Thursday morning feel good stories

| May 4, 2017

From San Antonio, Texas;

According to officers at the scene, the homeowner said he heard a noise outside his home in the 4100 block of Cliff Oaks, then saw the man scaling his backyard fence.

He fired at least one shot at the intruder wounding him in the leg, police said.

The homeowner told police the wounded man then climbed another fence leading to a neighbor’s home. He said he stopped the suspect and forced him to lie on the ground at gunpoint until officers arrived.

Police said the wounded man was dressed in his underwear and may suffer from mental issues. He was taken to a hospital.

Police say that the homeowner won’t face charges.

From Houston, Texas;

Investigators said three men forced their way into the man’s home, where his wife and two young children ages 5 and 6 years old were inside.

The homeowner was pistol whipped and his family was forced to lie down on the floor.

The men were looking to rob the victim, but police said at some point the homeowner was able to get his own gun out to defend his family.

There was an exchange of gunfire, and the suspects drove off in a pickup truck.

“About 30 minutes later, we received a report of a male at the hospital off of 249,” said Houston Police Lt. Larry Crowson. “He had been shot. We believe it is the suspect from this shooting. He has been transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition, but he is expected to survive.”

From Chino Hill, California;

A Chino Hills homeowner snapped a telling photo of himself pointing the business end of a gun at three teens who tried to break into his house.

The family spoke little English. Their neighbor told CBS2’s Crystal Cruz what happened Monday afternoon when the family heard unwanted guests in their back yard.

“They came home from supermarket, and they noticed somebody jump the fence and try to pry in. And he panicked. He had a gun. So he pulled out and do a warning shot,” neighbor Tony Tran said.

The homeowner held three burglars at gunpoint until San Bernardino sheriff’s deputies arrived and arrested them on suspicion of attempted burglary.

From Jacksonville, Florida;

A woman said a man followed her home from a nearby store.

Investigators learned the man was shot after he forced his way into a woman’s house and demanded money, officers said.

She grabbed a handgun and shot the man, officers said.

He walked a few blocks away and called police, officers said.

The man was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Yes Ladies, you can defend yourselves.
“Investigators learned the man was shot after he forced his way into a woman’s house and demanded money, officers said.
She grabbed a handgun and shot the man, officers said.”
In several other instances at the link people were threatened by intruders, but defended themselves with their legally owned firearms.

“The man was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with injuries not considered life-threatening.”

They should have taken him back to the woman so she could fix that.

So nice of Me. Team to tell the cops that his neighbor panicked. He should have said:

“He have cold as ice in he veins” instead.

Wow, what a story! Tough girl! Thinking to put the transmission in drive so he can’t crank the engine – that’s thinking under pressure. I hope to see her with a badge and a gun in a few years 🙂
