From Dallas, Texas;
The 83-year-old man told police he asked Robert Facundo to leave his home about 1:40 a.m. in the 900 block of Glen Oaks Boulevard. Facundo refused and started threatening, yelling and advancing towards him, police said. The elderly man said he feared for his life and shot the arrestee in the leg, police said.
Facundo was treated at Methodist Central before being transported to Lew Sterrett Justice Center.
From Port Richey, Florida;
Authorities arrested a man accused of breaking into a home in Port Richey and then fighting a male resident inside the house.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office says known suspect Chad Lynch, 28, broke into a home on the 9000 block of Hidden Lane. Lynch then got into a fight with a man living in the home and fled the scene.
Deputies spent hours searching for Lynch. He was eventually spotted trying to hide inside of a car. A short foot chase occurred, and Lynch was arrested.
From Anchorage, Alaska;
A man suspected of firing several bullets into a cash register while robbing a hardware store on Muldoon Road on Saturday evening was then shot by the store’s security guards while trying to escape, according to witnesses and Anchorage police.
The incident occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday at Andy’s Ace Hardware store at 240 Muldoon Road.
The security guards shot the fleeing man, who has not been officially identified, in the abdomen and the shoulder, said Sgt. Jeremy Conkling of the Anchorage Police Department.
The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, Conkling said. He said police detectives were investigating the incident.
“The man did have a gun, he did fire shots in the store and he was shot by security,” Conkling said.
No one else was injured in the incident.
Chief Tango sends a link from Baltimore, Maryland;
Police said Sunday that a man in the Halethorpe area attempted to contact police and hold another man who was allegedly breaking into a car. The man allegedly breaking into the car resisted, and when officers arrived they found him unconscious and not breathing, police said.
Police said they are investigating the incident as a “suspicious death.” They did not immediately release the names of the two men involved.
No word on cause of death. I guess we’ll need an autopsy.

“threatening, yelling and advancing” towards an old guy is a sure way to get yourself hurt. We don’t feel like running, or taking any lumps and will shoot those who threaten us.
“firing several bullets into a cash register”
