Monday morning feel good stories

| November 20, 2017

From Sarasota, Florida;

According to deputies, the suspect identified as Geoffrey C. Ruscher, 42, became belligerent after he got into an Uber. The driver said he repeatedly asked Ruscher to get out of the car, but he wouldn’t.

Ruscher eventually did get out, but then reportedly made threats to the driver and started punching him. That’s when deputies say the Uber driver pulled out a gun and shot Ruscher in the leg.

Ruscher was taken to the hospital for his injuries, then to the Sarasota County Jail. He’s charged with assault and battery and is being held on $620 bond.

The victim was licensed to carry and won’t face any charges.

From Sanilac County, Michigan;

The homeowner told investigators three men broke into his home and shot him in the leg.

The homeowner returned fire hitting one or more of the suspects.

The Sheriff says one intruder died at the scene while another intruder was found dead inside a vehicle in a ditch at Holbrook and Germania Roads.

Investigators say the suspect inside the vehicle who died is from the Flint area.

The vehicle was reported stolen from Flint in October of this year.

The third suspect has been taken into custody.

Good shootin’, Mitch (Mich). Shoot and kill two, while dealing with your own pain from being shot in the leg. Deserves an Expert shooting badge.

And in Michigan, the world is a more peaceful place……now.

According to the Bay City News, “A (Flint)Times reporter who visited the scene was met by a man who aggressively told him he did not want to talk about the incident. The reporter left the site pursued by two pit bulls“.

Someone in Michigan is not a fan of journalists.

I suspect that reporter went back to the newsroom and exclaimed “They hate us! They really, really hate us!”

Kinda bad luck for the truly honorable journalists out there – they are tarred with the same brush.

UpNorth

Yeah, both of them./s I think that the ‘reporter’ got his/her revenge, they printed the guy’s home address. The only thing missing was a map, and photo of the house hell, they did include a photo of the house.
I wonder where those pit bulls were when the guys showed up with guns?

desert

Except, he should have aimed a bit higher than the leg imo

As for the Uber driver, I hope he put a permanent limp in Mr Ruscher’s gimp that will hurt every time there’s humidity, and HOPEFULLY (but somehow I doubt it) remind him to behave himself.

Even though I applaud the Uber driver, and it’s great news that he won’t face any criminal charges, Uber is likely to “deactivate” him.

Uber is located in San Fran, and they fit right in there socially and politically.

Many thanks to the Michigan home owner for taking out the trash.

Keepin' It Real

Kudos to both the Uber driver and the Michigan homeowner.

Maybe there’ll be a chance that these guys won’t be repeat offenders. The ones that lived, anyway.

“became belligerent after he got into an Uber”. H’mmm, did he take “tact lessons” from a Disbarred lawyer that lives a little South of him?

Tallywhagger

Hmm, reminds me of HissyPissy Danni-B and the DRG.

Doc Savage

Good job Michigan….way to stay in the fight after being wounded.

You just made Michigan and the US a bit safer.

Ex-PH2

Is this a two-bagger or a three-bagger Monday?

Anyway, nice shootin’, Flint.

$620 bond ???
You gotta be kidding, for beating the shit out of a taxi driver?
He should have at least a $10K bail. Why do they give these pukes a free pass to offend again???
Good shooting for the other guy and the Uber driver needs to drive himself to the range for a while.
Center mass boys and girls !!!

David

Does that mean he is unable to raise $62 to get out? Wow…

I am gratified that the article referred to the shooter as the victim instead of the shootee. I am sure it was just an oversight, but how refreshing!

I guess they didn’t have to Ruscher to the hospital since it was a shot in the leg. So no ruscher on the bus to the ER.
