Illegals a law unto themselves in California cop-killing case
The family of Gustavo Perez Arriaga, a 32-year-old illegal alien, helped him evade police and attempted to help smuggle him across the United States-Mexico border after he allegedly murdered 33-year-old Newman, California, police officer Ronil Singh, federal documents allege.
Here’s a compound article from our very own Poetrooper. The first part is an American Thinker article by Monica Showalter, and she refers to a Breitbart article, and then continues with her own. Without further ado:
As the killing of a Newman, Calif. police officer demonstrates, illegal immigration is hardly a single crime.

The day after Christmas, Singh pulled Arriaga over on suspicion of drunk driving. That’s when police say the illegal alien shot Singh. Over his police radio, Singh called out “shots fired,” and as police arrived at the scene of the traffic stop, they found the officer with a gunshot wound.
Singh was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died, leaving behind his wife Anamika and their newborn five-month-old son.
The Breitbart report, citing police sources, shows that seven family members of this alleged shooter were right there at the ready to help him evade any responsibility for his actions, and there was a human-smuggler there to help, too. It seemed to happen like clockwork. One might have helped him steal the gun from Washington State and apparently lied to the cops about it; another allegedly covered up a bullet hole in Arriaga’s pickup that was left there after the murder; one packed three changes of clothing for the alleged cop-killer so as to escape in comfort; one drove him to a relative’s house in Stockton so as to wait the matter out (apparently, they were thrown out by some relatives who wanted no truck with the law, though I don’t see any evidence they called the cops); one disposed of the murder weapon; one transported the alleged cop-killer elsewhere; one tricked a relative into a loan for the getaway, via the human-smuggler who got the whole group into the U.S. in the first place; one bought him a new cell phone; one brought a new change of clothes; and someone wired five hundred bucks for the escape.
All this in the course of Arriaga’s two days on the run. Supposedly, he’s a gang member, but the evidence here suggests that his gang is his family. And surprise, surprise: This group that acted with such military precision is all here illegally.
These are the people the media idolizes with sob stories in their bid to ensure open borders. These are the people House speaker Nancy Pelosi waxes poetic about regarding their “souls.” These are the people leftist judges refuse to sentence on account of the potential for their being deported afterward, creating one set of laws for Americans and another for foreigners. These are the people Democrats would like to have citizenship with voting rights, as well as hand out free health care to in California itself.
Poe had some rhetorical questions in his e-mail about prison, deportation, and the family’s children. My short answer is, if the parents are deported, easy. Take them with, and goodbye. If the parents are convicted they go to jail, and the kids can either go live with legal relatives on this side of the border, if any, or sent to their country of origin and let the authorities there sort it out.
And of course it’s Trump’s fault.

Surely we are not the only Americans who can see and read these articles? What is it going to take to wake up the parasitic professional politicians to the destruction of our Republic?
Oops, my bad. I forgot. The destruction of our Republic is exactly what the parasitic professional politicians want. If you need me, I’ll be in the basement with charles w.
Shoot them all in the head, send the kids back to relatives in Mexico.. problem solved
Dispicable group of people. They all deserve the worst possible torture.
At least Jerry Brown can’t pardon them.
No he can’t, but “Any-twosome” Newsome will take care of that, now that he is the new governor of Commiefornia aka Mexifornia.
He did such a great job in San Francisco, with the streets occupied by the homeless and filled with feces and used syringes. At lest they’re safe from plastic drinking straws.
Single payer health care is next on his agenda. That’s a great way to break the backs of the middle class, who will pay for it in increased taxes.
Excerpt from Newsom’s inaugural speech. He “will offer an alternative to the corruption and incompetence in the White House.”
They fight the federal government so much the last two years, I’m surprised they just don’t try to secede.
And he called his wife the “First Partner” as opposed to the First Lady. It’s hard to take someone that does that seriously.
There’s some deep irony behind the Gavin Newsom Wind-up Action Figure. When his string is pulled and he proclaims, “Let’s fight global warming!” or “Cap and Trade!” it should be remembered that his entire political fortune has been dependent on money that originated with the J. Paul Getty oil fortune.
A few days ago there also ran an interesting piece by Dan Walters about how Newsom has been able to benefit from ties involving his direct family relationship to Jerry Brown, Nancy Pelosi and others:

The people (leftist) that promote this type of ideology (open borders, free everything) are the same type of people myself and alot of other men and women were prepared to take a bullet for to stop that kind of thought (communism) in days gone by. Strange, isn’t it?
And the same type of people who’s leaders have high fences and private security (or taxpayer funded security) to protect them.
When I was a cop in Hawaii, I ran into plenty of families just like these clowns.
It wasn’t well known cause, for the most part, the crimes were all relatively minor stuff.
If the crime was murder, they would have done anything for family to avoid justice. And it would have taken a crime as serious as that for the justice system to hold the families accountable.
It strikes me as a peculiar form of insanity that we should be discussing whether or not entering this nation illegally or remaining here illegally ought to be actionable at law. Doing either of those things is a crime and those who encourage, enable, harbor and protect these criminals are, if not equally guilty, then nearly so. I am not talking about the family of the murdering bastard featured here. I am talking about sanctuary states, cities, and counties that give illegal aliens refuge in opposition to our national interest and security. Tonight, President Trump will be retaking the narrative put forth and repeated, ad nauseum, by the media regarding those who daily sneak and slither across our southern border. It is not an issue of humanitarianism. It is not an issue of kindness. It is an issue of national security, of our being a nation of laws and that our immigration laws must be honored and must be enforced. In the president’s view, a wall on our border will help accomplish those things. Towards that end, he has asked Congress to allocate additional funding. It has, thus far, refused to do so. That’s not a Trump problem. That’s a Congress problem.
A fine point, but one the Dems like to toss around- it is indeed a violation of federal immigration law to remain in the country without legal authorization, but this violation is punishable by civil penalties, not criminal.
It still is a deportation offense, and should of course be strictly enforced.
Hope Trump cuts through the BS tonight, calls a national emergency, and uses those funds to secure the border.
You are right that illegally being in this country is a civil issue. Of course, it rarely (if ever) is the only legal matter arising from a foreign national’s being here without authorization. There'[s the original entry which itself may have been a crime. If not, there’s the number of false statements he likely made in remaining here which may be crimes. The falsehoods may have come from school-loan applications or acceptance of school-loan funds or a work permit or job application or Federal assistance or this or that. There will always be associated crimes but, you are correct: remaining here illegally is a civil matter.
And Nancy Pelosi says that having a wall to help mitigate these things from happening is immoral…..
The Arriaga Family: The Face of the New Democratic Party.
Officer Ronil Singh, may the Lord bless you and your family. A grateful nation mourns your sacrifice.
I’m sure weepy-eyed Jimmy Kimmel will have Anamika Singh on his show to talk about her and her late husband’s experiences as immigrants and how she’s coping with her sudden status as a single mother since this career-criminal son of a bitch widowed her any minute now, right? Oh yeah, I forgot, they’re the wrong kind of brown and the murderer wasn’t white, so Hollyweird and the left don’t give a fuck about them.
And former Gov. Brown sticks his fingers in his ears, yells “Moonbeam! Moonbeam!” and then says as sincerely as he can, that sanctuary laws played no part in Officer Singh’s murder.
Start executing these fuckers on the news and see how long that shit lasts.
Just. Do. It.
There are a couple of implications in the American Thinker piece which could use a fact check. As far as I’m aware, there’s no evidence Arriaga entered the country illegally at the same time as the rest of his family. What argues against such a thing is that he was deported at least twice prior to his current murder arrest.
The fact that Arriaga had help from family and co-workers also doesn’t alter evidence he had apparently been involved in activities of the Sureños gang who is affiliated with the so-called Mexican Mafia prison group. Both the Sureños and its rival the Norteños have, according to law enforcement, been active in California for generations.
In the interest of accuracy, it might also be pointed out that it isn’t just California latinos such as Kevin “Sanctuary State” de Leon driving the open-border effort. In a story published yesterday in The Intercept, an NYC writer named Max Rivlin-Nadler, formerly of Gawker, reveals confidential Customs and Border Patrol training documents which were the result of an FOIA demand by the ACLU. Such documents, now revealed, are what amounts to a comprehensive guide for illegal alliens on how not to get arrested by ICE and CBP:

As mentioned in prior comments, one of the bigger problems with the open-border discussion is that the globally-focused news media likes to suggest what amounts to how every other country in the world wants the U.S. to have open borders, but never seem to mention the border policies of those same other countries. Mexican immigration law is a good example.
Another example is that the The Intercept story was picked up almost immediately and noted in a post by Cory Doctorow at Boing Boing. What’s left unsaid is that Doctorow is an open-border advocate because he’s a Canadian. It might also be mentioned that The Intercept itself is run by Glenn Greenwald who lives in Brazil and has had U.S. immigration issues involving his husband.
