Veteran Starts GoFundMe for Wall, Donations Flooding in

| December 20, 2018

Deny President Trump funding for the wall, frustrate the GOP’s base against their leadership in the process, get many people who’ll vote Democrat once they become citizens, and get the numbers needed to “wreck” the country thus making socialist policies more ideal.

Would we even need a GoFundMe effort if the vast majority of illegal immigrants were political conservatives, and voted that way in general elections once they become citizens?

A veteran has stepped up and started a GoFundMe page in order to raise funding for the wall. As of this posting, over 6 million has been raised. The fundraising effort began in December 16, 2018.

From GoFundMe:

Too many Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens and too many illegals are taking advantage of the United States taxpayers with no means of ever contributing to our society.

I have grandparents who immigrated to America legally, they did it the correct way and it’s time we uphold our laws, and get this wall BUILT! It’s up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling.

“If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall.” That equates to roughly 5 Billion Dollars, even if we get half, that’s half the wall. We can do this.

Democrats are going to stall this project by every means possible and play political games to ensure President Trump doesn’t get his victor. They’d rather see President Trump fail, than see America succeed. However, if we can fund a large portion of this wall, it will jumpstart things and will be less money Trump has to secure from our politicians.

It’s up about a million since I threw in 3 hours ago.
Yes we can, built that f’ing wall AND lock her up!

MAGA!

Ex-PH2

Gee whizzikers, and Pres. Trump said in that meeting with Chuck and Nancy that he needed
$5 million.

That leavea a BIG chunk for a block party afterwards, doesn’t it?

2/17 Air Cav

Billion.

26Limabeans

That was billion with a B

Cthulhu

Good. If people want to waste $5 billion on a pointless wall to make a political statement then let them pay for it. As long as they also commit to maintaining it.

Otherwise they can buy all the land along the border at the market price and build their own private wall on any border property they are able to acquire.

Taxpayers should not be wasting money on an inneffective overpriced vanity project for a malignant narcissist.

There are more effective and more cost optimum ways to handle border security in the 21 century than a moronic wall.

Donations flooding in.

Looks like you’re the only one who thinks that not having secure borders is a good idea, SquishfishMcBlobish.

I have a GREAT idea. YOU take in all 3,000 or so of those slackers at the border who want a free ride. YOU give them the free ride out of YOUR pocket. YOU pay for everything they want, including food, housing, medical stuff – all that crap.

I have no idea why you think tax payers should fund that nonsense, especially since you don’t do anything but sit on your flabby ass all day long and stare at your crotch.

YOU take in all those freeloaders, slugabed. Do it or shut the frack up.

26Limabeans

This cartoon reminds me of your comments.
Not sure why, it just does.

The wall works. It is not a perfect, be-all end-all solution. It is one tool of many on the border. You, on the other hand, are just a tool.

Dwight Schwarz

Does anyone know where Lahrs mom lives, sounds like we need to take a bus load of these illegals to live with him.

2/17 Air Cav

“There are more effective and more cost optimum ways to handle border security in the 21 century than a moronic wall.”

Apparently, whatever you have in mind escaped the brilliance of Red Line, Wide Load, and Schumer back in 2006 when they voted to fence the border. But, okay, let’s hear your plan. I’m sure it’s a dandy.

2/17 Air Cav

Come now, Lars, what’s the plan, the big idea?

5th/77th FA

Bitch just will not go away will he? I am convinced this bitch is a masochist that honestly gets off on the abuse that is heaped upon him/her/it for completely inane asinine crap spewing forth. It’s OUR country. We have the RIGHT to secure our borders. We are paying 200 billion plus on the whole ILLEGAL immigration problem.

Invite them all to come work at your place, give them a green card, and YOU take care of them. And in the meantime; BITE ME!

I suspect he is signaling his leadership style:

Yep, massed artillery, and an aerial bombing range, but you bleeding hearts would whine about that too…

5th/77th FA

“…massed artillery…” Yeah Baby, that’s what I’m talking about. Don’t tease me Fyrfighter. And Aerial Rocket Arty, Poe and Sky both would get off on that.

And think how many POSer stolen valor mofos we could call on that used to be door gunners in the Viet of the Nam. How many Navy Berets Green Marine Ranger Force Sniper Para Seal Recons would come back on active duty for this?

It would give them a chance to show us all the real deal hero stuff. Tambone would lead the pack.

NHSparky

STFU, Lars.

UpNorth

Lars, I know that you show up here for validation, in some weird way. You get off on people telling you what your shortcomings are, and really stroke it when the insults fly. But, seriously, just FOAD, mmm-kay?

2/17 Air Cav

“I know that you show up here for validation, in some weird way. You get off on people telling you what your shortcomings are, and really stroke it when the insults fly.”

Congrats, UpNorth. You summarized the be all and end all of Lars to a tee. Is it UpNorth, PhD (Psychology)?

BTW, how is your son doing?

UpNorth

Still taking him to therapy twice a week. He had an MRI last week, little change, the bleed he had hasn’t gotten bigger, and it’s not bleeding now. His long term memory is fine, his short term is coming back in bits and pieces.
The migraines have started, not often, just enough to remind him he’s had a head injury.

Mason

A pointless vanity project like Obamacare?

What’s the more cost optimum way? Drones, cameras, and “smart” sensors? A wall or fence has been THE GO TO solution to keep people out of places for thousands of years.

Cthulhu, your ability to be a complete idiot is, at this point, rather impressive.

SFC D

It takes all of that. Plus boots on the ground. Technology can’t apprehend people very well.

Perry Gaskill

You might be missing a subtle point, Lars. Just building the wall isn’t necessarily the only end game. If 63 million people contribute $5 Billion through private funding, it offers a fairly clear mandate. One large enough that it couldn’t be ignored by Progressive Democrats.

Your snippy comment about having to buy the property is also a non-starter. The feds likely already have right-of-way control via easement. If not, acquisition via eminent domain would be a slam dunk.

Government engages in joint public/private projects all the time. Consider that if Congress opposed building the wall even if funds were available, it would send a clear message, one which should be no surprise, that the real core issue isn’t about money. It’s about Progressive Democrat support for open borders in the interest of votes, and their continuing war on the middle class.

ex-OS2

I would imagine many ranchers on the border would be more than happy to allow a wall to be built on their property.

SFC D

I know a few that wholeheartedly approve.

“Taxpayers should not be wasting money on an inneffective overpriced vanity project for a malignant narcissist.”

I know… but Obama (your deity) just had to have that wall around his DC residence after he retired.

Don’t be so hard on him.

Aussiepusser

If taxpayers “should not be wasting money on an ineffective blah blah blah”, then why should they be forced to waste money feeding, educating, and otherwise taking care of people that have no right to be in the USA in the first place?? (or any other country for that matter. Case in point, Australia)

HMCS(FMF) ret

Lars, adopt all of them, let them live at your place “socialist style” (30 to a room) and let them do all of the shit work that you wont do because it’s beneath you.

Until you do that, STFU Fucknuckle.

MrFace

So let me get this straight.

You think is pointless yet, as of now, hundreds of thousands of Americans are supporting an effort; not because of Trumps policy(“I will get Mexico to build the wall.”) but because of their own belief system(sense of security.) Additionally, they are willing to fund from their own coffers(capitalism because they can afford the giving of money towards the effort.) Moreover, a border wall will create jobs(again capitalism and support of the dream to make some money, not have the government subsidize an income.)

And you decide to mock and display moral superiority.

Well played, fuckboy, well played.

Here’s to the wall.

Cheers,
MrFace

RCAF-CHAIRBORNE

How about DDR style. 2 parallel concertina fences with a ‘kill zone’ in the middle with mines, sentry guns ect. Post guard towers every few KM. Bob’s your (confused) aunt 🙂
Even though I’m a hoser, I would gladly come down and donate my labour for its construction.

5th/77th FA

Works for me CHAIRBORNE. I’d even volunteer to pull tours of duty in the watchtower. And hell, I’m an old man. Small, but wiry as hell.

Mason

That’s what we need if we are serious about security.

If I were a poutine-eating Canuck, I’d start building the wall on your southern border now just in case we can’t stop em. 🙂

Ernie

Wait, is TAH just a political site now? And John died? Bummer to come back and find out.

ex-OS2

Politics has always been discussed on TAH, just a dry spell lately with Stolen Valor. Stick around.

11B-Mailclerk

TAH is and always has been a hangout for Veterans.

Why would one expect such a place to lack political commentary?

Suggestion: craft an article or three you think is suitable. Post in the open threads. Ask for comment, and offer to write regularly for the site.

Note: generating clicks and comments is essential.

Ball is in your court, Ernie.

BTW, welcome back.

Fyrfighter

Well SHIT! Totally unlreated, but just saw that SECDEF is resigning…

UpNorth

Just heard a follow-up, Trump said Mattis is “retiring”, Mattis is said of have told people he quit in disagreement over Trump pulling the troops out of Syria.

11B-Mailclerk

There appears to be very little public support for our involvement in Syria.

That right there pretty much dooms it to a Charlie Foxtrot. Whatever the merits of the thing, whatever the benefit, lack of US public support dooms it.

I can respect the concept of “let us not squander our heroes on tasks for which America is unappreciative and unsupportive.”

Our goal at war should be “conquer the opponent so thoroughly that the thought of a repeat engagement induces mass urination, in the foe and in their friends”

Otherwise, stay out. Go big, F-ing – win-, or stay out.

We as a nation seem to have forgotten what Victory means. I demand it of our leaders. I think Trump actually gets that.

I think the Victory way will both shorten our conflicts, and reduce the frequency. Ultimately, less folks will be willing to attack us or even annoy us greatly.

GDContractor

Just saw it. Sad day.

2/17 Air Cav

Trump must be a helluva guy to work for. The senior people he needs don’t do it for salary, and a man such as Mattis doesn’t do it for status. Not a good thing.

11B-Mailclerk

Trump has this odd notion that the people he hires work for Trump.

Most folks in DC seem to have divided loyalties.

Trump clearly expects folks on his team to serve their country Trump’s way. At some point one either compromises to do so, or offers a resignation.

Better this than the long train of saboteurs and backbiters.

Mattis is a class act. Wish he could stick around. I respect what he has accomplished.

Mason

Crap, he was one of the best things going for the administration.

Fyrfighter

Agree with all the comments.. now, as Ex would say grab the popcorn, because the same leftist idiots that shit their pants when Trump nominated Mattis will no predict the end of the world because he’s leaving… two years ago, making him SECDEF was the worst thing that could happen, now having him leave is.. liberalism truly is a mental disorder!

Ex-PH2

Yes, stock up on popcorn, chips & dips, favorite beverages and have some movies on the side, as a balance.

I think there is much more here than meets the eye. Mattis is no prima donna.

Slow Joe

I just saw the SecDef news.

All the enemies of America are dancing, from the DNC to Moscow through Beijing and Hollywood.

HMCS(FMF) ret

I served with GEN Mattis when he was CO of 7th Marines… straight shooter that had no tolerance for bullshit. If he’s leaving, he’s got a legitimate reason.

Best day was when he was confirmed as SECDEF… today is a sad day…

Ex-PH2

So, not one of you thinks he has something up his sleeve? Yeah, okay.

In war, practice dissimulation, and you will succeed.

Reddevil

Are you referring to Trump or Mattie? Matt is was pretty clear in his reaignation letter that he disagreed with Trump; given the timing I think it is safe to assume that withdrawing from Syria without consulting him or the National Security Council was the final straw.

Poetrooper

“…without consulting him or the National Security Council…”

I think you nailed it right there, Red. Unfortunately that tends to be Trump’s management style, consulting subordinates only when he feels like hearing their input.

Ex-PH2

No, not Mattis.

Brian

Get honest and ask yourself, ‘Should I not build or maintain a privacy fence at my own home?’ There is your answer dumb*ss.

Brian

Do you have a fence around your house? Why? There is your answer on the border wall you dumb **s hypocrite!

Wilted Willy

I just dropped $100 in the tin cup, how much are you putting in there Lars? Now STFU and go back to wetting your bed and sucking on your mommies teat!

Kenneth Taylor

Most civilised family’s have a fence around their bloke of land so they can define and protect their rights and their boarders. Can’t see why a nation shouldn’t do the same thing. Keep immigrants coming in to the country via the front door and keep the back door well guarded and safe. Free loaders are a dime a dozen. Each nation has enough of them with out importing extras from other countries through the back door.
