I don’t know how you select these but GD are they a hard read. From “‘Tolerating’ the rule of law’, some lefty, “Because they are more determine(sic) and less principled than we?”
Yes. That’s it. Nailed it. Principled.
Precisely the word I’d use, as in, “Lefty shitheads are ‘principled’ in their systematic destruction of the Constitution.”
I guess bill Clinton was right, it does depend on what your definition of ‘is’ is.

I thought Russia was bad:
“41. unfortunately we only have ourselves to blame-
we had every tool in the world, access to information, press, etc. but you just can’t heal stupid. US has lost its standing in the world after it launched the war in Iraq which Gemrany, France and Russia strongly opposed. This was the beginning of the end of US global respect and dominance. We regained some of it back when Obama came to power but it only lasted until his senseess Bush like decision – Lybia. As much as we can all hate putin, he is the smart one here playing a long game. It’s evil genius against stable genius. We all agree that it was illiegal for Russia to invade Ukraine but US should have stayed silent on this – because they violated the wolrd order under Bush W. and no longer had standing. In this respect, Russia’s claim to Crimea seemed more valid than US claim to Iraq which it doesn’t even share border with.

With this in mind, I think that it would be nice for a change for our country to implement a non-intervention Switzerland like global policy.

Would we have been better off if we had never invaded Vietman, Korea, Iraq, Lybia, etc.?”

…my brain hurts…

It’s hilarious to see a bunch of lefties denouncing Manning as a Kremlin stooge. I thought Wikileaks was a good thing? I thought Medvedev deserved flexibility and anti-Russian foreign policy belonged in the 1980s. I guess that was before Russophobia became the centerpiece of the anti-Trump narrative.

That, along with making Democrats denounce $1,000 bonuses for workers as “crumbs” (a few short years after pushing for a payroll tax cut on the basis that families would benefit from $40 extra a month), really reveals what unprincipled dicksuckers leftists are. I could appreciate Trump for that alone.

Nixon, Trump – I guess these clowns haven’t read Ellsberg’s ‘The Pentagon Papers’, have they?

Every president from Truman through Nixon lied their asses off about Vietnam. Ellsberg published that tome in 1971. Ben Bradlee at the Washington Post was a friend of Jack Kennedy’s (the Dream God of the Democrats), and was devastated that Kennedy had lied to him about it.

There is no comparison between Nixon’s idiotic approval of the break-in at the DNC headquarters and Ellsberg’s shrink’s office, and what is going on now. These people are completely delusional and ignorant.

Let’s do send them some gift certificates for those Unicorn Fruit Loops, shall we?

I need brain drano.

Perry Gaskill

I’d disagree. At least somewhat.

Ellsberg worked for the Rand Corporation who had been contracted to determine the roots and causes of the Vietnam War. All of the material in the Pentagon Papers was a matter of public record collated by a team of people at Rand. Taken as individual parts, it wasn’t all that important. Put the parts together, and it was controversial– at least from the standpoint of anti-war activists circa 1972.

Ellsberg didn’t “publish” the Pentagon Papers; he merely made available to the press the work Rand was doing.

If memory serves, the main reason some people were upset with Kennedy was because he had given his blessing to the assassination of Ngo Dinh Diem. He didn’t order it, he just said he wouldn’t stand in the way if the ARVN wanted to carry it out. It turned out later that getting rid of Diem was probably the correct decision, but not something done under the white-glove rules of diplomatic protocol. Also keep in mind this was before Gulf of Tonkin and the introduction of combat troops in 1965.

The major mistakes we made in RVN, just my opinion, related to a failure to understand the dynamic of a country made up of a minority of urban catholics controlling a majority of rural buddhists. One of the reasons we mostly missed the clash is because religious friction didn’t manifest itself in the same western manner that you might see in, say, Northern Ireland.

The communists under Ho Chi Minh didn’t generate the initial friction, they merely took advantage of an existing situation and forced the Vietnamese rural majority to make a choice.

Thanks for the feedback, Perry.

In my view, if Nixon hadn’t done what he did with the Watergate nonsense, he might have finished his second term and not left office looking like a damned fool. LBJ wanted the war in Vietnam to be “my war”, the way WWII was FDR’s and Ike’s war. It backfired on him.

Another Tuesday of ass hurt over at DU…

Claymore

And you’ll be happy to know that a “blue wave” will most certainly sweep the country in the mid-terms. 100% legit.

Mason

Cause the polls say so. Like they said with 98% certainty that Hillary would win.

What’s the saying? Stupid is doing the same thing over again the same way and expecting a different result. Or something like that.

A Proud Infidel®™

Oh, the looks and sounds coming from TARDO mediots on Election Night, TALK about 190 Proof Schadenfreude!!!

Ex-PH2

That’s very interesting. I got a voicemail from someone planning to run on the GOP ticket to replace the local Dem Congressman. This new guy is in favor of term limits. I think I will vote for him.

A Proud Infidel®™

I LOVE the sound of liberal butthurt in the morning, it sounds like VICTORY.

Mason

God what a collection of sycophants and shallow thinkers they cultivate over there. Should be called delusional underground.

Just checked and “delusionalunderground.com” is available. I’ve spent a lot of money on sight gags before and to register it is less than $10/year. I’m feeling like it might be worth it to buy and redirect it for them. So that when people are seeing and hearing fantasies they can find like-minded folks.

A Proud Infidel®™

I wonder if liberal mainstream news mediots don’t get some of their talking points from there?

Dinotanker

Jonn,

How the hell do you manage to stay sane and coherent after going through this crap every Tuesday?

You must have a lifetime supply of patience and industrial grade brain bleach. One of my team mates read some of this democratic underground stuff and she said “I almost lost my shit on that stuff, who the fuck writes that??” This is from a 26 year old.

HOW DO YOU NOT LOSE YOUR SHIT????? You have my deepest respect.

Ex-PH2

Actually, you should address that question to Claymore. His strength of mind seems to hold him up under the onslaught of nutballery at DU.

I admire his stamina, too.

Claymore

I have “plot armor”…in other words, I adore their little drama, but I point and laugh and don’t take them seriously in the least. Case in point, I recall a scenario not too long ago where two DUtards were trying to hook up (in the Biblical sense) and they honestly were holding a fund raiser on DU to facilitate the pairing. Not even kidding. You couldn’t even make up shit like this.
