, 22, of Cleveland — at Snowville Shopping Center for driving erratically and running a red light.

As Burton came to a stop, the vigilante — a concealed carry gun owner, driving a Jeep — blocked the suspect’s car in an attempt to help the officer.

The suspect rammed the Jeep and nearly hit the officer, leading the gun owner to open fire on Burton.

Burton fled, later crashed his car at Brookpark and Tiedeman Roads, and was caught and arrested at a nearby Sam’s Club.

Even spread today, Delta Whiskeys and Whiskettes; 1 / 1 / 1 one in the morgue’s chill chest, one getting three hots and a cot at taxpayer expense, and one in the wind to continue stealing from honest people; should have been a 2 / 1 / 0 day, but so it goes.

“Homeowner shoots in air, scares off burglar”

So the homeowner enters the garage armed and fire shots into the air. The perp then runs off. How so? Did he run past the homeowner?
Stupid homeowner. No wonder he keeps getting robbed.

SFC D

Warning shots are to be fired center of mass. As are the subsequent warning shots.

In re: article the 2nd: “man confronted his girlfriend and her friend…”

While the entire article is written in a confused way, this is just plain bad writing, because the “reporter” (and Sister Mary Grace uses that term very loosely) does not distinguish between EX-boyfriend and current boyfriend, resulting in confused readers.

Which is the boyfriend and which is the ex-boyfriend?

Too early for Scotch with shredded wheat.

Outcast

“at some point, the suspect’s (?) gun discharged, striking the victim.” Ok total confusion here now, gun discharged, must be new automatic weapon designed to go off when it feels like it as apparently nobody is mentioned to have fired it, no mention of any struggle between victim and suspect but then this is confusing as suddenly the guy who was attacking, becomes the victim, I always thought this was the suspect, and the guy who supposedly has a gun and is in the car with the real Victim (women) becomes the suspect when he tries to defend her. real concise confusion in the report. Now if you don’t mind I need to go check my grand pappy’s muzzle loader in the attic to see if it is loaded, can’t have it discharge by it self.

I’ve had my gun discharge on it’s own before. It was caused by an involuntary vascular reaction, brought on by external stimuli. Maybe IDC SARC can explain why. I understand he has extensive training on vascular reactions.

My rifles, pistols, shotguns, muzzleloaders, and breechloaders only shoot off when the bugger hook is depressed on the bang switch.

We shoulda had another Triple Crown. SOB in my garage, inside my fence, rummaging thru my stuff in the dark; His burglary career just came to a screeching halt. That’s 1.

Phoenix story??? dahell?? Dead dirt bag best I can tell. That’s 2.

Parma story: Range time dumbass. If you gonna carry and become a vigilante, gun control means hitting your target. That shoulda been 3.

Good thing my winnings were so good from the past several days. Thanks Nathan whatever your name is. Still have more coming in from when the boys in the video vote for the Trumpster in 2020. And who knows, the Parma perp may have been hit and bled out on his way to choir practice.

David

Two clean misses in the first story. Second story is a hot mess of who did what. And in the third…wtf is some vigilante doing interfering in an arrest? And then firing a gun? Methinks charges may be coming there.

Harry

Thise shots in the air have to land somewhere. Idiot.
