Sunday morning feel good stories

Dave Hardin and Bobo send us a link to the story of a Hurricane Harvey thief in Corpus Christie, Texas;

About 11 p.m. Corpus Christi police officers responded to the 7100 block of Ficus Court, near Yorktown Boulevard.

Officers found a man who had been shot in the head, officials said. According to officers at the scene, the man had broken into the residence and was shot by the homeowner.

The shooting happened about an hour after Hurricane Harvey — a category 4 hurricane — made landfall near Corpus Christi.

Another one in Houston, Texas;

An alleged intruder was shot dead by a home resident in Houston’s Greater East End early Saturday.

Authorities received a call about the incident around 3 a.m., according to the Houston Police Department’s homicide division.

A person reportedly attempting to enter a home in the 6900 block of Avenue T was shot and killed by someone inside.

From Rowlett, Texas;

According to McLendon-Chisholm City Administrator Dave Butler, two intruders were shot by a Rowlett homeowner earlier today. One of them escaped and ended up at the Shell gas station.

The reported home invasion and shooting occurred in the 7000 block of Mercurys Road in Rowlett, Texas, before noon.

The wounded home intruder was discovered at the gas station, in the 100 block of State Highway 205 just north of the Kaufman-Rockwall County line, and was transported to an area hospital to undergo surgery. The intruder’s current condition is unknown.

Butler says the intruder falsely reported being carjacked to explain his gunshot wound.

The second intruder was found at a local hospital after seeking medical attention for a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the Rowlett Police Department.

The Rowlett Police Department says both individuals forcibly entered the home on Mercurys and began shooting. The male homeowner returned gunfire with a handgun.

From League City, Texas;

On Aug. 25 at about 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 200 block of Harbor Bend Lane in the Bay Colony subdivision.

They arrived to find the suspect, 38-year-old Donald Reese McCorkle, sitting in a front yard with a gunshot wound to his leg.

After arranging medical care, officers learned that McCorkle allegedly attempted to break into a home and was shot one time in the leg by the homeowner, police said.

Don’t mess with Texas. These Economic Redistributors would be better off relocating to a more criminal friendly environment where politicians enact legislation favoring the “oppressed”.

You’ve heard of Russian Roulette and now you know Texas Roulette. Entering a home to find out if there is a gun owner with one in the chamber waiting for you.

UpNorth

They dindu nuffin.

Ex-PH2

So they use the hurricane as an excuse to be stupid, do they? Why is this not a surprise?

Bobo

I guess that they figured no one would be home with the hurricane and it would be easy money.

Hack Stone

And a hurricane would be a great way to dispose of a body without having to answer questions from the District Attorney. I would have dumped their remains down the street and let Harvey deal with it.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Or any gators that were “relocated” because of the storm…

Deplorable B Woodman

Nice shootin’ Tex, one to the head. Sweet.

AZtoVA

Texans take a dim look on looting. I’m guessing that’s why a lot of folks didn’t evacuate.

ALVO

You reap what you sow. Fucking fool’s insist on “sowing” lead. DEAD AND DESERVING OF IT.
