Wednesday morning feel good stories

| November 22, 2017

From Citrus City, Florida;

On Monday, just before 2 p.m., the homeowner woke up from his afternoon nap when he heard at least one person entering his camper, according to Citrus County deputies. A “disturbance” then took place and the homeowner shot two people at the scene — one inside the camper and another outside.

Deputies said all parties involved were males and it was an isolated incident. Two subjects were airlifted to Ocala with gunshot wounds. Their identities and extent of injury were not reported.

While the investigation is ongoing, Citrus County investigators know there was a disagreement between the homeowner and subjects who were shot. It has not been determined whether any charges will be filed, or whether they knew each other.

From Eros, Louisiana;

Sisters Belinda and Antionetta Jones were sound asleep early Friday morning until they heard screaming coming from their front yard.

“He was yelling,” Antionetta said. “My sister and I around the same time heard him yelling and we was hollering who is it, who is it.”

They then armed themselves with one rifle and one shot gun.

As for the intruder, he had plans rather than identifying himself.

“Before we could get to the front of the house, he had kicked the door in, he was in the house, turned the light on and was prancing in the living room,” Antionetta said.

“By the time that she came that way and I came this way, he was just pacing here,” Belinda added.

Yet, who was this man and why was he in their home?

Police said it was 40-year-old Tommy Foster Jr.

Homeowners said they are thankful the man they saw inside their home was a neighbor who lived down the street.

Although he was a neighbor, both the sisters said he was in a state of mind that they saw as unusual and bizarre.

The sisters said at one point he said someone was ‘trying to kill him’.

They found out later he was apparently high on bath salts.

“You never know what he was gonna do ‘cuz he was just seemed like his mind was, it was just going. It was just going ninety to nothing as older people would say,” Antionetta added.

Thankfully this intruder left without the Jones’ having to use their weapons, but this family said it’s a reminder to always be prepared for the worst.

From Denton, Texas;

The fight started at about 3 a.m. Sunday at an apartment in the 900 block of North Austin Street, where police said Knapp and the 23-year-old victim lived. Kizer said the man had taken some of the woman’s Adderall pills, which are used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy.

Police said the man was kicking and throwing things before he tried to leave the apartment through a back window with the pills. The woman followed the man to the front of the apartment as Knapp got into his vehicle.

The woman, Kizer said, tried to grab the medication in the car when the suspect “pushed her so hard that she was thrown backward into a brick wall,” he said. When she fell to the ground, the man pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive away. A nearby witness then jumped onto the hood of his car to stop him, Kizer said.

The witness fell off the car when the suspect turned onto a nearby street. She suffered a small abrasion on her hand, Kizer said.

The victim was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, where police noticed bruises on the woman’s arm consistent with someone grabbing her. Her head was hurting, Kizer said, and she suffered several abrasions or her back.

After she was released from the hospital, the woman returned to the complex at about 8 p.m. with her stepfather, who had a license to carry a concealed weapon. She forgot her apartment key, and she was trying to open the door when the suspect approached her with a hammer, Kizer said.

The suspect, Kizer said, was “yelling and cussing”and holding the hammer when the victim’s stepfather pulled out his pistol. The suspect later told police that a man broke in his door and put a gun to his face, denying any physical altercation earlier in the day, police said.

Knapp was arrested and taken to Denton City Jail.

From Tulsa, Oklahoma;

Tulsa police search an area near Second Street and South Utica Avenue after a man says someone was trying to break into his house.

The resident fired a gunshot, but did not know whether he hit the man.

We’re told the suspect was a black male wearing camoflage clothing.

The suspect was armed with a hand gun.

The man ran away after the shot was fired around 12:49 a.m. Tuesday near 1800 East 2 Street.

From Raleigh, North Carolina comes this mug shot of William Winston after he was “subdued” by a convenience store clerk during Winston’s attempt to rob the store. Police found him laying in the parking lot after his encounter. He was charged with robbery;

A disappointing lack of fatalities this time around but it is getting close to Christmas.

Mr. Winston appears to have met with an immovable object. (snerrrk)

What I can’t understand is why on earth someone would steal a prescription drug that gives you hair loss, among other unpleasant side effects.

err, maybe because he had a “wild hair” in his ass he wanted to remove?
