President Trump to Speak During Prime Time

| January 8, 2019

President Trump plans to address the U.S. during prime time tonight. Then, he plans to travel to the border to talk with personnel involved with border security. President Trump intends to keep the partial shutdown in effect until he gets funding for the border wall.

President Trump is also hinting on putting another item on the table in order to talk about ending the shutdown.

From Fox News:

Meanwhile, a source said no further meetings to discuss the shutdown were planned in the foreseeable future.

Trump also suggested he would rather wait until the Supreme Court rules on the legality of his administration’s pullback of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program before negotiating with Democrats on the issue as part of the talks to end the shutdown.

Several federal judges have held that the Trump administration’s reasons for terminating DACA were legally insufficient under a federal administrative law statute, which requires adequate notice and justification before the government terminates a right it has previously granted.

Can’t have a politician doing what he promised to do while he was campaigning. Sets a bad precedent. Might make the others look bad.

Oops, my bad. The Donald is not a politician. In my opinion he is a man who is trying to do what is best for our country.

Secure the border. It’s still our country. For now anyhow.

Fox article had nearly 32,000 comments and rising.

That really sums up why Trump gets so much pushback in DC. As much of a big shot as he was and is in business, he was never a political insider. Political insiders generally like and serve the status quo. Trump, love him or hate him, is not just violating the status quo, he’s pretty much buttfucked it every day since taking office. Establishment dems and RINOs don’t like that. Status quo is the only thing they hold sacred.

For most of my adult life, the unofficial mottto of the Republican Party has been, “Vote for us or the Democrats will win!”
And then they’d do exactly what the Dems wanted in the first place. Look at the budgets the Paul Ryan House passed… no Democratic Party priority left unfunded.
Donald Trump? He wants to WIN.

Of course, both parties cannot abide that.

“President Trump intends to keep the partial shutdown in effect until he gets funding for the border wall.” It is Congress that is responsible for the nation’s purse. All the House has to do is contribute to national security by providing the funding needed. It refuses to do so. Consequently, as I see it, it controls the ‘shutdown.’

Put Chuckie in a closed room with Trump.
Single baseball bat on the desk.

Trump: Either you pick up that fucking bat up or I will.
Schumer: Will that be cash or I can I write you a check Mr. President.

SFC D

Put that on pay-per-view, we’d be able to pay for a lot of wall!

I keep going back to the GoFundMe site for the wall to see if it peters out. It isn’t and the small donations that are streaming in are remarkable. It may reach 20 Million today.

My Glorious Senator, Mr. Chris Murphy, suggested that the president ‘act like an adult’ then laughed smugly and retarded, like he eats crayons like a world champion.
Here’s an idea Chris, how about you act like the adult and do your f**king G*ddamn Motherf**king job!
We have a nation, this nation has laws, this nation has borders, this nation has history and processes worth preservation.
If you do not agree, why don’t you go be a Senator in that failed sh*thole government over in Europe, you prick.

Looks to me that you have a perfect email to send to ‘Morphy.’ Just 86 the first line.

“Several federal judges have held that the Trump administration’s reasons for terminating DACA were legally insufficient…”

Ummm, the fact that DACA, as implemented by the SCoaMF, is unconstitutional isn’t legally sufficient to terminate the program? I’m beginning to see a problem here, one that may require torches and pitchforks to rectify.

Could not agree more. I do believe a storm is brewing. When exactly it makes landfall is hard to say but I believe it is coming.

The DREAM Act has been kicking around since 2001, in one form or another. What is common to all versions is that none has ever passed Congress. DACA and the DREAM Act are easily confused because both go to similar subject matter: the children of illegal aliens. The DREAM Act would legislate that DHS grant legal resident status to illegals meeting certain criteria, including that they have been no older than 18 at the time they entered the country. DACA (The 2nd A does not stand for Act because it isn’t law. It is a 2012 construct of Red Line, the guy with a pen and a phone.) DACA is an end-around the refusal of Congress to pass the DREAM Act. In fact, it is more inclusive of illegals than any version of the DREAM Act. How can this be, that Red Line was able to do–and do more–to keep illegals here than Congress itself declined to do? The answer is the 9th Circus. It upheld DACA when it was challenged. And the Supreme Court? Well, it had a chance to take the matter up recently but declined. I’m glad for that because it will be visited by a near-future Supreme Court and it will be cast aside, in my view.

you’ve really got to love the displays put on when a big, brazen, uncontrollable bull goes rampaging through china shops.

I mean that both in terms of this current battle, and that of what he’s doing to china via the trade war. quite a spectacle on both fronts.

I was reading a few articles over on American Thinker about this basically being the defining, polarizing, line in the sand Alamo moment not just for this administration but for this country. it’s really something watching a guy who can’t by any realistic standard be controlled or handled holding his ground against an entire establishment.

and the longer this goes on and the longer this country realizes that it really can in fact go on with life without vast swaths of federal encumbrance – I mean government – then the brighter the future looks for subsequent shutdowns and movements.

American thinker?

Too much anti-semenitism in the comments section.
Articles are good, though.

I don’t read the comments, just the blog entries and articles. I save my comment reading for TAH, where comments from folks whose opinion matters to me are posted.

Heaven has walls, a gate, a guard and a strict entry (immigration) policy.

Hell has open “borders”.

Think about it.

President Trump, it still feels sooooo damn good just to type that, is doing exactly what we hired him to do, stand up to the swamp and clean the thing out…
Unless and until they find out the real reason the four brave Americans were sacrificed in Benghazi, they will have won….
They are praying like hell for him to lose in 2020 so they can put everything back the way it should be…
The seeds of this play were laid down in the first Bush Presidency and continued with a brief hiatus after 9-11 that then continued up until 2016…..
So there is a lot of work to do…

Did you see Pelosi & Schumer’s rebuttal?
They looked like my parents after I came home stumbling drunk one night when I was 17. Jeez..
