From Spartanburg County, South Carolina;

At 5 p.m. Monday, deputies said several people came to the sheriff’s office to report a home invasion that had happened on Sprouse Road in Spartanburg.

One of the victims told investigators that a man and woman, later identified as Phillips and Matheny assaulted him outside the home, and then forced him inside while holding a gun to his head.

Once inside, that victim said he knocked a gun out of one of the suspects’ hands, and while they all were trying to get the gun, the victim yelled to his brother upstairs.

The victim told investigators his brother came downstairs and shot at Phillips and Matheny, who left the home.

Destinie Nichole Matheny and Calvin Lee Phillips were already at the hospital being treated for their wounds. They are charged with armed robbery, first-degree assault and battery and first-degree burglary, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

From Jacksonville, North Carolina;

Officers responding found Stacey Kendell Ross, Jr., 20 of Jacksonville, had been shot and was laying in the parking area of the complex.

The investigation revealed that there were five subjects involved in an attempted home invasion/robbery. The preliminary investigation indicates that the suspects were engaged in a possible robbery and that during the robbery, Mr. Ross suffered multiple gunshot wounds. A firearm was recovered at the scene. Ross was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

During the night, investigators located all the suspects of the robbery. All four were taken into custody without incident. They are Joshua Ray Cordts, 18; Sean Douglas Padgett, 18; Steven Lamar Lewis, 18; and Haleigh Marie Noling, 17.

In Tucson, Arizona;

Authorities say they’re looking for two or three suspects who fled the scene in a sedan.

They allegedly claimed to be police, but investigators don’t know yet if they were dressed as police.

The homeowners and suspects exchanged gunfire and at least one suspect was hit.

The body was found about 5:30 a.m.

My Cuban Coffee is a little sweeter when I read of instances where lawful homeowners are protecting themselves, their families and their goods with their weapons. I am sure the thugs aren’t as happy as I am, since many of them are wounded or killed. And to run from death, for 3 miles and lose the race? Bwwwwahahahahahaha
