Wednesday morning feel good stories

| October 4, 2017

From York, Pennsylvania;

Police say the three forcibly entered an apartment, and one of the suspects assaulted a 22-year-old man. The suspect allegedly struck the man with the back of a semi-automatic style pistol.

A resident of the apartment stabbed one of the suspects with a knife while defending another resident from being assaulted, according to police. After the stabbing, the three suspects fled on foot, police said.

Neighbors chased the thieves and pointed them out to responding police officers.

From Rowan County, North Carolina;

Scott Moose, who lives on nearby Clearfield Drive, told deputies that he had a video of Lambert attempting to break into his car. The suspect fled on foot and was trying to leave the area in a car when Moose confronted him, officials said.

Moose told deputies he fired a shot during the exchange, striking Lambert in the head area.

Rowan County EMS took Lambert to North East Medical Center, where he remained for treatment Tuesday.

Deputies say they were dispatched to at least two other addresses in this immediate area for vehicle break-ins this morning.

Deplorable B Woodman

You don’t mess with a dude named “Moose”.

Deplorable B Woodman

And with a name like “Lam”bert, you either run out of there, or be a sheep. (sorry) (no I’m not)

Thought one of the more interesting stories today was the cop who thought movie filming of a robbery was an actual crime and popped a cap on the actor (fortunately missing from about 20 feet away! but that is another issue.) Neither party is being charged (although the cops say they want to be aware of ANY filming like that) but it was interesting that the cop yelled “Put the gun down! (BANG) Put the gun down!” – in less than 3 seconds. The actor had NO time to react. Think that cop needs some training… damn near killed someone who didn’t even have time to obey his instructions.

David, re: training.
I watched some footage from a cop cam where they shot a guy in the stomach cuz he wouldn’t comply with there screaming to get down and get his hand out of his pocket. That’s two cops, each screaming something different at the top of their lungs. When the perp went down from the shot, he’s holding his gut and now the cops are screaming at him to put his hands out and roll over.
Dude, you just shot the mf’r in the gut – of course he’s gonna put his hands where it hurts. Sheesh.
I ain’t LE, but it just seems like common sense.
