Thursday morning feel good stories
From Carrollton, Texas;
Police said a 33-year-old man entered an apartment through an unlocked patio door. The apartment’s resident shot the man once in the chest.
The intruder, whose name was not released, was taken to Medical City Plano Hospital and is in critical condition.
Police said the man will face a criminal trespass of a habitation charge. He’s been accused of a similar crime before.

Good shootin’, Tex.
Too bad it wasn’t enough to put the intruder into the morgue instead of the hospital.
In typical journalism fashion no mention of caliber
One shot to the chest and the perp will survive just goes to show you that handguns are not death rays
Regardless of the caliber or type of firearm, a shot to the lung is not going to put one in the morgue immediately, although it was, evidently, enough to stop the perp from continuing his actions.
Without further details, I suspect that this was a lung shot without damage to major blood vessels. It took his breath away, but not permanently.
Gurgle gurgle…wheeezzze, gurgle gurgle…wheeezzze, gurgle gurgle…wheeezzze.
Man, that sucks.
His ego wasn’t the only thing that was deflated.
Apparently, the perp was seeking free stuff.
Well, he certainly got something for free.
He’s done it before – bet he won’t be quite so eager to try it again. If he does, then let’s hope the next center mass shot has a little bit more “oomph” behind it and cures the issue for once and for all. I know a lot of Texans that just love their .45’s and 44 magnums.
Found the trouble he was looking for…
