Sunday morning feel good stories
From Harris County, Texas;
HCSO said the deputy was working an extra job as a security guard for the complex when he noticed a man with drugs and a pistol sitting on top of an AC unit. They said he ordered the suspect to get on the ground, but instead he reached for the pistol.
The deputy then fired several gunshots, striking the suspect in the leg. A window of a Metro PCS store was shattered by one of the bullets.
The suspect was taken to the hospital, and is expected to survive. They said he faces charges of possession and trespassing.
From Milwaukee, Wisconsin;
A 26-year-old man was shot shortly after noon while trying to burglarize a home in the 6700 block of N. 58th St.
The man was seriously wounded and the person who shot him remained on the scene and was cooperating with police.

Seems like Houston is not the most pleasant place to live these days.
It’s OK, and in general most areas have little crime. That may be attributable (sp?) to Houstonians’ habit of shooting for cener of mass. I was surprised to see the deputy fired several times and got a leg hit – usually it takes several Houston cops doing full ammo dumps to get one hit.
It’s concentrates on the black communities. Too bad if that offends anyone. It’s the truth.
Looking at the report at https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/tx/houston/crime
Houston is safer than 5% of the cities in the U.S. – the question of course being what cities are in that 5%?
Looking at the crime report map that Houston PD links to
(https://www.crimereports.com/ search “Houston, TX”) and scrolling around the Greater Houston Area map there are thousands of crimes in a month all quadrants of the city. They vary by quantity but not much by type.
My wife and I say we escaped from Houston when we moved out some decades ago. Not planning on going back. And with the lib-progs in charge of the city government, it’s getting worse.

See, shooting at the legs works….
My only question is what did the Metro-PCS store do to provoke deadly force against its windows??
