Trump orders an end to Syria mission
According to Fox News, the White House has issued instructions for the withdrawal of US troops from Syria;
According to a Washington Post report, Trump said that while U.S. troops can still be involved in training local forces to ensure security in liberated areas, he expects other nations – particularly the oil-rich Arab states – to help pay for the reconstruction of Syria and send in their own troops.
“As far as Syria is concerned, our primary mission in terms of that was getting rid of ISIS,” Trump said on Tuesday during a news conference with leaders from the Baltic nations. “We’ve completed that task and we’ll be making a decision very quickly, in coordination with others in the area, as to what we will do.”
The mission is “very costly for our country and it helps other countries a helluva lot more than it helps us,” Trump said.
Well, at least he didn’t give ISIS a timetable scheduled withdrawal like his predecessor did in Iraq and Afghanistan.

PH: I typically give 15% for even mediocre service. I believe the quality of our service rendered rises to the 20% level. Unfortunately, I base that number on the body count of us troops, who died trying to ‘improve’ those horseshit countries. Was driving around Kurdistan in 2004-5, and the difference between Zakho,Erbil or Dohuk and Mosul was night and day. The first three had construction going on all over the place, were relatively clean and resembled cities. The last one looked like someone had dumped a big ass dumpster all over the place. Never had a problem with the Kurds.
I was in the same places around the same times. Walked down the streets in Dohuk and Zakho without a worry. Was invited in for tea at almost every door. The Kurds were/are great people and great fighters too.
Once again throwing our only real allies in the region to the wolves to be slaughtered.

Bush created ISIS by stupidly going into Iraq when it wasn’t a terrorist threat. Iraq didn’t support Al Quaeda. ISIS existed because the USA was in Iraq occupying the nation for no good reason whatsoever. It’s not fiscally conservative to spend 3 Trillion dollars on the Iraq War. The Iraq War was a very liberal spending policy, AKA “corporate welfare”.

It’s easy to sit there and after the fact claim Iraq was a bad war. Reality is Bush Sr fucked up and passed the buck by not ending saddam leaving a future president to do so. Saddam was an issue that needed to be dealt with. ISIS was a Saudi and Sunni response to failed Shiite Arab spring take over of Bahrain. It had nothing to due with Bush Jr.
Hind sight is 20/20 and the big mistake the of America was thinking Muslims wanted liberation when in reality they just want perpetual warfare with Muslims and non Muslims. Also Iraqis are deeply bread in with cowardice.
I seem to remember ISIS starting AFTER the US pullout of Iraq and originating in Syria as a fanatical Islamic group fighting against Assad after Obama pushed for his removal. But hey, I’m just a guy that watches the news devoutly because it helps me prepare for where I’m going next.
BTW, I deployed as many times under Obama as I did under Bush jr.
